Trendy spot with a good menu. A great urban location and feel with a nice friendly staff. The food was good. A great place to enjoy the evening.

We have been here 5 times and always great for us with a 3 year old. I wanted to share a way above and beyond hospitality moment there. Silly daddy gave little one a late lunch and than took her on a bunch of errands and bounced her in the car for about an hour. picked up mommy at train station and than went to restaurant. Mommy is at host/hostess stand and little one gets sick. The staff brought out napkins and towels and made a tough experience a walk in the park. the owner or gm came out and said no worries and than had one of the servers give my wife one of their shirts to wear so she could change. what!!! We will be customers for life!

Went here for brunch about 12pm Sunday. They were busy and we got seated right away but at least 10 full minutes passed by and we had to ask the hostess to get the server. When he finally came he had an attitude. We asked if it was possible to order a single pancake as a side item and he said«you can but we’ll probably charge you the same price as the full stack.» so we just ordered the stack. Our food took a very long time. I ordered my egg over medium and it was even more raw than over easy. The whites weren’t even all the way cooked. A lady came and took it back right away, they took my same egg, tossed it on the skillet and then tossed it back on the rib hash. The table next to us cleared out and the lady who cleaned it sprayed her cleaning stuff carelessly and because of the way she aimed it, some sprayed into my food. She at least said sorry right away. When the table to our other side got their order, their slider was missing the top bun. Seems like they are consistently making mistakes! Our server suddenly became nicer once it was time to give our check. This is our 2nd time going and it seems to have gotten worse. We went on a company lunch again a few days later(we did not choose and it was close to the office) and my coworkers burger came out under cooked. They at least take food back right away to fix it but with all these other issues. I think I will avoid this place at all costs going forward. To mention the«good» and write as objectively as possible, I will say the décor is nice and coffee was good. Still does not make up for the all the other mishaps.

Food and beer selection where excellent but the service was some of the worst if not the worst iv ever had in my life. Just as an example we order some apps including a flat bread pizza and nachos. We got the food and after about 5 minutes we had no choice but to ask for napkins. They brought us 3 bar napkins. Only 3 bar napkins to eat finger food? Ontop of all this the bartenders where rude and unfriendly. Listen you can be an excellent server with a poor attitude and i will deal. You can be a not so great server but have a great personality and thats also acceptable. But to be both a horible server and an asshole, im amazed this place is still in business.

A step up from your average bar food; I enjoyed the office much more than I expected to. The place itself is two floors, very spacious, and has a modern, upbeat atmosphere. We were seated upstairs and felt a little isolated but it was quieter so it was okay. Food– sweet potato nachos were bomb. I had the ahi tuna burger which exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely get it again. I chose the quinoa side which was an odd combo but actually really yummy nonetheless. We got two beer flights and that was the biggest downfall of our meal. What are the chances that all of the beers were terrible… Wouldn’t get that again. Comparing this to the office in Montclair(not sure if the two are related) this is wayyyy better. Good for a casual night out if you fancy something a little better than you average bar food.

My first visit at the office tavern was for dinner. My fiancé and I wanted something fresh and simple and I was blown away by the way the quality of their food. My salmon was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The service was great and our waiter was super friendly. The fresh made flatbreads they serve was a nice touch. On my scone return, I had gone for brunch. I had booked a table for 15 to celebrate the day after my wedding. My reservation was at 11:00 and because we were traveling with such a big group, we walked in about 11:10 instead. My party and I stood at the front of the empty restaurant for about 10 minutes with the staff staring at us from the back where the kitchen was. No one came to greet us, nor did they attempt any sort of gesture to acknowledge. When the hostess finally came up, she had told us to wait because they were setting up the tables for the area I requested. I then turned to tell my sister the reason for the wait and the hostess, who was not a part of the conversation in any way, said«well, we were busy setting up for other reservations before you». Mind you., the restaurant was practically empty. I counted a total of 5 tables that were occupied. The hostess was incredibly rude. As for the food during brunch, I wish I had better things to say and wish that my guests could have experienced the salmon I had previously for dinner. We had all agreed that the Benedict by the Sea was incredibly underwhelming. It was bland, the crab cake was a bit fishy, and the hollandaise lacked acid. The only thing we all truly liked was the tater tots. All in all, I was just disappointed with the service at brunch. You’d think you would want your hostess to be extra nice since she’s the first person people meet when they walk into the restaurant.

