Davis and Co. Realtors was founded in 1990, providing specialized professional management services for homes. condos, multi-​family residential, industrial, and commercial properties. In 1996, we began offering residential sales services representing both buyers and sellers.

Harold Davis, President, holds a certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Southern California, an MBA from the College of Notre Dame, and is a California licensed real estate broker. Mr. Davis has had his own real estate consulting firm working with corporate clients such as Mother Cake and Cookie Co. He is also currently President of the Mountain View Housing Council and an active member of the Silicon Board of Realtors.

When we move from here, the next place we would rent or buy, would be from Harold Davis.
We are not first-​time renters or home owners, with unreasonable expectations. Instead, over three decades, I have owned homes, apartment buildings and offices, and have dealt with many property managers. Harold’s responsiveness to maintenance issues, the quality of his staff [particularly Josh], and overall ethics and reasonableness are excellent.
Even though we own several homes [rented out], we choose to rent this home which is very close to work for us, and we’ve been with Davis Properties since 2007. Part of the reason we’ve renewed for this long [making the property owner very happy] is that Davis is as good as it gets. A good friend of ours [E. Chang], also rented from Davis Properties and feels the same way.

If you are thinking of renting through these guys, I suggest you run in the other direction. I had a horrible experience with them. They made me pay for maintenance repairs that I’ve never had to pay for in any other rental. They will nickle and dime you for everything. Move-​out was a joke. They will find bs reasons to withhold your security deposit. I suggest you consult an attorney if/​when they do that to you. Dont be fooled by the positive ratings here that are all from people who were not tenants with these shysters. There is only one other rating from a tenant and it is the same as mine. Save your sanity (and wallet) and rent from someone else.

Harold helped us purchase a home in Palo Alto. The peninsula area is very competitive and Harold’s in depth knowledge of the market was extremely helpful as we searched for the perfect place.
From identifying a home to signing the papers, Harold provided excellent service. He also provided us with his list of outstanding vendors as we needed to do some remodeling in our new place.

Harold and the team at Davis & Company Realtors just helped us sell our townhouse and then purchase a single family home in Menlo Park.
For selling, Harold was an expert in advising us what we should do to our house to get the highest offers possible. He has a great network of home stagers, real estate photographers and general contractors. We were able to get multiple offers, including offers over asking price.
For purchasing, Harold helped us buy a beautiful home in the current low supply /​high demand housing market. He connected us with an amazing mortgage broker who was willing to get us pre-​approval letters within 30 minutes on weekends. Harold then brought in his trusted vendors for the various projects we needed to complete prior to moving in. These vendors were honest and gave very competitive prices.
Overall, Harold is professional, organized and very knowledgeable about the Peninsula Real Estate Market. I would recommend him to all my friends & family.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING WITH DAVIS AND COMPANY IN MOUNTAIN VIEW CALIFORNIA ! …I have rented in many different states with different companies and landlords. This one was by far the worst and most unprofessional one.
First of all, Harold (the property manager) is ready to blame you for everything breaks or falls apart in the unit. He never answers his phone and won’t see you without an appointment. You leave a voice mail and hope that he gets it. This is how you communicate with him even if it is an emergency. Rents they charge for their properties may seem to be lower than the market average, but you get what you pay for. Our unit was old, poorly maintained and had no insulation. We had to use space heater in the middle of summer and as soon as we turned it off, the room would be cold again in minutes.
Finally, when we moved out, we cleaned the whole unit and left it in the same condition as when we moved in. They still kept almost all of our security deposit with illegitimate charges.
