Artistry, integrity and generosity. Tony has a deep appreciation for stone and knows how to bring the best out in it. Tony and his staff were patient and careful with our complex project. A few months into living in our new home, some mysterious but unsightly gouges appeared in the bathroom vanity. No one could figure out why the damage occurred. The staff tried a repair, but none of us were happy with the outcome. Without hesitation or our asking, Tony offered the labor to put in a new slab, which Carmel Stone generously supplied. As they took out the original stone, the sink suffered a crack. Karen immediately arranged to pick up a replacement so our job could be completed on the same day. Tony refused to let us pay for the replacement sink even though he was already covering the labor on the reinstallation.
It is rare to experience a craftsman with the level of integrity, care, appreciation for his materials and thoughtfulness that Tony and his staff at A Touch of Stone exhibit daily. They are a truly outstanding and deserve more than 5 stars!

They no showed 3 times in a row now to come measure and quote our countertops in laundry room. Very frustrating to set aside time to meet them 3 times now and they haven’t shown up despite their receptionist making the appointments. We are looking for another company as A Touch of Stone is unreliable.

Talk with Tony for just 5 minutes and you’ll see why he is so successful and continues to produce beautiful products which he treats as works of art. And I get the sense that he makes every customer feel like his most important. When it came time to have our template made, the technician was very detailed and explained every step and potential problem areas thoroughly. Then when we went to meet with Tony to place the template on the slabs, he knew almost immediately how to bring out the best display of the granite details. We moved the templates around a few times, but ended up right back where Tony first suggested. The installers arrived on time and did a great job. We couldn’t be more pleased with our new counter top. It’s the highlight of our new kitchen!

I cannot write enough wonderful things about this fantastic company. My experience with everyone working here was excellent. Professional, courteous, fair, friendly and mostly, they did a superb job in my kitchen!
New to the west coast, and new home homeowners, we had to start from scratch with finding contractors to update our home. We started with the kitchen, and I was referred to several granite fabricators by Bedrosians, where we were choosing our granite.
I called A Touch of Stone, and spoke with Mary, who was extremely professional, warm and explained the whole process of choosing the stone, template and layout process. She even emailed me a summary sheet of the entire process.
I had a quote within two days. I did my due diligence and got about 5 other quotes. Every other contractor I communicated with was no where nearly as professional and they were either at the same coast or higher than A Touch of Stone.
It was clear that going with Touch was the best choice. There was some hold up with my granite selection at Bedrosians, and because the owner of A Touch of Stone (Tony) has such a great reputation, he pulled some strings and helped speed up the time frame in which my granite was delivered. (this was huge for me as our kitchen was already demoed and we had plywood for countertops. Very difficult– esp with 2 young kids)
I met Tony and Mary in person when I went to the shop for the layout process. (basically, laying out the template of the counters and backsplash on the slabs so you can choose exactly where you want particular veins and markings within your kitchen or bath) the first thing Tony suggested was to change my edging choice. He suggested a more upscale look (which I thought I couldn’t afford) and told me it would cost the same as my original choice. I was thrilled. Tony took ample time with me to layout the counters and made sure I understood exactly what he was doing through the entire process.
I also worked with two of his crew, Miguel and Adrian– great professionals who clearly take such pride in their work. They even left me a few extra pieces of granite which I can use for a hot plate or similar.
I will definitely call A Touch of Stone when we do our bathrooms over. This company went above and beyond, and my kitchen looks fantastic!!!

If I could give Tony a 6 star rating, I would have. Tony did a lot more than we had agreed on just to make me happy just because I just commented to him that his workers did not leave the site perfectly clean although I spent just 2 minutes cleaning up some dust. His workers did a great job installing our granite without any problems with installation. He installed full backspalsh instread of a 6″ backsplash and still he charged me less than other contractors. His office assistance is a pleasure to talk to specially Mary that I would call her Auny Mary. I highly recommend touch of Stone. They have the skills to do it right and they have the integrity and generosity to keep you happy. Thank you for installing our beautiful granite.