Delicious !!! This flatbread wasn’t too filling but just hit the spot. Great recommendations by the server as well. Our server Matt helped me chose my two flatbreads to do half and half, he was excellent!!! Matt was a wonderful server I would come back for the food and because of his service. He was kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome. As someone in this industry I appreciated his genuine attitude :)

Decent appetizers, okay selection of beers. Nothing noteworthy, at least on a positive end. Prices are up there, as expected with Morristown(except Grasshopper and a few others, yeah, go there if you want to get HAM). My largest complaint was the WD40 or oil compound which must have been freshly applied on the underside of our tables. As I stood up, my thighs brushed the edge of the table, and with it, a splatter of oil undesirably customized my pants. I suppose if you’re into Rorschach blots, have at it but my poor mother spent an hour cleaning them damn pants. No stars for you.(Kidding on the momma joke, it was only 30 minutes; not kidding on the stars, your staff should know better). Whether you are visiting Morristown or live/work in Morristown, this is by no means a destination, just another shack on the Green.

I’ve been here a few times now. I’ve actually enjoyed it the past two times I’ve been here, once for dinner and once for drinks. They have a pretty great menu selection so that I’m pretty torn looking things over and deciding what to get. The last time I came I had the smoked salmon BLT which was as amazing as it sounds. Can’t really beat their beer selection for Morristown. I’m a big craft beer fan and this place has lots that I haven’t even heard of. The counter opposite the bar downstairs is awkwardly short for plates, so if you’re grabbing a bite downstairs, try to grab a spot elsewhere.

I’m going to rip the cord on a 3 star for these guys. The beer selection is amazing and I like the louder atmosphere of a beer hall. As another reviewer noted the ingredients don’t seem to be the freshest. I had a party in the private room and my group felt rushed. The room itself was lovely, but again, the food was not the freshest. If you like beer and a louder environment, I say go for it, if you want something on the quieter side with five star food, you can have that elsewhere.

I liked the atmosphere, not my food. The Chimichurri Steak Baguette was overdone and chewy. I was expecting a Chimichuuri sauce on the meat… but no. If it was seasoned with something chimichurri-like…it failed. And could someone explain to my why the meal comes out and the appetizer and appy plates are still in front of us? Picture: the server can’t move things because his hands are holding our entrees, so we have to make room for the entrees ourselves. Then… they leave the(finished!) appetizer plates there. Hello? do YOU the server want a nice tip, or should I keep it for doing your job?

A few friends and I went here a couple weeks ago on a whim and I’m so glad we did. The décor and atmosphere were great– sophisticated but not too fancy. Our server was very helpful, patient, and informative. She recommended really great meals. And the salads are very delicious and not small! The chicken was okay but the steak and shrimp are the stars! Also, the flatbreads are super yummy! But the best thing was the stone fired spinach dip. Warm, cheesey, crusty goodness. The warm tortilla chips wth the gooey spinach dip is perfection. Definitely try the desserts if you have room. The warm cookie with cold chocolate ice cream is an amazing combination. Bottom line: try this place ASAP!

Service remains very good. The food is tanking. We’ve been many times and have been very pleased until recently. The time before last my food was so over salted I had to send it back. Last night’s chimichurri skirt steak sandwich was inedible. First, there was no chimichurri sauce! Why call it that? Secondly, the steak was cut into 2″ slabs, rather than the thin slices that allows you to bite in and chew. I took my first bite and the entire pile of steak came out. Not a good look. Please go back to caring about the details. Maybe this very much repeat customer will come back.

The food here is pretty good, not great. The staff is super friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. It’s a bit on the pricey side but I guess it’s normal for the area. The new remodeling helped a lot, though the vibe this place gives off seems average.

This review is based on my second visit to this restaurant. The first time I came here, it was with my husband and 7 year old son on our Sunday Family Movie Night. The experience was great from the ambiance, staff, cocktails(loved the cucumber cooler) and food. So when we returned yesterday, after watching a movie, my expectations were set. Sadly, it was nothing like our first time. The server’s bottom buttons were undone revealing stretch marks and more skin than I needed to see. She had no knowledge about the beers they had on tap when I was trying to select the 4 to sample for my reasonably priced $ 9 beer flight. The food took extraordinarily long even though it appeared to not be busy at the establishment. I asked for no cheese with my grilled shrimp & arugula salad and it was covered in it. When she returned with a new plate, they only changed the salad but reused the original grilled shrimp that were now cold and had cheese on it. For someone who has a sensitivity to dairy this was a complete turn off. If their cook staff will not be hypervigilant and respectful to a patron’s dietary restrictions, there can be serious consequences if the patron becomes hospitalized if not killed by the allergen. The manager did provide me with freshly grilled shrimp and comped the $ 8 surcharge of adding shrimp. Overall, my impression of this restaurant has changed and it’s not for the better.

