Established in 2005.

Owner, Eleanor Gallo-​Meditz, always had a deep connection and affinity to animals. After much soul searching, she left her successful position at her corporate job to pursue a labor of love. She, along with husband Scott, started up While You Were Gone Petsitting Service 9 years ago, and have never looked back.

We’ve been using While You Were Gone Pet Sitting Service for nearly a year. We have had consistently great experiences. Eleanor and Scott care are flexible and are always looking for ways to say yes. They’ve taken great care of our three pups and our cat when we’ve been out of town, or when we need help with a walk to make our schedules work. Perhaps most importantly, we feel like the service is a terrific value and we highly recommend it.
