Have you ever wondered where your dog walker was while you were at work? What if you questioned if he or she arrived for the appointment? I found Sitters for critters Unilocaling at the Philadelphia airport for dog walking my little puppy Romeo.
Guess what? I like it when I receive email notifications when they arrive, leave, as well as receive GPS tracking where they walked my dog. Jennifer is my regular walker. She provides extra water and cleans any pet messes. I tell my friends and family about critter sitters.

Do NOT let your pet stay with Tristan! We were very excited to leave our dog with him based on the feedback seen on Rover, Unilocal,and other places, and the reviews don’t hold true in our experience!
Our dog came back severely dehydrated (he ran to his water bowl when we got home and drank the entire thing), malnourished (it took him 2 days after pick-up to have a normal sized poop), and his dog bed was drenched in urine (he doesn’t normally have accidents and has never had an accident in his own bed!!!). Tristan had our dog and at least 5 – 6 others shut in a room when we arrived (we could hear all the different barks). Tristan was not there when we dropped off or picked up — according to his mother, he was actually doing an overnight at someone else’s house! How are you taking care of our dog and 5 – 6 others in your house and you aren’t even there??? Additionally, we find it very strange that we were never allowed to see the house. Not even upon pickup when his mom shut the door behind her and went in and out 5 separate times to go in and look for our dogs belongings. She shut the door behind her each time. His food bowl got lost during a 3-night stay (how does this even happen??). Our dog came back hoarse from barking so much when he was there. You are better off taking your dog to a kennel, at least they do temperament testing and all dogs need to be up to date on shots at a true kennel. We feel lucky that our dog didn’t get physically hurt– he is a small dog and many of the other dogs were huge (which is fine but not when they are all locked in a room without exercise or supervision). To our best gauge, he was put in his crate all day, which he is supposed to only sleep in, not taken on any walks. The comment was made to us by Tristan’s mom that «his bowls didn’t fit in his cage with him, it was too tight.» HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! We will likely never let anyone else outside of family and friends care for our dog. Terrible, terrible experience.

My family and I just used Sitters4Critters for the first time and we were pleased with their service. We live in Montgomery County where I rescued my 11 year old Golden Doodle, Skye Baby.
Usually I have my best friends look after Skye, but this was a 4 week vacation in BORA-BORA! Anyways I called Tristen at sitters for critters and that guy was professional.
we came home to a clean house as we left it and my dog appears to be happy and healthy! We can tell Tristen took great care of our Skye baby and our home. I work at a dog rescue and I recommended Tristen’s services to everyone I know! Well worth the money! Than ks!

Tristin now does grooming!!! I had both my dogs groomed by him and he picked them up and brought them home and they both looked and smelled great!!! We just moved into PA and I was looking all over for a groomer when I found out Sitters 4 critters was now grooming too. Not only do I know my dogs are totally comfortable but he did a great job and his prices are very very reasonable! My big fluff ball will be going back this coming weekend for another groom and a hair cut to help him stay cool for the summer. Thank you Tristin for learning how to groom!!!

My dog Jules and I are first time clients of Tristan and I am very impressed. I was looking for pet sitter to watch Jules while I was out of the country for 6 days. Jules is just not receptive to being in a kennel, which is mostly my fault, as I do not crate or confine him at home and like a typical Shiba, he can be quite feisty.
I was able to have our first meet and greet with Tristan just a few days after I first contacted him. I could tell that Jules liked him. Tristan was able to get Jules to do tricks that he will not even do for me, and Jules gave him kisses, which he typically reserves for trusted friends! Tristan spent about an hour chatting with me and spending time with Jules, he even took a walk with us! During that visit I saw how important Tristan’s reputation is to him. It was both refreshing and impressive to see the pride in his face when he speaks about Sitters4Critters and the progress it’s made.
While I was away, I received multiple/daily updates and photos. I could tell that Jules was happy and Tristan seemed happy also (in one picture I couldn’t tell who was more excited!!). The real moment of truth was when I walked through the door; I would instantly be able to tell how well Jules was cared for by his reaction to me. I must admit even though he was glad to see me, he wasn’t overjoyed. And that is how I know that Tristan did a great job. Normally when I pick Jules up from the kennel, he is so excited and almost unable to contain himself and he’s very clingy. He didn’t act this way this time — I believe it’s because Tristan gave him good attention. I actually think he was quite disappointed to see me return!
That also made me realize how much Jules needs an additional outlet, so I will be using Tristan in the future, not just for vacations, but for the overall health and well-being of my dog.
I can’t say anything bad about Sitters4Critters. Tristan cares a great deal about his work, he made me feel comfortable leaving him with my dog and in my home, and frankly, I think Jules would rather have Tristan than me!

