Our Accelerated Rehabilitation Program is designed to provide the highest level of rehabilitation and skilled nursing care to our patients in order to transition, as quickly and safely as possible, from hospital to home. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and therapeutic modalities are the same as those used by Professional, Collegiate and Olympic athletes to recover from injuries or surgeries.

Mountain View Healthcare Center, is very clean with a very helpful nursing staff. My mom has been her for a couple months and shes had nothing but the best care. I would like to give this facility a 6^th star for the care they are giving her, thank you.

Well, in general I would say they are about your basic SNF however if your loved one is a long term resident or in the «memory wing,» my best recommendation would be to make sure you come at all hours especially eating times and night visits. There are some CNA’s who are excellent if you are lucky enough to get assigned to your loved one you can be sure they will be changed when needed, fed (if they need help) and other needs like a good shower, not skipping it because nobody is watching. I would however recommend checking your loved ones body yourself at least once a week in crevices under arms etc it can get ignored. To be fair I’m guessing you have 1 CNA to 9 residents so they are pulled in many directions.
Stop in at night to make sure your loved one is comfortable and clean and fed. Last but certainly not least make sure your loved one is getting fluids not just a pitcher by the bed which they may not even be able to reach. Check your loved ones chart and make sure meds are given. Follow up and communication between
Shift nurses sometimes lacks. All above stuff you probably need to check in any SNF.

I cannot say enough good things about Mountain View Healthcare! I have witnessed the loving care that they provide to their clients on many occasions and can honestly say they are one of a kind. A family owned and operated rehab facility that really cares about their clients is a rare thing these days.

We were very pleased with this facility for my 88 year old mother recovering from a broken knee cap. The facility is very clean, nurses were attentive and helpful and her room was great with a sliding glass door looking out onto a beautiful patio. Thank you all for her care.

My father went to rehab here recovering from knee surgery. His bed had a sharp unprotected edge, which also was left dirty enough that it had a staph infection on it, which he then got. Despite all sorts of antibiotics he was never able to kick this staph infection and it was one of the contributors to him dying several months later (not the only cause, but one of them). Shame on MV Healthcare for leaving this hazard uncorrected.

My mother is now confined to MVHC after suffering several strokes. She has been a rehab patient here several times in the past, and each time we have been impressed with the caring attitude of the staff. My mother’s nurses always call me if there is any change in her condition. They call me if my mother has a doctor’s appt coming up. They call me if her weight goes down. It’s true that sometimes one can ring the call button and not get a response, but in my experience that happens during shift change time. It’s the same thing that happens in most care facilities at that time. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility. In my experience the staff goes above and beyond when caring for their patients, and they truly do care about each individual as a person.

Rehabilitation centers are really hard to rate. First off, you never really want a loved one confined to one. However, it can be said that IF they have to be, that the care that they’re receiving is given at a high level.
Post-op, my family and I received a few options from Kaiser, for my grandmother’s rehab. I used Unilocal (of course!) to help guide the fam in the right direction. Although Mt. View Healthcare Center had only one review, it rated SEVERAL stars above the competition.
First impression was that the grounds were well-kept. The inside of the facility (although semi-dated) was clean; hallways are spacious and allow for easy egress. There are several lounge-y areas for families to visit, and a very bright/inviting dining hall. The staff on-hand has all been very nice and accommodating, thus far. On the downside — air is only central, and the rooms get pretty warm. Bring a fan for the room during the warmer months.
I am a huge fan of the fact that the center has daily activities. My grandmother is a BIG bingo fan (shark, really!) and it gets her out of bed. The prizes aren’t the best, but I know that’s really not the point. She (g-ma) also noted that the food is pretty good and, from what I have seen, plentiful. It is SO important for those in the center to eat well!
There’s a very pretty courtyard area with benches and, the best part — Bunnies! I found them entertaining and, they aided in relaxation.
Overall opinion — This is a rehab center and NOT a resort (obviously). The point is to get the loved ones in-and-out ASAP. BUT! I am comfortable in knowing that my g-ma is here and well taken care of. Mt. View Healthcare Center was definitely NOT a bad choice!

My grandma is a patient here so I frequent this place very often… but primary in the evenings therefor my review is based on the night crew.
The facility is fairly old but conveniently located across from El Camino Hospital. The nursing staff is very friendly and I often have conversations with them, however I cant say the same for all the CNA’s, each of the CNA’s that I have interacted with look and act as if they hate their jobs. I understand that they are dealing with patients and it can be hard, but YOU picked this career and your getting paid to do it.
Anyways other then my issue with the care that the CNA’s provide my overall experience with this place is fairly good.
Now for the really good stuff:
They have two rabbits :)
They have a nice seating area with a piano
They have daily activities and weekly events
