Mountain View-Los Altos Montessori Children’s Center

It’s amazing how much my daughter has learned from going there. Everyday they have projects they work on and store them in their personalized cubby. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the preschool and their staff is beyond amazing.

Miss Linda, Miss Chelly, Miss Michelle and Miss Louanne — Thank you so much for taking care of my baby girl while I have to work:) Miss Rosa is also amazing — my daughter would come back with the most beautiful hair dos that i simply cannot recreate!
I don’t have enough praise for this school. It is my first experience with preschools and I signed my daughter up for when they first opened in the summer of 2014. All the teachers are amazing and have the most wonderful energy. There’s warmth, and feeling of family with unconditional love. My daughter is learning so much every day and brings home things they create at school and I am at awe of how neat and imaginative they are. She is very proud of them as well as she loves to show them to everyone in our house:) The facilities are brand now and play ground is perfect with lots of space and activities for kids of all ages.
I have a really heavy heart about leaving them, but it’s just too long of a drive for us. Almost as soon as we started this school we had to move about 30 min away. I feel bad that my daughter spends 1 – 1.5 hours in the car each day instead of playing with her little sister and doggy. Ever since we moved in October I started to look for another school, and to my surprise I could not find anything that was anywhere close to this amazing school and teachers. I decided that we will keep driving in until we fins something that’s close to what we currently have. We finally found another montessori that is close (but still not as great as MVLA) and should be getting in for the fall. I am sad about leaving this school and I am sure my daughter will be too.

I’ve had my little one in MVLA for about a month now, and am extremely impressed. Regardless of when I show up, I see engaged and happy children; warm, respectful, and positive teachers; and an environment that is safe and nurturing of minds, bodies, and spirits.
My wee one comes home with piles of work and projects she is proud of, and that is only the ‘multivitamin’ of everything that nourishes her during the day (MVLA’s analogy!). The kids she interacts with are kind to each other, and the parents I’ve met have been fabulous, too.
We’re new to the area and I checked out every daycare I could find, Montessori or otherwise. This one takes the cake, period.

This is a great place for your kid to be at. Our son has been attending it for about 1,5 months. He loves it. It’s because the teachers do their best to make every child feel comfortable there. Our kid started going there with a minimum of English but the teachers know how to explain everything, so he’s completely fine with understanding. They read, play, create, learn and sing a lot! The fact that it’s a new place, makes it even better! I would definitely recommend this preschool (and we actually did and enrolled our friends in there)

I visited this preschool and I actually enrolled my daughter there. I was impressed by how clean it was and by the kindness and care the people there showed to the children (being a new school, most children were new, therefore prone to crying, but the teachers were doing above and beyond to make them happy). Two days before my daughter was supposed to start, she was also admitted into the preschool my son goes to, so it made sense that we cancel our plans with MVLA Montessori, purely out of convenience. I wrote an email to Louanne, explaining the situation. She replied in 10 minutes wishing me and my daughter good luck. She was extremely gracious about this change of plans, which impressed me a lot. This is the kind of communication that you want to have from the director of a school.

We have been with Miss Linda, Miss Chelly, Miss Michelle and Miss Louanne for the past 5 years or so at another school and excited to hear that they are opening up a new school.
We went to the open house and it was wonderful! So clean and well organized.
With the great staff they already have, we are so excited for the new school year to come!

This new school is going to be a wonderful preschool! Not just because the physical space is new and beautiful but because the teachers have VAST experience! This school will be run by an experienced staff. Ms. Linda, Ms. Chelly, Ms. Michelle and Ms. Louanne have a long history of successfully running a great school and I’m so glad they get the chance to open a school together! Both of my sons were taught my Ms. Linda and Ms. Chelly and my boys thoroughly enjoyed their time with them. They are kind, caring and make sure each child is happy, well-​educated and well-​adjusted in order to have a smooth transition into elementary school!