Waldron Construction here, Hey last year I have had the pleasure of working with Tony, we had 21 Apartment units to remodel this year all the Granite in the bathrooms and kitchens were done by Touch of Stone. Tony was always there for us was courteous with our clients, did all work off site and installed all of our granite, cleaned up and polished ! Tony is a great guy and will go out of his way to make sure your job is done correctly and with in a timely fashion. Prices are Great too…

Tony is the owner of A Touch of Stone. He was

At first, I thought all fabricators were in San Jose,
so when I saw their location in Mountain View,
I was very glad, because it is so close to my house.
He met us in stone company to select granite.
He and the worker make sure the measurements
were accurate. The kitchen ounters, islands, and fire
place all came out so beautifully. My neighbors and
friends were very impressed.
Tony is a very kind and friendl person. He always
tried to be helpful, sometimes without being asked
he would bring sample, pieces of granite to our
house.Their workers were also well trained,
they cleaned up place after the job. Their finishing

Through my contractor selection process, I walked previously installed projects A Touch of Stone was hired to do and was so impressed with the level of quality, I had to have Tony look at my very complicated project.
I am VERY happy with the VERY complicated job that was masterfully executed Tony was tasked to do for my client.
It required a very high level of knowledge and expertise and he did not disappoint. The project will be featured in one of our local designer magazines as it deserves to be.

Our new counter-​tops from A Touch of Stone look great. They did a very nice custom edge around an apron front sink (see pics). There were some issues with punctuality but these were quickly forgotten by the quality of work and willingness to serve us as customers. Would call again and recommend to friends. Thanks Tony!

A Touch of Stone, was quietly recommended to us by a granite slab company, and I took that to be a good referral. The project was a kitchen island that I hand crafted myself, along with surrounding counters. The island was tricky because it is two levels, and naturally I wanted the best installation possible. We got three quotations, and each installer described to us how he would do the work. By far, the way that Tony described he would do the job was the most beautiful and the most technically difficult.
For example, we wanted a pencil miter edge. Tony explained that he would cut the edge of the stone at a 45 degree angle and fold it over before grinding the edge with the pencil profile. The point of this approach is that the seam in the stone is hidden up at the top edge, and that the lines and texture of the stone continue from the surface down the edge making the countertop look like it was cut from a 2″ thick slab. If you look at «normal» bullnose counter tops, you see that they have an obvious horizontal seam right through the middle of the edge. Of the other two granite installers who gave us quotes, one had never done this kind of edge, and the other said he had done it 2 times in his history. We would have never have even known this quality was possible without Tony teaching us.
Tony also demonstrated his quality of work when it came time to put the templates of our counters onto the slabs we bought, and decide how to cut up the slabs. Each of our slabs had interesting grain, lines and patterns in them, and how you cut them determines where that grain and texture shows up on the counter. Tony was passionate about the beautiful sections of our slabs, and worked with us to make sure that the parts of the rock we found most beautiful ended up in the areas of our counters where they would be most dramatic and visible. He was artistic and insightful.
I learned that when you join two pieces of granite in a counter, that the resulting seam can be substantially hidden if the two pieces of granite are carefully selected to have similar patterns and colors on their edges. I watched Tony and his cutter debating and moving templates around on slabs to get the best possible final effect for our counter.
The execution and delivery was flawless so Tony gets 5 stars. Oh, and his price was good too. But what I am happiest about A Touch of Stone is what I didn’t even know existed… that beautiful granite installation requires artistry, artistic judgment, and that there is a «hard way» to do the job that looks much better. I now notice granite countertops in a way I never have before, and I haven’t yet seen an installation better than ours.

I had Tony’s Team do my kitchen in Granite, I Gave him a call, picked my slab and in less than two weeks everything was complete and perfect. He did alot of upgrades for free. He wanted to do a more intricate bull-​nose to be more period to my 1906 home. It looks awsome! Will give you a call when its time to do the bathroom in Marble!
