The UPS Store

Best UPS store we’ve ever been in. We needed to get something notarized and the gentleman/​notary at the store was super helpful. This will be our go-​to UPS store from now on. :)

Over the last year, I have been using this location to drop off prepaid boxes for shipping. There is never a wait, always someone to help and I never buy anything. I love their drop off service. It’s so helpful! Especially if you are on the run. The people who work here are always friendly and so kind. I was offered a printed receipt of my tracking number once they scanned in my box. They are so nice I feel horrible not spending money here until yesterday. I was dropping off my prepaid UPS shipping box, but then I remembered I needed stamps and was about to go to the dreaded Post office. I asked if they sold stamps the young lady said yes we do! Real Forever stamps that Id have to wait in long lines for at USPS. Done deal! Simple easy and fast service! Not to mention… I dropped off a package to ship and it arrived at its location less than 24 hours later. How is that possible? I swear it happened! Good service!

I stopped in just to buy a box. An 18 inch cube. $ 6.85. I’m assuming this is a business «strategy» to gouge people who drop-​off things unpacked and never notice how much of the bill is shipping versus the materials. I suppose they ship like anyone else according to standard UPS rates– but get your packing materials from somewhere else.
They were very nice guys– I was just floored by the cost of cardboard.

Under new management… and you can tell! David is the new manager with two friendly helpers. The store has undergone some huge changes, not only in employee attitude and professionalism but the store is kept clean.
I’d HIGHLY recommend this place for holiday shipping.

Friendly staffs. Especially David! Everytime I go there to drop off my package, they not only greet me as if I’m their next door neighbor, but also their service is in a very prompt manner. :)

Dropped off some Uverse equipment with remotes and only received a receipt for the DVR boxes. When I asked Christine for a receipt for the rites she refused very rudely and said that she had no need for them. Like who needs sarcasm when all you want is a receipt? She needs to be retrained on customer etiquette

Although this store is a little out of my way, l try to use this store as often as l can. l love the girls that work there! Always polite and helpful, and the treat of getting to be greeted by Louie the dog has kept me coming back time after time. Iwas so bummed to hear Louie will not be «working «there anymore, it was such fun. The girls will probally still be as helpful, but may have to think twice before taking the extra time out of our crazy busy schedule.

The Morton Grove UPS Store is located in a small strip shopping center on the south east corner of Dempster and Ferris. Off-​street parking is available directly in front of the store.
I have dropped off several items for shipping and the service has been prompt and friendly. The same young woman has helped me every time I’ve been in the store. She is always in company of a large, friendly dog.

UPS Store screwed up the shipping address. I have a hard copy of the UPS Ground Shipping Document that I filled out with the CORRECT address on it. After 10 days of the package not being delivered, I decided to call the UPS Store. I explained to her that I wrote down the correct address, but some how the wrong address was in the systems. The manager told me it was UPS’ fault because they do not print the shipping labels. So I called UPS, who told me the UPS Store was at fault because in fact the UPS Store should have printed out a shipping label. They told me I should call the UPS Store headquarters and file a complaint on the store. When I called the headquarter, even THEY said UPS Store was at fault and they would take care of it internally. Yeah right, I know nothing’s going to happen. Anyways, I am irritated of how the manager handled the situation, or I should say DIDN’T.
*A word of advice, make sure you watch them print out the shipping label before you leave. Apparently a hard copy of the shipping document you wrote out yourself isn’t good enough. Don’t be so naïve to believe you’re in good hands. And don’t bother to complain to the manager because she won’t do anything about it, she’ll just tell you to call UPS. And if you try to call her, the other employees will «claim» she left for the day.
