I wish I could use no stars… They have a face book page so i commented on a few shih tzu and shih tzu mix female puppy. No one responded… does that make sence… u are advertising on facebook right… So I then emailed the store… instead of giving me the prices she advised me they had both pure bred and mixes and to call the store. My son and I got in the car and was on our way something said call the store. I called and was advised they had no females. i went off… «I said i am on rt 206 now on my way“i was told by someone who is in charge of your page that these were available. apparently she isnt even at thr store. I advised her i was putting them on blast everywhere i can.

This place is ridiculous. I couldn’t even take a picture of the dog I was interested in. They wouldn’t even let me hold them. I am 20 about to turn 21 in a few days and they still wouldn’t let me hold one. I will never go back there again. It was a disgrace. Also I think these are all puppy mill dogs the place stunk and the dogs were laying in their own feces. I am so disgusted with this place

Stop buying dogs from this place! They are horrible!

I got my beloved little Lhasa-​Poo here! He’s 7 months and going strong! I didn’t have any health issues like other dogs, but my vet said kennel cough is really popular in places like these. I got lucky however. And they’d pay for the vet bills if he did have kennel cough. They were super nice and gave me good tips on my first pup. He was expensive but I’d pay triple that, my dog is my child now!

Not only are their puppies expensive but i brought my little yorkiepoo home only to find that it had gi parasites and kennel cough which wasnt apparent when i bought it. Even though they paid for the treatments like they said they would my other dog is now sick bc of it and i now have vet bills for that dog bc they dont take care of thier dogs right. If my vet could pick up that this puppy had these problems why didnt theirs before it went home and infected other family dogs. In the end even tho i would never give this puppy back bc it is a part of our family now, i got screwed bc my healthy vaccinated dog is now costn a fortune to get back to normal health. Think twice before getn a puppy there

This is a puppy barn. The staff is very friendly and the area is kept very very clean. The puppy pens are pretty spacious. The prices are rather high but not higher than other barns in my experience. I have not purchased from here but judging from the reviews of those who have I most likely never will.

We bought 2 cavachons about 6 years ago and couldn’t be happier! The staff back then was so friendly as they are today on our visit! You can’t put your hands In the pens but if you want to see one they will take it out for you in a special area.

Please people — understand that these dogs are coming from puppy mills. They get them from people that are breeding the same dog over and over with no regard for their health.
Then they take the puppies away from their sickly mother early to turn a quicker profit. Every time someone buys from The Puppy Barn, we support these backyard breeders that are abusive to their dogs. The Puppy Barn is aware of this and they don’t care. It’s all about the money. Read the heartbreaking stories. PLEASE don’t buy from them !! It’s such a heartbreak to have a sick dog that you love. There is an organization called Fur Babies that have smaller dogs needing homes. Puppy Barn– Shame on you. Don’t know how you sleep at night.

I bought a Shihtzu at The Puppy Barn because they boasted that they received their dogs from reputable in home breeders. And their A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau web site seemed to collaborate their story.
Ideally I would have liked to adopt a shelter pup, but finding a puppy that is also a hypoallergenic breed is next to impossible at a shelter. This seemed like the next best thing.
I took the puppy to the vet today, and they told me that he was ONLY 5 WEEKS OLD (not 9 like was on his forms. they can tell the age by their teeth. Puppies should not leave moms until 8 – 10 weeks). He also has bad diarrhea since we brought him home. Our vet says its because he should be feeding from his mother, not dog food, especially b/​c he barely has teeth.
My Vet (a former breeder) says that reputable in-​home breeders would NEVER send out a puppy before 8 weeks.
According to my vet, puppy mills (where this puppy likely came) lie about dog’s age to turn a profit faster. Very disappointed that the Puppy Barn is not the reputable business it says that it is.

I bought an AKC registered chocolate lab here, or did I? I wanted to get a dog for the wife for xmas, and we had passed by the Puppy Barn (and even «window shopped») many a time on the way down to my mother’s house. So after checking out a few over-​priced, less than impressive puppy stores in northern NJ, we decided to go here.
The Good: Employees were friendly, place is clean, and prices are reasonable. So we felt good about buying a dog here. We found a gorgeous choc lab we fell in love with and sealed the deal.
Now the Bad: He was listed as an AKC (American Kennel Club) registered dog, a big selling point for us. They claimed they didn’t have his papers yet from the breeder and would send them ASAP. After 3 phone call inquiries about the status they finally sent the «papers». You can imagine my surprise when AKC was listed no where, the «papers» were an application to register my dog with ACA (American Canine Association)…think «poor man’s AKC». I called for an explanation and they said there was a mix-​up with that litter. Yeah, I would say so. And what can one do? You by now have feel in love with the dog, so a return is out of the question. The lady I called mentioned possibly refunding $ 50 for a differential in registration fees, but the $ 50 doesn’t give me an AKC registered dog. :-/​Side note: Our dog also developed kennel cough a few days after being home. I heard this is very common, so not necessarily a knock on Puppy Barn. Also, Puppy Barn reimbursed out vet costs associated with the kennel cough, with no issues.

I have to say that this place is the greatest! They have so many different types of adorable puppies that play in these gigantic bins. Also, the puppys are really healthy since they have a personal vet that comes to the store to inspect the puppies. They also get all their dogs from farms and you can really tell the difference. I bought a lab called lucy from there and it was the best decision. I highly recomend this place and will go back for my next puppy!
