Pick n Pull ripped me off. The employees are rude and uncaring.
I needed to get some window and door lock parts for car. I went there since am recovering from cancer and only make 650 a month now on disability. I had recently replaced brake pads on my car so figured I could do the window and door lock also. When I was leaving with my parts I paid for them and the woman asked to look in my bag. She found a couple of brake pads worn down to the mettle (from my replacement a couple months ago) one brand new brake pads (extra from the replacement and obviously never used it was in perfect out of the box condition) a hose clamp I bought for a radiator hose and the clamp that holds down my spare tire. I didn’t even realize they were in my tool bag. So she CHARGED me for them. I could not afford them so I returned the part I just bought them had to pay 2 dollars more to get my parts that I already owned back. I understand that they could not tell where I got them and u should have checked my bag before going in. But I do expect common sense! If the woman had looked she would have also found the box my good brake pads came in, and the package the hose clamp came in. And why in earth would I steel brake pads that were worn down to the metel? She also found an sensor that I replaced a couple months ago. It’s the old one from my car. I replaced it with one bought at Pick n Pull and I have the receipt from that purchase.
I am formerly a small business owner and I do not agree with stealing in any way. In fact ii am quite passionate about that. So to go there and be treated like a thief WHILE being robbed by them is just too much! So I encourage anyone who goes to pick and pull to steal whatever you can from them. Because sooner or later, they are going to steal from you. Better yet I found a website with great prices for new parts. As cheap as pick n Pull. Parts Geek. Much better than doing business with people who rip off cancer victims.

Recently discovered this place was in violation of dumping huge amount of metals and toxins into the environment. (Source: Ecological Rights Foundation) don’t give a company your business unless your goal in life is to destroy the place we live.

this is the worst business iv ever delt with. i sold my car to them and they fully pulled a shity scam that only worked because they have a monopoly in buying broken used cars and towing them. I told them i had 96 Acura integra gsr body all interior missing tires no engine did their questioner after said and done they offered me 425 for it when they finally showed up after missing 2 pick up dates (i had to take work off) they show up and say they have no notes their was no motor and transmission after we argue they offer me 360 so i have no choice i need the car gone i accept they end up not towing it because they brought the wrong truck they don’t send me the money so i call and they say they offered me 260 randomly we argue i have no choice but to accept the that and well see if i even get that and its not even the amount of money its just a shity scam if your guna scam some one don’t do it so blatantly and right in front of their face shitty ass business

Anyone ever heard of a man name Buki. He charges to get the part out of the car. Just want to hear reviews on him. IM a female I dont know how to pull out parts :)

CASH FOR JUNK CARS is who buys the cars you dont want and tow’s them to pick and pull. Most un-​organized company on the planet. I had to fax the documents for a vehicle 7 times. Ive been faxing the papers requested since Friday, it is now Tuesday and the vehicle is still sitting here. Every time I call to check on the status of my documents received, they cannot find my fax. I am very frustrated and I cant understand how cash for junk cars is still in business.

I don’t always fix my own car.
But when I do… I get my used parts from Pick-​n-​Pull.

Got a fix-​it ticket in my father inlaws 03 Taurus for a burned out 3^rd. brake light.
That’s a $ 100 part new at Ford. That car is barley worth that. Anyway, walked right in no charge. Tracked down the two cars I knew they had because I checked online the night before. Pulled one out of a 04 in the same color, sweet.
Paid $ 18.00. Plugged it in and I’m out of there. 45 minutes max.
No hassles. The place is clean for a junk yard.
Final words… There somewhat organized, you be also. Now get ta pickin!

I have to agree with the price increase to get in. It’s not like the cars have gotten any better.
The worst part is the way you check in or out.
Usually there is only 1 person to handle this. So you have to wait for the person who is trying to haggle the price down for 5 minutes just to say they don’t want the part they just picked. And your standing there trying to just get in the place.
People start stacking up to get in and out. And everybody thinks they are next.
As far as the customer service, they cater to Spanish speaking people.
One time a guy in front of me asked for a discount and got it. Right behind him was me. So I asked for a discount and he said no. Why? Because I didn’t ask in Spanish?
Just because I don’t speak it doesn’t mean I don’t understand what your saying.
Still no discount. What an a$$.
As far as the other customers, be careful if you are non-​Hispanic.
A lot of times they look at me as if they want to kill me.
I don’t understand why people like to bust headlights, windows and destroy good parts. So look out for the guy handing only 1 tool in his hand.
Most guys are rude and walk right up to the front and cut in line.
Yesterday I waited for a guy who was tring to reduce the price of stop light bulbs.
Really? You just spent 2 bucks to get in and get used stop light bulbs? Idiot.
As far as the cars, it’s hit and miss. After all this is Moss Landing not a major city.
I wouldn’t expect to get parts for my 72 Plymouth.

It has changed to much in ten years.
It used to be fun to run around out there, but now they act like the business is a retail auto store, of used dirty junk.
Customer service is crap.
I asked if they had a airbag for a cabrio and they said no, but we have a passat that’s a exact match so I grabbed it, of course it didn’t fit. The back was completely different, so I headed back another weekend to exchange it and they said I couldn’t because it was 2 days late on their 30 day exchange policy.
Save yourself time and money, use eBay.
Like it would have killed them to just exchange it for another one?

