Dr. Latha received her dental education at the University of Texas Health Science Center and graduated as a dean’s list student with honors. There she was involved in oral cancer research.

Dr. Latha has a true passion for dentistry and remains up to date by attending many continuing education courses. She keeps her office far above the standard of care. Being a «high-tech“office, she uses today’s technology to serve her patients better.

Patients appreciate her attentiveness to their needs. She is «so gentle and thorough» is what they say. Her friendly personable personality comforts patients and she takes special pride in taking care of patients dental fears. Every experience is an awesome one in her office!

Dr Latha is also serves in different chair positions in various commitees in the Santa Clara dental societies.

Dr. Latha enjoys her family time with her husband, daughter and son. She enjoys painting, cooking and music, but most of all «just being mommy.»

Dr Latha is amazing! She always makes time for me and the needs of my family. I have been going to her for a decade. She was great with my twins when they first went in at 9 months and now they’re 10 years old and they ask if they can go to the dentist because they miss her!

A very pleasant experience from the time you first call to make an appointment! The receptionist, Amy, is friendly and knowledgable. I was met with a big smile when I walked into the office for the first time and was given a tour of the office. The rest of the staff is wonderful as well. Roxy, the hygienist, is very nice and is highly skilled at her job! This brings me to Dr. Latha herself. She has a calming personality that just made me fell very at ease. After the initial exam and cleaning, she explained to me what I need to have done and exactly what that will entail. I feel very comfortable knowing that my dental health is in the capable hands of Dr. Latha and her staff.

I went back to see Dr. Latha to get my dental health back on track. It has been close to a year since I’ve been to see her and today’s experience was just as pleasant as last time. Amy did a great job walking me though my new insurance as well as following up with scheduling all my future appointments since I’m normally the «Let me check my schedule» type of girl… Dr. Latha filled a tooth that has been broken for some time & for the first time in forever I can chew on my left side again! I mean, I was able to eat sushi without picking rice out of my tooth!
She was very thorough explaining to me what was needed while working with my concerns, ultimately leaving the decision up to me.

I was concerned due to some pain I was feeling and they got me in the same day to make sure my filling was ok. Which it is! I have NEVER had a dental office squeeze me in last minute like this, Dr. Latha & her staff really care!

I took my 4.5 year old son here today. First off, I have to say that Amy the receptionist/​assistant is very nice. The dentist, Latha comes across OVERLY friendly and it is so fake. She is proof there is no connection with education or credentials as far as customer service and ‘bedside manner’ is concerned. I would not trust her to do any work on my son.
I brought my son to her for a cleaning and to get a cavity taken care of, which was clearly explained before the appointment. The receptionist even reiterated once my son was in the chair that she, the dentist, would clean his teeth. He has a cavity between his front teeth which causes him no pain, no discomfort, nothing. Instead of trying to solve the problem, she just berated me in from of my son. «Why didn’t you bring him in sooner?» «Do you know what dental pain is like?» «Have you ever had tooth pain?» Seriously? I had to explain to her that regardless of me being a horrible parent, we are here to address his teeth. «We’ll have to take x-​rays.» Right, that’s why were are here… I asked if she was going to clean his teeth. She said that she thought we were just there for a 2nd opinion. Then she walked out of the room. What a disconnect.
The dentist is basically a smart-​ass and knows absolutely nothing about good business practices one of which is being empathetic with her clients and patients as well as being respectful to her customers.
We ended up leaving and not doing anything as it was such a negative experience with her. I paid $ 75 for a brilliant opinion and consultation! What waste of time! I would not trust her nor would I recommend her to anyone.

I used to have a paranoid fear of the dentist chair and used every excuse possible to avoid it. My visit to Dr. Latha’s office changed that. Watching her and her team work is like watching a well-​orchestrated symphony. Especially one that is playing just for you.
I would characterize her practice as one with the perfect balance of professionalism, friendly banter, clear communication, precise recommendations and easy rapport. My kids agree too, even if in slightly different words.

