History

Established in 1992.

Larry Kahle started Metropolis Architecture soon after receiving a license to practice architecture in California. Over the years, Metropolis has designed over 100 beautiful custom residential projects on and around the San Francisco peninsula, including small projects and complex large homes. Metropolis is part of the process from the beginning to end with a focus on turning clients ideas into elegant, functional spaces, getting projects through the various city departments & design approval and as an agent of the owner throughout the construction process.

Metropolis Architecture recently completed the plans for a 2-​story addition for our San Carlos home. Larry Kahle, the lead architect/​owner, was great to work with. He knows how to listen and how to push back. His designs are stellar, and we’re very pleased with both the process and the outcome. We interviewed a lot of Larry’s clients before making our decision, and all of them had wonderful things to say about Larry.
