Has the BEST tenderloin sandwich in Mount Vernon/​Lisbon! Husband is always happy with whatever burger he orders. Very nice server/​bartender. My favorite place to eat in Mount Vernon.

Walked in, ordered 5 meals to go along with a beer. A couple came in in the meantime and ordered after I did. I got my beer, and the couple that came in got their food. Another family came in and ordered food. My food wasn’t ready so I ordered another beer. Meanwhile, the second family had received their food. Still waiting, I ordered another beer and this time the bartender apologized for the wait. I asked her how much longer we had to wait and checked with the cook and he told her 10 more minutes. At this time I had been waiting near an hour. My food finally came so I paid, around $ 80 after the tip, and left to go home. When I got home, which was a 3 minute drive away, I opened our food find it luke warm to cold along with an entire meal missing. I called the pub to complain about the terrible service and missing meal and all I got was a «sorry the cook is new. Do you want me cook what was missing? » so I had to drive back to pick up what was left out of my order. Food was cold, and couldn’t even eat it all. I will never order another thing from Chameleons. I’ll go to Scorz from now on.

Great tap beer choice, among the best tenderloins and burgers anywhere. Always good service.

Good kitchen and good hours
Had a grilled chicken salad and a BLT sandwich with chips. Both were good and reasonably priced.
Suggestions: Some signage, maybe a tasteful, colorful Chameleon that hangs perpendicular to the wall so the out-​of-​towner parents can find you. Also fix your map location in Unilocal.It shows you in the middle of the block across the street

While small (legal occupancy limit is 50) the bar is generally packed after 10pm on most weekends that the college is in session. During the day locals stop in for a brew and food at the grill.
The food at the grill is really good for bar food.
Drinks average about $ 3. Currently on Wednesdays there are quarter draws between 10pm and midnight.
This is a place that occasionally you will see college students dancing on the long bar.
This year they stopped selling their shirts that read «I drank my first million ($) in college»

Chameleon’s is/​was your typical local college hangout. Small place with a long bar, tables and the obligatory golden tee.
What do I recall about Chameleon’s? Not much, as I was always obliterated in that place, between knowing the bar-​tenders (it is a town of 3000 you know) and the drinks being a whopping $ 2.50– $ 3.00 with dollar draws, who remembers anything abtou the place? Other than long saturdays drunk at noon, leaving at 2:00AM.
The food was always good, and cheap, and the lady who cooked it was awesome, coming out into the bar to deliver, banter and have some fun.
Again, its been some time, but the place I’m sure hasn’t changed, the people do — but Chameleon’s, here’s to you killing my liver!