I’ve heard good things about this place and I really wanted to like it. But, overall, a big disappointment. Only Pro: Very friendly staff. Drinks: The Appletini was all citrus. It was so bitter, I couldn’t even drink it. Way too much lime juice. When I gave my feedback to the waitress, she grabbed a straw and drank some of it. Very bizarre. Flatbread: The ingredients did not taste fresh at all. Tasted like store bought canned sauce and processed mozzerella cheese. I’ve had better out of a box. Chicken and waffles: The chicken was so dry, I almost choked. The waffles tasted like Aunt Jemima instant waffle mix and the sauce was very bland and buttery. I don’t think this place is cooking with fresh ingredients and it is very evident. We opted out of dessert because we were afraid it would have been just as bad as the rest of the meal. Overall, really underwhelming. I’ve been to a couple of their sister restaurants which both exceeded my expectations. The Office really surprised me. I wouldn’t reccommend it to anyone.

The good: Love the truffle tots!!! Great appetizer to split with 2 – 3 people! The food is consistently good, never have had anything bad. Aside from the truffle tots, I recommend the tuna burger, or any salad they have. They always have a great selection of beer on tap, and their cocktails are really great. The service is very hit or miss. The bad: It is so small inside! No matter where you sit it is always cramped. Again, the service is hit or miss. So, once you are sitting at a cramped table, or cramped at the bar, or the uncomfortable high top(if you have ever sat there, you know what I am talking about), and the service stinks because it is so crowded, you’re not having a good experience, this is what happens to us often, and why I am giving this restaurant only 3 stars. We will come back, but it won’t be very frequent.

Word of advise– bring your own wine and martini glasses– they don’t have any! I do still enjoy a meal at the Office Tavern and their other fine restaurants, however the one thing that truly detracts from the experience is the new glasses they have for wine and martinis. They both are lacking stems! Everyone else I speak to that eats there about the crazy glasses doesn’t like it either. When I once asked the waiter about it he said they changed to the stemless glasses after having too many broken glasses. I am afraid they will go to plastic cups and plates as well just so nothing brakes.

We love the office happy hour for a couple drinks and either apps or something from the«road trip USA» menu. Tonight we tried the quesadilla verde, with chicken, corn, black beans, cheese and a tomatillo salsa and lime crema(SOGOOD) and the pork bbq tacos from the road trip menu. Highly recommend both. The craft beer menu is rotated regularly with some favorites usually in the rotation. It can get crazy busy in the bar area during happy hour, so get there early or be patient. The wait staff is usually pretty attentive and is helpful in finding the right beer. Just ask for a sample and you’re well on your way to a fun night.

40 beers on tap, but hard to choose which to drink because the menu doesn’t quite explain the profiles of the beer well. Many were tapped and not replaced. Beer flight was the way to go to sample for only $ 9! Lighting was very bright near the bar — atypical for a bar setting.

My girlfriend and I went here on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted with a smile, our server was very attentative(but not pushy), and the food was exceptional. You must try the«BENEDICTONTHESEA» dish — the crab cake adds amazing flavor to the classic Eggs Benedict plate! It is easily the best dish on the Brunch menu! 10⁄10 and we will definitely be returning.

Didn’t know that I never gave the Office a review as I frequent it almost 4 times a month. Place puts out consistently good food every time I’ve been there. I often try to have something new each time I go, and I can really say that everything has been great. This is def one of my favorite places to go eat and grab a beer after work or a class. Great before hitting ironbar, jockey hollow, or any bar in the area. That being said the craft beer menu is pretty extensive and I am happy with the selection of beers on tap each visit. I am not saying in this review that you will have a meal that changes your life, but I can say that the pizza, slider burgers, wings, and other casual things you may order will always be spot on. I even one time had a seared ahi tuna burger which I thought was too damn good.

Cozy Morristown, N.J. stomping ground joint. Great comfort food and various culinary dishes that all pair really well with the seasonal craft ales and wines. The only flaw is they really need to turn down the super bright lights and create an ambience that will help generate this establishment to an even better cozy local town spot.

