History

Established in 2004.

Early resorts and hotels, such as Shasta Lodge (now the Cold Creek Inn), grew up along the Siskiyou Trail (What is now Interstate 5) around Mount Shasta, catering to these early adventuresome tourists and mountaineers. Cold Creek Inn & Suites gets its name from the creek that runs off the Sacramento River and whose headwaters are located one mile north in the City Park. Cold Creek Inn & Suites is locally owned and operated, and wishes to provide its guests with a warm and restful stay while enjoying affordable accommodations during their visit. The owners, who have chosen to live in Mt. Shasta because of its clean air and pure water, want to share with you their experience of life on the Mountain.

Very cute inn and clean room. Room has a 32″ TV, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator. Also included in room coffee and variety of teas and hot chocolate packets. Table and two chairs and queen bed. Ladies in the front desk very nice and helpful. Checked in after a long drive from WA and Tasha asked if there was anything she can do to enjoy my stay. I asked for a room that had no neighbors and she did. Will definitely return! Dog friendly inn and will bring my two dogs next time around.

Clean room, average customer service. There were guests arriving and leaving late at night making a lot of noise… a couple even had a small dog that barked non stop and it was pretty annoying.

Um, this place is awesome for the price!!! It’s just all the basic necessities that you need in a room, especially because you’ll probably just come here to sleep while you explore all day outside in the beautiful area! The management here is awesome and super friendly. If you are looking for a cheap, nice place to stay for your trip to Mount Shasta, seriously book here. You won’t regret it! Great location, too!!!

Stayed for the weekend. Very reasonably priced. Got the AAA discount too. Room was nicely renovated. Not like some of the shitty pictures in the photos. Only a very small window in the bathroom face north but too tall to see the mountain.

Best hotel yet! All cotton sheets and towels. Green earth friendly products and policies. First hotel i have ever stayed at that had recycling bins. Awesome views of the Mountains. Comfortable bed. Choice of feather or firmer pillows. Great down comforter with cotton cover. Stash brand teas and organic coffee provided. Plus pet friendly. And like all of Mt Shasta the best water on earth! And all less than 85 per night. Great location too. Walk to restaurants and stores.

I highly recommend this lovely motel. Clean and comfortable. I had out of town family here for a visit. The staff is very helpful. Jennifer checked us in and went above and beyond to ensure my family had everything they needed. She suggested some fun things for us to do. She directed us to an easy trail (my brother uses a cane) to walk and have a picnic by a stream. I never even knew that trail was there. Thank you Cold Creek Inn and Jennifer. My brother said they’ll always plan on staying here. :-)

This was a great, clean hotel to spend the night in Mt. Shasta and half the price of the Best Western. Had microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Nice view of Mt. Shasta from the deck. My mom and I sat out there playing cards till after 9. Great place… thank you!

Nice place to have a rest driving I-5. Friendly office, CLEAN room with all the little things needed– fridge, micro, comfy bed… even Mini Moo’s (coffee creamer) — nice touch! Well maintained. I will return :)

This is a quaint little Inn with all of your basic amenities. The room was exceptionally clean especially for being pet friendly! It is in a great location close to town and reasonably priced. I loved the fact that they were a «Green Hotel». The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again!

Clean, comfortable, at a great price! Room was a bit small, but the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. Room has a fridge and microwave. Bathroom small but very clean as well. Staff was extremely friendly.
Very basic accommodations. Jack in front for sitting, but without views of the mountain. The hotel is right next to the train tracks, and there’s a lot of train traffic during the day. The night we stayed, the trains stopped around midnight and restarted at about 6 AM.
I would have given only four stars, however the price was only $ 80. For that price, I didn’t expect such a clean, nice place. Would definitely stay here again.

Great service. Called just as they were closing 10pm and they arranged a room by leaving a key outside. We opted to book a 3 queen room which is quite unusual. They called back after a few minutes and explained kindly how they made a mistake and would like to put is in a different room. A roll away was set up, there was a queen sofa sleeper, and queen bed all of which were very comfortable. Because of the mix up they gave us a 15% discount that we only found out about when we arrived! Awesome. Thanks Cold Creek Inn.

Very nice people here, great customer service. The rooms were clean and nice. After the first night with the train (wow a shock) I could actually sleep through it during the rest of our stay. Close to town, the park and nice to walk around the area.

Stayed here with my wife and for $ 50 less than other local motels, it was a real steal of a deal. Absolutely clean, friendly management, easy check-in/check-out, nice room with really nice personal touches. The only minor wince (not even a whine), is that in the cold weather you may need to let the hot water run 5+ minutes to get hot water, but then it’s plentiful! For the price, you can’t beat it.
I highly recommend the Cold Creek Inn for your next stay in the Mt. Shasta area… I know we will be back!
