I’ll keep it short and sweet. They do everything right.

After passing by this diner for months my husband and I decided to have breakfast here a few days ago. Our waitress was one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met. I have a Belgium waffle with turkey sausage.. . AMAZING. I mean, you can’t really screw up such an easy order, but I’ve had waffles at other diners and they can be soggy and bland. This waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The ambiance is nicer than a usual diner close to that area! I’ll definitely be back! BONUS.:. IT’S CLEAN…:.

The meal and service were horrible. What happened? I loved coming here when it was across the street.

I’ll never subject myself to this unprofessional business again. Here’s some background on why my recent visit was terrible. The last time I was here I had a server named Jenny. She was good but unfortunately I had no money left after my bill to tip properly. She mustn’t be too intelligent because when I went back she practically ignored me and did not put my order in. She didn’t even ask my party if we wanted drinks. Not to mention she had said something to her coworker about me because they both looked me in the face while I was sitting. Next step, call management and complain.

It was really packed Saturday morning, but our waiteress was really good. I don’t know her name. Hubby ordered pancakes with bananas on top and bacon. I ordered a BLT with one fried egg in it. Idk what they put in their bacon, but you can really taste the smokiness in each bite. It’s pretty good. Their coffee is good too!

I went in to place a to go order. The woman behind the register acted like I wasn’t there and took two people ahead of me. Only when I went and complained did she come over and take my order. I asked for my order with only white meat and told her I would pay for the dark meat just give it to another customer when they ordered and she began to act as though what I was asking for was impossible and made a scene. Even after I said nevermind she continued. To make matters worse she then said to someone that I got smart with her and all she was trying to do was help. When I said to the hostess no one got smart with her the cashier walked by and said if you have something to say to me the say it to me and stormed off to the kitchen. I can only assume to tell the chefs to do something to my food. Needless to say I cancelled my order and left. I will never patronize their establishment again.

I got in and was quickly pointed to a dirty table. My waitress gave me a menu then came back and swiped half the table with a rag. Less than 3 minutes later, with my nose in the menu, she asks if I was ready to order.(Really?) Not starting off great but I’m trying because I think this is a new place. The bus boy sets down my water and notices my dirty table top and properly wipes it down, apologizing. I order a spinach and feta omelette with wheat toast and crispy potatoes, please. The drinks that come with the meal, juice and tea/coffee, come out quickly. The juice is in the smallest glass I’ve every seen used in a restaurant. The tea is good, the juice is from some unrecognizable citrus so I’m thankful that it’s in a small glass. The toast comes out barely warm and half burnt. I scrape the burnt parts off and coat it with butter and strawberry jam.(The Smucker’s jam is good, the off-brand is not!) The omelette ingredients are mixed into the eggs then folded up, which is okay — though not technically correct — but the eggs seemed chemically? or fake? or powdered? either way kinda weird. The spinach within was chopped up and likely previously frozen, and definitely flavorless. The feta cheese, when I found it, was good. Potatoes looked promising, a thick slab of chunks, crusty and brown on top, but proved to be only warm and chewy in a been-warmed-up kind of way. I left most of it. Such disappointment. I doused things with salt and pepper to get some flavor going but alas, all for nothing. The waitress never noticed. She seemed to be looking above my head and never actually at me. Parking was ok, with a sign pointing you to use the front entrance despite the treacherous icy parking lot. It was surprisingly busy, for a place with sub-par food.

Went with a group of family members during a busy Saturday afternoon. Waitress joined two tables together quickly and we were seated promptly. Service was polite and they were well staffed. Our group had 7 people and the waitress took all of our orders and returned shortly with beverages and the food followed within a reasonable amount of time considering all the tables were occupied. I ordered a Chicken Fajita with Salad. Food was good, however nothing amazing. Don’t get me wrong, it was OK, but there was no seasoning on the chicken what so ever. Wouldn’t hurt to throw a dash of Adobo or fajita seasoning… on a fajita, no? My mother-in-law did comment that her Roast-beef sandwich was delicious. Perhaps I am being nostalgic as I used to go to the old Columbus Diner across the street from when I was a kid through adulthood. The place had character from it’s lunch counter to the photos on the wall. The new Columbus Diner lacks some of that weathered charm and suffers from the same cookie-cutter architecture and bland motel décor that is just not memorable. On top of that, the food was not memorable. I usually will give a place two tries before writing them off, so I will likely go again and try something different to see if another dish fares better than the one I had.

the absolute worst service. I(party of 3) seated and it took 25 mins for someone to ask us what we wanted to drink. meanwhile all the tables around us were seated, and served drinks and meals in a timely manner. then it was another 40 mins before we got our meals. overall piss poor service and management. I will never go here again.

She enjoyed it each time we’ve gone from the roast beef openface sandwich to a flame broil cheeseburger.
