History

Established in 2010.

Colquitt County natives Eric and Vanessa Foster-​Whiddon opened Beans & Strings on January 11, 2010. A music teacher and coffee shop fanatic, Eric believed that the two business models could work perfectly together and cause a speciality shop of this nature to thrive in a small town. They opened the doors and Vanessa ran the «beans» side of the business and Eric led the «strings» side. Now a multiple-​location business, Beans & Strings is fulfilling its original vision, «Not work, not home but some beautiful place in between where strangers become friends over a great cup of coffee and the diligent make amazing discoveries as they learn.»

Business Owner

Eric Foster-​Whiddon moved back to Moultrie after college in 2001 to serve as a youth minister. He began teaching guitar and had dreams of opening a coffee shop or music school. In 2010, he and his wife Vanessa decided to do both! Eric & Vanessa love their community and find great joy in watching relationships develop through Beans & Strings, «the coffee shop that rocks!»
