Wonderful little hole in the wall restaurant/​bakery. Small place with 4 tables and a counter for seating.
Been coming here for takeout almost every day to bring coffee @ 1.25 a cup and a piece of pastry (1.00) or their delicious chicken empanadas (1.50) or their breakfast balyadas to the guys working for me.
Everything is fresh, tasty and well made on site.
The chicken empanadas with their house made hot sauce it wonderful. I have tried empanadas from many of the local places on Speedwell and Pan Casera is tops.
They have a pretty full menu and the clientele is mainly local. Plus each day a get a lesson over the counter in Spanish so that’s another plus.

Stopped in on a whim during my lunch break and walked out with beef and chicken empanadas. The crust was great, and the filling was quite good as well– moist and flavourful. The filling is a bit more mashed than usual, a sort of potato-​meat paste that was quite good.
Stop in here if you want a quick lunch– they offer savoury bites on top of the regular bakery offerings. Similar to Pan Pizza just down the road in that regard.