Had to tell how awesome these lady’s are again. Lisa and Roya may be new to the office but I feel like they have been there forever. Roya gave me one of my best cleanings. Dr Latha was able to fit me in for a small filling right after my cleaning so I didn’t need to come back for a second visit. They were able to do it with no numbing or drilling — they use water and laser. It was so great. Dr Latha and Lisa worked so seamlessly I felt like I was in and out. Can’t wait for my next cleaning.

I started gong to Dr Latha some years back after not going to the dentist for a few years.. I had some extensive dental work that needed to be done and Dr Latha is wonderful! I mean wonderful. She is very caring, funny and really makes you feels relaxed. She has done all my dental work now for years and I’m always referring people to her. Recently my dental phonic son was having some pain due to wisdom teeth and she was very good about calming him down and working with such an anxious patient. He really likes her, and he’s a tough critic. Dr Latha, love you and your staff!

I have never given a one star review, but I have to for this dentist. I want to make sure people are aware of what they are getting into if they want to bring their children here.
I was trying to find a kid friendly dentist in Mountain View and decided to bring my kids here after reading all the good reviews on Unilocal.Although Dr. Latha’s staff is very nice to children, Dr. Latha herself is not. She does not say appropriate things to children and is very condescending to adults. It is clear that she does not really like to work with kids and that she quite full of herself. I am having trouble understanding why she has so many good reviews.

Stay away from this place.
When you visit they speak really sweet, and you wont find anything wrong until you start treatment. I had following bad experiences.
1. My daughter had tooth filling done here, and it came off by the time we reach home. We needed multiple visits to get it fixed. After her first bad experience with dentist she is really scared of any dental treatment.
2. My wife same experience for her dental treatment for filling and crown. And needed multiple visit to get it fixed.
3. When I changed dentist after she started suggesting all super expensive treatments, I realized those were not necessary, at least new dentist says so.
4. I am not going here for almost last one year, still I keep getting bills dated as recent as last 3 months. So I send email to check whats happening, but no one replies and I keep getting new bills.

There are dentists who have a knack for finding teeth that need work. There are dentists who can’t wait to get you out to maximize their returns. And then there are dentists (much fewer) who genuinely care about your well being. Dr. Latha and Maria belong to the third category.
I had gone to them a couple of years ago when I had a serious problem with my gums. The two of them not only went about taking care of my dental issues but they made me realize what my role was in keeping my teeth and gums healthy. Their biggest accomplishment (even beyond bringing my teeth back to health) is getting me to floss daily!

Dentistry is real art. You really need a dentist that cares for you as much as you would for your loved one. Latha is exactly that and beyond. She is very thorough and maintains a clear line of communication explaining everything in detail.
Her office is quiet advanced and well equipped. She is extremely knowledgable.
Clearly she is in this profession coz she cares about people. I found out that she also has a great heart !! She does a lot of charity work.
Her staff is super friendly. All of them have been working for Latha for lots of years which is a very good sign for me.
I am extremely happy with her.
I highly recommend her to everyone. No matter how old you are Latha is the person you want to see as your dentist.

Outstanding dental care. As much as I dislike the sound of the dental drill, Dr. Latha is able to make it a pleasant, comfortable experience. I have been coming here for over 5 years and have never left without a great experience. The friendly staff goes out of there way to make sure you are well taken care of. Dr. Latha encourages preventative dental care and helps you take care of your teeth so that you won’t need any procedures. Definitely won’t be changing my dentist, can’t recommend her enough.

Let’s face it, Nobody likes going to the dentist.
Their a rare breed. Very hard to find and please us.
When my boss came and told how amazing Dr. Latha is, and well he was taken care of, I was seriously blown away and curious about this place.
Just speaking on the phone with her assistant, I already felt like a regular patient.
The office itself is up to date, with the latest equipment and technology which is a huge plus for me. Since I don’t have great dental insurance, these people are definitely affordable especially for the area it’s in.
I would highly recommend Dr. Latha to anyone! :)

Being new to the area I did not have inside scoop as to where to go for my healthcare needs. I 1st found an amazing chiropractor (Vanderhoof Chiropractic) but when my tooth started to hurt I asked his office who they would suggest.
The doctor and the staff took such great care of me when I went in for my checkup. Going to the dentist usually isn’t fun, but they make you feel as comfortable as you could be at the dentist. The doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough with my checkup. Explaining every step of the way, what was going to happen and what she was doing. The equipment in the office is high tech and they seem to be very up to date on procedures. I would definitely recommend going to them for all your dentist needs.
I am so lucky to have both of these highly competent and caring professionals taking care of me

