Chris Banther, Broker/​Owner of Banther & Associates, was the first REALTOR awarded the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR’s) Green Designation in Mountain View. This is the only green real estate professional distinction recognized by NAR.

Chris was trained in understanding what makes a property green, helping clients evaluate the cost/​benefits of green building features and practices, distinguishing between industry rating and classification systems, listing and marketing green homes and buildings and helping consumers see a property’s green potential.

Chris is a Bay Area native living in Mountain View. He was a University of California at Berkeley graduate where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics. Chris later went on to receive his Master of Science in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota. He began his career leading classified satellite design teams and has now decided to follow his entrepreneurial heart and tenacity for investment by opening his first Real Estate Brokerage.

Chris offers an extensive leadership background in program management, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, organizational management and customer relations. He has exceptional technical and online marketing abilities and is an assertive, unmatched communicator.

In an age of instant information and streamlined efficiency, the process of buying a home hasn’t exactly caught up. Obtaining a home loan and going through endless phone calls and paperwork is literally the worst buying experience for someone who is accustomed to getting stuff off Amazon with a few clicks.
Much of this pain is eased by having a good agent. I was referred to Chris Banther by a friend of mine, and he guided me through my first home purchase with a ton of patience and competence. I never felt pressured to commit to anything, as he understands the different considerations involved with buying in the Bay Area. For me I really needed someone to lean on to get through the mind-​numbing paperwork filled with incomprehensible terminology, and Chris happily stepped up to the plate.
Some day buying a house will be as easy as adding it to your cart and clicking «checkout», but if you can’t wait for that day you can get in touch with Chris.

If you are house hunting or selling, Chris Banther is the real estate agent to contact — if you want excellent customer service, a wealth of real estate knowledge, someone who is honest and has integrity. (I have worked with two other real estate agents in the past. I can’t change the past but I wish I knew about Banther And Associates before I purchased my other homes!!)

Chris is fantastic! He’s smart, dedicated and really knows all the people, paperwork and process to get the job done.
My home buying experience had a lot of ups and downs. Throughout the whole thing Chris was fun, patient, knowledgeable and working for my best interests.
I spent 7 months looking for just the right house. Chris always found me wonderful properties, some which were only on the market for a few hours. He also patiently accompanied me to lots of tragic «fixer-​uppers» I picked out on my own.
Chris handled all the paperwork, even if we needed to get something in at midnight or submit an offer in 30 minutes. Chris expertly managed all the communications with sellers, banks, agents… It was a circus of activity and Chris never dropped the ball. In fact when my first lender came up short at the 11th hour, he was able to find me a new one and get the whole process started over in just a few hours. Without his expertise, guidance and encouragement I wouldn’t be living in my dream home today.
