The Grapeful Palate has a special focus on family-​owned and operated wineries and vineyards. We are Morristown’s home for great wine, craft beer and specialty spirits.

Much more than your everyday liquor store, we specialize in limited production wines from all over the world. Right in the heart of Morristown, NJ and among some of our town’s finest BYOBs, we offer great values in every price range so you can be sure that you’ll always find something special no matter what your budget.

History

Established in 2009.

Formerly Gabriel’s Wines, The Grapeful Palate opened its doors in October 2009.

Meet the Business Owner

David M.

Business Owner

David Mendez has more than a decade of experience in every facet of the wine and liquor industry including distribution, wholesale and retail sales, portfolio design, and purchasing.

He began his career working with several specialty importers/​distributors where he honed his extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals and producers.

David later went on to work with a distributor that focused exclusively on small, artisan, family-​owned and operated wineries and vineyards with limited production. During this time he visited liquor stores all over NJ and continued to develop a passion for putting great but unknown wines into the hands of wine lovers. This experience helped shape his vision for what would become his own wine shop several years later.

Today, at The Grapeful Palate, David shares his love and knowledge of great wine with one goal — to introduce people to new wines, beers and spirits while making the buying experience approachable and fun.
