Gaetano’s Steaks & Subs

Tried their cheese steak & i liked it. I am oretty picky about cheese steaks, bread has to be fresh, shoukd be enough meat so i am not just eating bread & lettuce. The bread was very fresh, sesame seeds (which i like, not sure why the other reviewer had such a hard time with sesame seeds… maybe they got stuck in his dentures…:)
I bought the smaller sandwich, which was plenty for me (maybe the customers who complained about the size of their sandwich are fat tubs who are used to shoveling food down their throat at Golden Corral).but i digress.
All in all it was very tasty, maybe cutting this large sandwich woukd have helped me to consume the entire sandwich.
Look, eating cheese steaks is like choosing a presidential candidate… if anyone can give Bernie Sanders money for his kooky campaign, they are crazy enough to pick any cheese steak.
Save your money, spend it on a cheese steak sandwich from Gaetano’s & let Bernie fade away in the sunset or move to Russia where he may get more votes.

This place used to be the place for steak sandwiches. Not only they increased the price of their sandwiches but they also reduced the amount of meat. Also beware of the price they charge than whats on the menu. Avoid this location at all cost.

What happened to this place. They Used to have the best cheesteaks around!!! I Haven’t visited in a long time they must have changed owners or something because what a waste of money. I received mostly bread were is the meat!!! Same high price with ½ the meat. Told me 15 minutes for pickup– I arrived in 15 minutes then waited another 30 minutes for my food. 1 guy behind counter not enough help– what a shame I’d rather eat a cheesteak from Wawa!!! Very dissatisfied.

So just got pizza from here. I understand it’s mainly a cheesesteak spot but seriously this is fucked up and I would give it Zero stars. Looks like someone took a bite out of one of the remaining 3 slices they had for the night. Fucking terrible

Good food. Go in and support this family friendly place. Great subs, great fries. If I lived here I’d make this a regular stop.

This is local spot. right near where I live. It’s my go to for Quick bite to eat. from meatballs sandwich to pastas! Been pretty decent!
Return factor: totally! Its not 5-​star, but its local pizza joint, the pizza-​They aren’t known for, rather go somewhere else for. But hot sandwiches & pastas are decent enough.!!

My hubby grew up the New Jersey/​Philly area and told me this was the best place to get a Philly cheese Steak. We went in and nobody was at the location-​I mean completely empty. I placed an order for the Philly Cheese Steak hoagie. The sizes are mini, small, medium, and large I think. I got a small – the second to smallest size and it was no where near SMALL it was Huge! So big I was able to share between my hubby, daughter and me. The steak in the sandwich tasted ok – it wasn’t anything to brag about. For the size and price I would go back if I was in the area. I threw loads of ranch on my sandwich and it helped the taste.

Really disappointing lately. Food is alright, but not as good as what you pay for. I’d rather go somewhere else.

I live just down the street from Gaetanos and have tried both their cheesesteaks & pizza. Neither have impressed me. The food isn’t bad, but it’s definitely nothing to rave about; mediocre at best. Staff has always been very pleasant, but I’d much rather get my pizza from either That Italian Place or Francesca’s Pizza, both of which are around the corner (different corners).

Horrible! Italian hoagie meats taste so old and processed. Steak sandwiches are okay but nowhere near the quality or size as the voorhees location on burnt mill rd. Would love to make this a neighborhood fav since I live nearby but can’t.

Being a Philly born and have attended Drexel… Gaetano’s steaks gets only a 2 star… Even Food trucks at Drexel taste better than here… not to mention. cheaper! The food took forever to be made and they have sesame seeds on their bread… not my favorite… should had warn customers either with a sign or on the menu.
Been here twice only because of coworkers… never would I come here alone or with friends… I might even pass if coworkers would suggest this place again.

Family of 5, we had Italian hoagie a slice a burger and a grilled cheese. Everything was as expected. Price was reasonable. Staff was friendly.

Restaurant was clean and the food was a pretty good value. My wife’s chicken parm wrap was good but needed a bit more sauce. My chicken pizza sub was also tasty but like my wife’s needed a bit more sauce. Lots of choices on the menu and all fairly priced.

Holy better than a Philly Steak batman…
