History
Established in 2009.
Cassand Ballet attracts students from all over Silicon Valley, offering beginning through advanced classes for adults and children.
Cassand’s French classical ballet training creates the foundation for his ballet studio. This year is the 300th anniversary of the Paris Opera Ballet School, where Cassand’s mother studied.
[…] Cassand studied ballet in Dijon and with the Paris Conservatory until he was 17. He became a professional ballet dancer after being invited to dance with Roland Petit, the famous choreographer, with the National Ballet of Marseille.
«I had a long career in France as a soloist, and I traveled the world,» Cassand said. «It was wonderful to be with Roland Petit because… he was the best choreographer in France, once the artistic director of Paris Opera [and] a living legend.»
Cassand also spent time with the great American ballet dancer Arthur Mitchell at New York City Ballet and then left for a soloist contract with SF Ballet.