I was a little worried about going back to the dentist after a 7 year hiatus. my previous experiences with dentists left (excuse the pun) a bad taste in my mouth. I was worried it was going to be a painful and expensive experience. turns out my worries were completely over exaggerated. I walked to the front desk not knowing if i had the right insurance card, not having any of my information ready, and they patiently helped me find the right information so that i could get the proper coverage.
The staff was polite and patient as I listed off a laundry list of problems i had been having. Within minutes they were underway helping me resolve the issues i was having with my teeth. the knowledgeable staff gave me pointers on how to prevent some of the issues I was having and even gave me some numbing cream to help with my sensitive gums!
It was a great experience, they have a new loyal customer in me!

Aww I love Dr. Latha S. and her team. Maria, Amy and Rexi are all amazing. Dr. Latha S. has a very welcoming and SUPER friendly office. If you want super friendly service definitely come here. Everyones so happy, you’ll definitely catch the happy bug when you leave. I actually decided to come to Dr. Latha’s office after my bad experience at another dentist. I was actually a little hesitant because Dr. Latha S. didn’t have too many reviews, only 6. But all you Unilocalers needing to visit a dentist don’t wait any longer! Definitely visit Dr. Latha’s office. She will definitely work with you and make you feel comfortable. I just recently referred my BF to Dr. Latha’s office and he has nothing but good things to say as well.

I’ve been doing to Dr. Latha’s for a little less than a year now and just had my first real procedure done today. I’ve been meaning to write a review earlier but never got to it. First of all being in the medical field I know how things can be behind scenes.
If you need a break-​down of all the pluses, here they are:
1. Very courteous and professional staff AND I mean VERY VERY!!!
2. Sensitive to your needs and tries to help you ASAP.
3. Very precise and thorough when explaining treatment plans and treatments.
4. Care is top of the line, meaning I didn’t feel the shots at all and the dental hygienist are on top of everything.
Overall I think this is a great practice and would/​will refer anyone who needs a dentist to go here!

I just had my first visit today and I only have good things to say about it! They were extremely thorough for a first visit, it included a cleaning and exam. I met most of the staff at one point during the visit and they were very nice… one even brought me a heat pillow for my neck during the cleaning! I could have fallen asleep if I had tried :) I’ve never experienced such an organized dental visit. They explained my treatment plan and presented a print out describing every single thing that is going to happen to my teeth. I loved that. I plan to stick w/​Dr. Latha for a very long time and would recommend her to all!

What’s up with depleting the maximum insurance amounts whether you really need a treatment or not?.
She said «oh we have this medicated cleaner that you son could use» and asking my child «we have 5 flavors which one do you like?» kind of giving an idea she is offering it for free, then the front desk says «that will be $ 20», I did have a choice to give the toothpaste back, but out of embarrassment ended up paying, I believe they knew this trick.

I have been sitting in dentist chairs since I was wee and fell victim to my sister’s pratfalls (she tripped me from her walker, resulting in a terrible accident that caused me to have surgery as well as 10 years of orthodontics). So, I’m pretty comfortable around dentists, and can tell when someone is trying to press me into something I don’t need.
Dr. Latha is always very thorough when explaining to you all your options, the costs, and the importance of each — she will tell you what you need now, what can wait, and any discounts she can offer. She is an EXCELLENT communicator and always will go into more detail about any procedures. Her work on me thus far has been great, and I have suggested her without hesitation when people ask me for a recommendation of a dentist that I like. When I recently had a daughter, she took time to explain to me what I should do for her as her teeth came in, and how she would work with her from a young age to ensure that she, like myself, is comfortable in a dentist chair.
Amy, at her front desk, is possibly the nicest woman alive, and is ALWAYS incredibly helpful — even when trying to slough through annoying insurance mazes.
The office is email-​capable, meaning that you can make, confirm, and cancel appointments without ever having to talk to someone. That’s great, for a technojunkie like myself! :D
