Diamond Home Inspection Service

My wife and I were first time home buyers and we are very pleased at Jon’s work. He was everything you would want in a good home inspector (honest, thorough, accurate, etc.) but so much more. A few things I want to highlight are…
1. Going through the home with him was like a lesson in Homeownership 101 or Owning a home for Dummys (me). He explained everything in plain English so we could understand what something did in the house, what we had to do for upkeep and approximately how much it would cost to maintain as well as replace. As a first time home buyer this was huge and very helpful.
2. With some issues we found in the home he helped us understand which were high priority and most expensive so that we could prioritize to the seller of the fixes we wanted to request.
3. He gave us 2 separate reports. A general summary as well as a detailed one we could use for an appraisal. The turnaround time was amazing too, we had to meet him in the late afternoon/​early evening due to my work schedule and by the next morning I had PDF versions of the reports in my inbox! As you know, timing can be huge when trying to close on a house. You snooze and you literally lose… THE HOUSE!
4. Pictures. Included in the reports were a ton of high quality pictures with little arrows and circles so you knew EXACTLY what he was talking about in his comments.
5. We requested some work from the seller and Jon graciously agreed to come back out and recheck the work, it was a hike from where he was but he made the trip for us.

John did an inspection on my condo a few months ago and I was very pleased. He was able to show up on short notice and had already surveyed the outside of the building before I arrived. He was very thorough and professional and took his time to point everything out to me and explain what the problem was and how to fix it.
I received my completed home inspection report in digital format later that day and haven’t come across any problems on the new condo that weren’t uncovered in the inspection (knock on wood).
