History

Established in 1921.

Our grandfather, Warren J Gilbert began his practice in 1921 and represented clients on a wide variety of legal matters up to his death in 1971. Our father, Warren J Gilbert, Jr joined his father in 1953 and worked as a trial lawyer until his retirement in 2007 at the age of 80. Warren M Gilbert also practiced civil litigation in the office for over 20 years until his election to the Skagit District Court bench in 2006. He remains a District Court Judge in Skagit County. Peter Gilbert and Jayne Gilbert are currently practicing law in the same location over 90 years after the Law Office opened.

Business Owner

Peter Gilbert joined his family’s law practice in 2001 at the age of 34 after several years as a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney. His practice focuses on litigating injury cases, criminal defense and custody disputes. He also serves as General Counsel to the Skagit Public Utility District, advising the elected commissioners as well as the General Manager.
