History

Established in 2007.

Martial Arts and Leadership Academy is a Première Martial Arts and Leadership Academy in Burlington County! Owned and operated by Chief Master Scott Barnabie, Arts and Leadership Academy, A.L.A., has over 31 years of experience in the Martial Arts and offers two great locations in Lumberton and Mount Laurel.

Over the years A.L.A. has been voted the Best Karate School of South Jersey by the Courier Post Public Readers Pole, but more recently, in 2012 A.L.A. was voted the Very Best Karate School in Burlington County by the Burlington County Times!

The name, «Arts and Leadership Academy», was established in 2010, when Chief Master Scott Barnabie and his Team decided that Leadership through Martial Arts only, was simply not enough. Leadership through any of the Arts had become the new Dream! Taking Barnabie out of the name was a tough decision, but the new idea is for all of our Black Belt instructors to be recognized for their amazing talent, success, and Leadership Skills!