First of all, for those who are looking to find quality service providers, please take every review posted on this site with a grain of salt. (And yes, you’re welcome to do so with my review.) Do your own due diligence.
Many unsatisfactory remarks or reviews are usually caused by misunderstanding. I’ve found that the Internet is an easy emotional dumping ground due to its instant, impersonal nature. It’s easy to post scathing remarks in the heat of the moment. Logic takes a backseat. So think before you leap and post because you may not be able to turn back time.
I’ve known Tristan for quite sometime, both personally and professionally, and from what I’ve seen so far, he is a competent, knowledgeable, warm, and caring individual who loves his furry clients like his own family. With S4C, you will be in good hands (and paws)! :)

I am actually really sad to write this review. I wanted to believe them, I wanted to like them but I can’t after today.
Everything was great in the beginning, would get updates online, would get pictures and videos sent to me for my dogs regular dog walking. Then in June the dog walking tracker stopped working and I asked Tristan about it and he told me it didn’t work all the time, I accepted this but it was odd that it worked «sometimes» and not others. Flash forward to today. I was home sick and Tristan never showed up. When I asked him how the appointment was because my dog was sluggish he responded“we went for a run but I didn’t notice any sluggish”. When I confronted him he proceeded to give me a list of excuses, that he had the wrong client, he was in a car accident, that he sent me an email telling me he was not coming (that I didn’t receive).
I have completely lost my faith in this company and am truly sad and angry that they would treat my dog and me this way. Please don’t use them. They may be good to start but trust is everything and they are not worth your trust.

What you fail to mention Mr. Hamburg is that you told me in person when we initially met that you would be the only person going to my home to take care of my pets. You also never mentioned that in the event of a problem if you could not make it someone else would be in my home. Why would I allow someone I have never met in my home to take care of my pets when I am out of town? I have had pets in my home for over 35 years and have never allowed anyone do this. I also believe this is not true and you are trying to put the focus on an ‘employee’ since you failed to mention this to me during our initial phone conversation on May 13^th 2014.
When I told you upfront that I would be giving you a bad review on social media because of the poor quality of your work you said you would not bill me. You then called back a second time on May 13^th and then you stated that the so called ‘employee’ was fired since Miyagi did not get his medications.
I told you then and will state it on here that you as the owner of this business YOU are fully responsible for what you say you are going to do and you need to take responsibility for Miyagi not getting his eye medications and being taken outside three times a day the way he was supposed to and based on what we agreed on in person. Your decision to not ‘bill’ me is not very important in view of the fact that Miyagi not getting his eye medications as the vet prescribed is detrimental to his vision and his overall health.
I don’t believe you should be a caretaker for any animals and while this may sound harsh you failed to do YOUR JOB for Miyagi.

Both Tristan and Christine were amazing with our dog Chorizo! We’ve had bad experiences with kennels (including picking him up and finding open wounds on his legs), so we decided to try a new approach this time. And we couldn’t be happier! Our dog came back from their place well fed (he would lose weight every time he went to the kennel, not this time), happy, healthy and relaxed. Tristan and Christine were there for a meet and greet, and when we had a last minute change with the pick up time, they had no issue. Oh! And let’s not forget that they answered every single email I sent (and they were many:) asking how Chorizo was doing.

Sitters4Critters stepped up when I was stuck without a dog sitter last minute! Tristan was wonderful with my beagle, Penny! Normally she cries when I come home (even if it’s been 15 minutes!), but when I came home this time, Penny was very calm and happy! I know that she had a wonderful time while I was away, and I could tell she felt very comfortable with Tristan! This is absolutely a wonderful service, and we are absolutely new loyal customers! We have been using this service for several months now and the experience is always GREAT!!! We have 3 dogs and a cat; one of dogs is diabetic and needs regular insulin shots and eye drops due to his cataract surgery. Sitters 4 Critters is happy to administer what is needed and everyone is always in great shape when we get home. If you’re looking for a pet sitter you should give this service a try.
