Had my favorite Latte here earlier today. Very fast and made to perfection. First time at this location. Impressed.

I had a regular coffee and oatmeal with blueberries. The coffee was good but the oatmeal did not have blueberries. I thought maybe they were included with the mix packets, but no, it was supposed to come with fresh blueberries. The atmosphere was ok but one thing I noticed was the spot lights on the menu create a glare which make it difficult to read the menu. Maybe they can adjust the angle or intensity so that it does not create a glare. I would say overall it is ok for the coffee, but double check to make sure the order is correct.

Nestled into the Northwest corner of a jagged and tight strip mall along Rand Road at the corner of Route 83, this café gets a large amount of sunlight shining into its spacious window-walled room, providing prominent points of perfect relaxation and peaceful meditation among the suburban hustle and bustle. Four comfy leather chairs bathe behind the glass in the warmth of our nearest stars radiant glow. A padded bench, across the floor from the chairs, sits shaded and backed by the Southern wall of the building, giving patrons the perfect setting for viewing their laptops without annoying glare. A long, tall counter runs down the middle of the space, each seat fitted with electrical outlets for keeping charged while you keep charged. Friendly and kind staff always work very hard to keep the joint in good shape. The ½ & ½ is full, the 2% is 100%, stirring sticks are stuck in the stick holder on a regular basis, the sugar station is packed and always being tidied, and if they make them, they fix mistakes promptly, and always stay up to date on the best of the beans for the boldest espresso and the dankest drip. They’re so helpful and/or cute. Everything you could expect from a Starbucks is implemented with precision and efficiency with love and laughter without taking anything but the coffee too seriously. New Mc Additions in the local lineup of restaurants have increased traffic immensely but have also increased access and egress points big enough for… Well, let’s just say things move along nicely, considering the increased traffic. The lack of a drive-through window at this location is of no concern what-so-ever to me. Of the local Starbucks in an 8-mile radius, this one is the absolute best and I am always pleased as pie to wait for a parking spot and brave the elements in order to wait in line because at the end of it all, I leave with what I came for… A feeling of Oneness with the Universe… and four shots, ristretto.

It’s hit or miss with this location. The staff seems more involved with conversing between themselves, which is fine but at least greet your customers ANDGETTHEIRDRINKCORRECT –I mean the cup says one drink but what’s inside is not the same… definitely happens more often than it should…& when you say something to them they want to make faces, and don’t follow through with the compensation… SUGGESTION– RELOCATE… GOTORANDHURST– MIGHTBEEASIERTOGETTO. that 83– Rand– intersection is horrible!

Cindy, Justin, and Cindy… What can I say? My favorite people there. There are two other baristas that I completely adore, but don’t know their names. I am greeted so warmly and with such genuine smiles it makes me day and warms my heart. I always get the BEST decaf mocha ever here! My drinks are always superb! I love being a regular here in the mornings! My Cindy’s, Justin, and the other two(a guy and a girl) are what keep me coming back day after day! Love you guys.

First bad experience… Talking to each other instead of taking my order. Just left standing there… Wait… There’s more. Not only did they get my drink wrong, it was only printed on the sticker, she argued with me about it. What is going on with this place… WOW

My family and I have been coming to this location for the past 9 yrs, not to mention at times we go 3 times a day! I must say it has always been a pleasant experience up until the new manager took over. The wait became ridiculous, she’s not a ppls person and her bossiness w the employees… yikes! I wonder if that’s the reason why there are so many cycles of new employees? There are a few good employees with the exception of Alex who always looks mad at the world and makes prices up! Ughhh! I’m soooo disappointed!

Nice little Starbies tucked in the strip mall on the 6-corner intersection of 83, Rand, and Kensington. The people in here were A-OK — nice and friendly. The one drawback I had here was that while waiting for my drink, the supervisor was berating the barista. She was saying things like«WHATDID I TELLYOU??? [inaudible] NEEDSTOBEAPPROVED!!!» Geez, I hate poopy bosses/managers/leads, and really, why you have to do that in front of customers? Poor employee. I felt for the employee, and thus, need to lower my rating to just 2-stars. I hope they retrain their supervisors better than that. No one deserves to be spoken to like that.

I’ll only go when the 2 Cindy’s work. Other than that, far too many times I have left this Starbucks feeling less at ease than when I entered. There is one guy who simply will not smile or acknowledge his customers. He makes my drink wrong and when I very nicely ask him to fix it the way I ordered, he just grabs the drink back, makes it again then plops it in front of me. Unbelievably horrible service. So it happened again today and it will be the last time in this store. How can you not see how horrible some of your workers are?

I want to start by saying that I am a commited Starbucks drinker for as long as I can remember. I have been to some of the busiest and craziest Starbucks downtown Chicago has to offer during prime time rush hour and they have always served me with a smile. I have also been to many Starbucks all around the world. THIS Starbucks is my least favorite! The staff is not what I have come to expect of a Starbucks barista. I have been here numerous times as it’s the closest location to home but I do it out of convenience and hate it every time. On numerous occasions I have seen the barista get orders wrong and instead of apologizing to the customer they have simply snatched the drink back continued remaking something and a few mins later placing the correct one at the counter… all without an «I’m sorry», a smile, or any sort of recognition or acknowledgment of the customer. They are rude, short with customers and make you feel like you are interrupting them for placing your order. I continue to treat them with the friendliness that I get from every other Starbucks barista around the world, hopefully my happy demeanor and customer service rubs off on them. If not… the manager needs to be better at training their people.

This is the Bucks closest to my home. I visit at all times of the day, and I have never had any problem with the service. Granted, this is not one that is a super-fast inner city location. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. Recently they have been offering the gluten-free marshmallow bar and the flourless chocolate cookie. This is a nice one for hanging out for a few hours, have done that many times. The real trick here is getting in and out if you are driving. Turning left from Rand Road going NW is tricky, as is turning left out of the drive to continue NW on Rand.(I often walk or bike here, so not my problem!). There are many food outlets nearby, and also the Costco and Home Depot. They have been here for many years, so I’m sure they get enough traffic.

Service, People dis this one, but they served me fine. I’ve been here about a dozen times, and when you have a long line, yeah, your gonna wait, so your bring your gadget or book and just chill. If someone orders a drink after you they will sometimes get it before you. Ha ha funny and annoying, it’s a Starbucks paradox at this location. Outside, They have a nice seating area where you can sometimes hear people talking a myriad of different languages outside, which is kinda neat and interesting. Overall, seating area is sufficient, and there are umbrellas outside for sun cover so you won’t be roasted like a Starbuck coffee bean. Parking, Ample parking is good but getting into the lot can be challenging off of Rand Rd since it’s a busy street and the red lights don’t change all the fast, especially those pesky little red arrow lights. Grrrrr! My status at the mo, I’m having a ball.

Just ran in for a pound of coffee and it took forever! They did not even tell me when they finished grinding it so I stood there forever just waiting. The bag was barely closed! It is not that hard to close up a bag nicely. The girl at the register who took my order appeared to be the least motivated person I have ever come across. Luckily for me, there is a Starbucks almost every mile or so around here so I will not be visiting here again.

Great service every time I go. Maybe it’s the morning crew but they are extremely friendly with all the customers. They are quick to take orders and to get drinks out. I’ve had no problems with my orders but then again I don’t ask for anything special or different than what’s on the menu.
