Hopefully, my review will help other people like me before they sign up to pay around hundred bucks for joining fee and an expensive monthly membership. My honest opinion it’s not worth spending that much. First of all you feel like you’re not welcome there for some reason or in other words the staff is plainly rude. Especially the ones in the child watch room. I couldn’t trust my children to stay there while I was working out. I gave them a chance to wait and see if my child will grow to like the babysitters, but no they are rude to my child but nice when I come to pick him up. So, think twice before you signing up. The only nice thing about the place is pool that is crowded mostly times with swimming lessons and people have to share lanes. I went to other gyms and they are equipped with a lot weight and cardio machines to choose from. This gym is a plane Jane in that sense, lol.

The burlington location is the worst. Some staff are rude and lack customer service support, you have to sign up for a bike… that you may not even get, the sauna room has bugs and the walls look as if mold is growing throughout the building. It needs to be renovated and under new management.

oh YMCA how you did me wrong. I booked an appointment online for a fitness test, it showed me all available time slots and the trainers that were available. I made my selection and a day or two before the actual evaluation I received an email asking me to «click here» if I was planning on keeping my appointment. I clicked there as directed and was set a confirmation email shortly there after. Fast forward to the day of the evaluation. I left work early, got there 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment just in case I needed to fill anything out. I went to the front desk, introduced myself and stated my appointment with Paul B. The girl behind the desk looked confused for a moment but then stated she would go find him and told me just to «hang for a minute». She came back a few minutes later and said he was going to be right with me and I could either get stated on a tredmill or have a seat and wait. Not knowing what the evaluation would entail, I chose to have a seat and wait. I waited and waited, waited and waited. My appointment was for 3:30 and as previously stated, I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled time. At 3:45, I got up and walked back to the desk and asked the girl if she knew when the trainer would be ready for me. She said, «Oh, yeah — that’s right, um, I was going to tell you. Someone double booked him and so he wont be able to work with you today.» Seriously? You were going to come tell me? When was that going to be? I have been sitting in a chair no more than 10 feet away from you for the last 20 minutes. Aside from the fact that if I didn’t go to her, she would not have said anything to me and I would have sat there longer waiting — how did trainer Paul B. decide which appointment to keep? I had two confirmations from the website, yet my appointment was the one discarded — I’m just curious how they made the decision on which appointmet to keep. The girl at the front desk then offered me two free personal training sessions to make up for it. Why would I want to give them another opportunity to NOT keep an appointment? I guess this is an example of you get what you pay for and when someone offers you something for free… buyer beware.

This gym is extremely overpriced and has outdated equipment. The pool looks nice but has way too much chlorine and is way too hot. Not being an asthmatic, you will feel like one just standing on the pool deck.

This gym has a pool, basketball court as well as many other amenities. However, the cardio area is quite small with only about three small fans. I visited this location on a guest pass. I only stayed 40 min due to lack of cool air. I work out for cardio and weight training equipment. This gym lacked in those two areas so it wouldnt be worth the expense of a membership for me.
