Hardee’s of Mt Vernon

This is one of the filthiest fast food places I’ve been in. Odd since they had staff «cleaning» the whole time I was there. Otherwise the service was pretty fast and the staff was friendly and smiling. Food came out luke warm which is not good for breakfast foods like eggs and hash browns. Kind of surprised since the place was empty and figured they wouldn’t have much cued up, but it is fast food. I used to go to Hardee’s in North Carolina all the time, they were all over the place there, and they were all really good. Not sure if they are just trying to do too much with the Red Burrito and fried chicken and everything. Seems like when they just did burgers and breakfast it was better. All in all pretty average for fast food and maybe my expectation was a bit too high based on my previous experiences years ago.

I LOVE Hardee’s. You won’t catch me saying that about many if any other fast food places, but their thick burger with lots of toppings and seasoned curly fries really hit the spot for me. Their iced tea is pretty good too and they always have sliced lemon wedges out for it. I’m always thoroughly impressed by their breakfast too. This location is probably the best in Ohio. Unfortunately most are pretty run down and have roof leaks and just a down feeling. This location recently did some work in the bathroom which is encouraging, and they also started selling burritos and other delights from south of the boarder too! The staff is always pleasant. The order is always correct. And they usually make the fries when I order them. I look forward to coming here whenever I’m in town!