I’ve always been a fan of Pick N Pulls, visiting various locations all over the state on and off for years. It had been a while since I had visited the yard since I hadn’t owned an old enough car in a while, but my recently acquired hooptie needed a starter so I packed up the car and motored on down. Some things have changes, some have stayed the same. They now ask you exactly what you are looking for at check in so that they can point you in the right direction. On the surface that seems nice, but in reality the cars are just as unorganized as they ever were. The trucks I was looking for were scattered all over the yard in three different sections, mixed in with the mini-​vans, VW’s, and SUV’s. Their computer system doesn’t match the actual location of the cars. The other irritation here is that this REALLY slows down the line. It used to be that you just signed your name, paid your $ 1 (now it’s $ 2+), and walked on in. The line gets super long now, and some folks will spend well over a minute talking to the clerk. They also charge you $ 2-​$ 4 MORE to browse the «première yard». What kinda sham is that? Pretty soon you’re payin’ $ 6 just to LOOK. Back in the day, the $ 1 made sense because theft of «pocket parts» is pretty much an expected part of pickin’. They have to cover the cost somehow, and try and detour people who come in for no other reason than to pilfer shift knobs, but up to $ 6 just to LOOK is insane.
Anyway, enough of that. Back to the yard. The cars are WAY more picked over than they used to be say, 10 or so years ago. I think there are a lot more «career pickers» out there now a days trying to find the hot parts and resell them. The prices have also really gone up which is a huge downer. The savings over say e-​bay or craigslist is minimal now. Anyway, so I’m walkin’ the yard and pickin’ my parts. I find the starter I’m lookin’ for, as well as some other nice odds and ends that I needed. Pokin’ around all the old cars and tryin’ to find hidden treasures is really where the fun is. If it weren’t for the fun factor, I’d probably just spend the few extra bucks and buy my used parts online. There’s a lot of hidden gems out there in the yards though. Sometimes you’ll find options off of a higher trim level, or perhaps some aftermarket parts or modifications (rare, but they show up).
Well, now I’ve got my stuff and now it’s time to check out… errrrrrrrrkkkk Big ol’ long line. What happened to this place? The service at checkout is also quite slow when it used to be a quick cash and carry (and they seem to have three times the employees now than in years past). Sometimes the lady disappears into the back somewhere and doesn’t come back for a while. There were also people trying to haggle the prices and wasting everyone’s time. Anyway, finally I get to the front and I ask some questions about their return policy. The clerk ends up telling me what I later found out to be some little white lies in an attempt to get me to buy a warranty that’s more expensive than the part I’m buying. Luckily after a little bit of talking I get her to hold the part while I go and get the old one out of my trunk to compare before purchasing (technically this is not allowed per a big sign at the gate). That was pretty cool +1 on that. When it came time to seal the deal she was really pushing various warranties again. I don’t know why anyone would pay $ 36 for a warranty on a $ 20 part, but whatever.
Now for the rating. Despite all their shortcomings, Pick N Pull remains one of the only local businesses of it’s kind. That and the fun factor of hunting down deals bumps them up from three to four stars. There’s some real bummers about Pick N Pull, but a good time is always had.
Protips:
1: ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS keep an eye on your tools, and be wary of people asking to «borrow» your entire socket set for «just a minute». I’ve heard too many stories.
2: If you’re gonna be working under a car for a while, bring some cardboard for your back (the ground is gravel) and maybe some towels to catch falling hardware so it doesn’t get lost in said gravel.

The most frustrating thing about digital phone interfacing is that businesses now refuse to answer the phone. Coming from an age when the BIGGEST part of service was the ability to CONTACT THAT SERVICE I find places that do not pick up the phone but instead run you through their computer answering «que» do not get mine. Service STARTS with a person. Not with a waste of my time. Three times I have tried now to get service from these numb nuts. They have now struck out. Oh. And then they want me to PAY to get admittance to take a look if the part MIGHT be there?! Sorry, service in my book is a person (al) response (action), not a computer wasting my time or someone taking my money for a maybe because they can’t be bothered to keep an inventory. That is the OPPOSITE of service! Businesses are becoming the replica of a governmental model of incompetence and it’s maddening.

This Pick-​N-​Pull might be great for parts — I don’t know at all — but it turned out to be a painful place to «retire» my truck in California’s Vehicle Retirement Program. The employee conducting the process was friendly and helpful, but the process took THREE HOURS (oops — didn’t mean to shout). Nearly all the time was spent waiting for some corporate office to phone back and authorize the next step. Next time, I’ll bring chips and dip to share with the other waiting customers.

I really like this PNP, it’s a neat drive over there and being out by farms it really feels and smells like being in the country. Staff are laidback to match and sometimes open to persuasion…
As is the case with these kind of yards it can be hit or miss but most of the time for me this place is a hit, it’s almost a hidden trove of parts that would otherwise be gone in a flash if it were somewhere else.