My last visit here was such a disappointment! It started with me ordering a martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives and our server saying they don’t have bleu cheese stuffed olives… which is odd to me because how could a restaurant not have bleu cheese or olives? I ordered a burger without the bun(I have Celiac disease) cooked medium rare. Of course it shows up with the bun, and my waitress goes on a rant about how she can«prove» to us that she entered it correctly and that the kitchen messed up. When she leaves we cut into our burgers and see that mine is cooked super well done, it’s basically white. She comes back and I tell her this and she runs off to find a manager. She comes back a short while later to tell us that she is still trying to find the manager, and that it actually was her fault about the bun since she ordered it incorrectly. Over the course of the next 20 minutes our server comes back at least 6 times(my friend said 9) to tell us that she’ STILL trying to find the manager. By this point I am annoyed. Our experience is totally ruined not to mention I have this unappealing meal in front of me. The manager FINALLY comes over after 25 minutes and says«I heard about the burger, I took it off the check». I appreciate him doing that, but an apology would have been nice, or maybe a different meal!

If you’ve been to a well-run Applebee’s, TGI Friday’s or a Houlihan’s, you can pretty much expect a similar type of experience here. The Office Tavern & Grill in Morrison down serves up cuisine that’s a good notch above these chain restaurants, but isn’t what I’d call a food destination. Which is fine because you come here primarily to meet up with friends, drink beer, and eat through an array of standard and not-so-standard fried pub fare, burgers, and flatbreads. If the service at the party I attended here recently is a sign of their overall service quality, then good news — The Office must run a pretty efficient operation. We were sat upstairs in a private room, complete with tables, a large flatscreen TV broadcasting the Yankee game, and our own set of bathrooms. Beers and relatively poorly-made cocktails flowed for hours by a small army of servers and attendants throughout the night. Food fare included a basic antipasto platter, with sliced meats and cheeses, veggies, and all of your typical accoutrements. Flatbreads were also pretty standard, but were decent enough. An ambitious attempt to gussy up cheeseburger sliders by swapping the bun out for two slices of grilled cornbread, however, was a fail. Most guests roundly agreed that the sweetness and texture of the cornbread just didn’t pair nicely with an otherwise perfectly cooked slider patty. Another ambitious attempt to turn chicken fingers into a not-so-traditional chicken & waffles platter also received mixed reviews. Essentially a pile of crispy chicken tenders atop a pile of waffle quarters, and then ladled with a thick and glurpy maple chicken gravy was more weird than delicious. I commend The Office for its attempt to differentiate itself a bit, but in doing so you have to make sure your concoctions and alterations of the classics actually work. Otherwise, just go back to perfecting the standards and I think your guests will actually enjoy the food more. Lots of great food options in Morristown. Not sure I’d be rushing back here if was making the trek up again from Central Jersey.

I’d been to the prerenovation Office a number of times but not in years. I think this was always my favorite in this small chain .Well I must say they have done a nice job fixing the place up. The beer selection is very good and I had a decent cheeseburger for lunch which was served rare as I ordered — and that’s a real plus.(the concept of rare is unknown to many). The staff was nice and service was good. Prices are reasonable. I“d been before Id go again. Also music was discernible but not ear splitting– what a relief!

We go here often for drinks/food after work and love it! Food is excellent and they have OK happy hour specials. I believe they have over 40 beers on tap! Love their flatbreads and chicken sandwich — such great flavors. Definitely has a unique feel, with indoor, outdoor and bar seating. It can get a little pricey for what you get but I would say it’s worth the money. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!

Oh The Office, how I’ve missed you so much when you were closed and renovating. This used to be one of my favorite happy hour places to go to and the food was always on point. The new and bigger Office definitely has a better interior(they better. they closed for over a year) but the food has gone downhill from the old Office. Not only has the food going worse, their portion sizes are smaller now and prices seem a bit pricier than before. They also changed the entire menu! Perhaps we were just trying the wrong entrees? We tried the Fish & Chips and the Chimichurri Steak Baguette. The fish & chips were nothing special, it was rather bland. The steak in the Chimichurri Steak Baguette was extremely difficult to chew(couldn’t bite into it without taking the entire chunk of steak out of the baguette). We had the regular fries and sweet potato fries on the side for our entrée and the sweet potato fries($ 1 more) were really soggy and not crisp. However, the regular fries were fine. Still really disappointed. The service was pretty good and the ambiance is great. I’m willing to give The Office another shot because I used to love it so much but I’ll probably just try happy hour next time.
