Nails Number 1

Honestly waste of time AND money. I called for an appointment and when I went in the lady didn’t even tell he co-​worker I wanted me appointment with her so I had to wait like 25min so she could finish her client. So she started doing my nails and I wanted my acrylics off and my natural nail with shellac. So she started ripping my nails off (it didn’t hurt btw) but she was doing it very rough and broke my nails so then I told her I just want acrylics again I mean she broke my nail anyways. So she does my nails and they are so uneven when you rub them and even by looking at then you know the nails aren’t even so she does my nails and uses the gel polish and literally the day after the gel started peeling! Waste of money and I gave her a $ 5 tip even though she didn’t deserve it. Don’t go to Lily!

My gel manicure has now chipped 4 times (I think)– this as never happened to me before at other salons. I will not be going back. In their defense, they did fix it for free every time I went in.

Go elsewhere! The staff here are rude and just out to make money. The nasty woman who did my daughter’s pedi was irritable and didn’t smile. They seem resentful at having to serve people. There are many options for nail salons. I don’t want to be rushed & treated poorly when I am patronizing a business. Nails were not dried well, we’re sloppily done and messed up in minutes because we were rushed along.

Where do I even begin. Do not go to this place I have had many pedicure in my lifetime and this was the worst one I have ever had. The water and stones where cold and that’s not it the lady heard her cell phone ringing left me and went and answered it and continued to talk on it while she was trying to paint my nails with only one hand. Then they gave my child a design and we didn’t even get asked they rip you off. Do not go here! Stay away!

I came her on a Saturday around lunch time. I didn’t have to make an appointment because they weren’t busy. I was greeted and the woman prepared my chair. She started to do my pedicure and within 10 minutes later a regular customer came in and wanted to get a pedicure with the woman who was helping me. The woman who was helping me got another person to help me. I didn’t complain about it because at this point I just want my pedicure done and get the hell out. I don’t think she should left me a paying customer just because a regular customer comes in and demanded for her. The customer didn’t have an appointment so she should have waited for me to get done. If you’re not a regular customer do not come to this place because you will not get the same treatment as the regulars.

I came here for a mani pedi last weekend while I was visiting my cousin in Mountain View.
I usually prefer doing my own nails at home because most nail salons like this don’t pay attention to detail and provide sub-​par quality even though they charge you $ 40 for a regular mani pedi.
Hoping for the best, I picked my nail polish color and they proceeded with the mani pedi. Everything was just OK — not great quality, but not obviously bad either. Until the application of the nail polish… I had to ask them to go back and clean up and correct multiple times, to the point where it was uncomfortable for me because they kept giving me a little bit of attitude each time. If they would just pay attention and NOT rush through everything, maybe they wouldn’t have as much to fix! I gave up on asking them to correct and left with nail polish covering my cuticles and a half applied top coat on 6 out of 10 fingers. It would have been all 10 fingers had I not said SOMETHING, but of course they took the lazy route and only fixed things partially. The nails with partial top coats became extremely obvious after a few days of wear and tear… it pains me to have to pay for such poor service. Businesses who don’t care about quality and service should not be in business.
My advice… do your own nails at home. It’s cost efficient and fun. Money never guarantees good quality or service and who likes paying money for crap they could’ve done better themselves?

Just went there for a pedicure and gel manicure the other day after a while, and was surprised to see everything was new! They use all organic products, such as Nu Skin. They did a great job on my toes and nails, I will be coming back very soon!

A good and fast place to get your nails done. I walked in to get a pedicure without an appointment and was seated immediately. The staff is very welcoming and courteous there was no pressure to upgrade to the more costly option. I definitely recommend to those who are in a rush and looking for a salon on the cheaper side.

I DO NOT recommend giving business to this place whatsoever. This place is right next to my new gym so I was excited to try it. The prices for the most basic pedicure/​manicure were reasonable, but the lady doing my pedicure kept trying to convince me to get the deluxe. She was extremely rude and tried to convince me to get gel polish also because I «didn’t have flip flops to wear after and my nails wouldn’t dry quick enough». (Even though they were handing out foam flip flops for all the customers…) The woman doing my toes was so rude as well and kept trying to get me to buy more expensive packages. Very pushy when it came to money. They did a good job on my nails but neither one smiled the entire time and were so snappy. It was an uncomfortable enough experience to make me never want to go back.

I have never gotten my nails done ever but decided to for prom. I was recommended Nails #1 by my friend who went with me. I made an appointment only the day before which was really convenient.
I got a Full Set of french nails, it took about 45 minutes and I love it so much. The lady who did my nails, Helen, was really nice and did an amazing job. She seemed very experienced and was very careful about everything she did. All the women are really friendly, I felt welcomed the entire time.
I highly recommend this nail salon! I will definitely be back if I need to do my nails!

This place is right next to my new gym. .. but not a place I will be going. I regret cheating on my nail salon (SORRY Gorgeous Nails) and will be sure not to in the future. Stupid Sabrina for thinking of vicinity over sanitary.

You won’t catch me here in the future and you shouldn’t either. The sanitary conditions are for sure — questionable. AVOID.
*Plenty of parking though in this nice revamped shopping center. ..

I have been going to Helen for years. She’s amazing and a great family friend. She runs a great nail salon. She is so friendly and it’s a great clean place. I wish I could say that it’s perfect but it’s not… I mean I have to be honest right?
Sometimes I feel rushed and sometimes I feel like they do things a little sloppy. Don’t get me wrong… Some of the ladies do awesome flawless nails but some do NOT. I have gotten some bad manicures here… Most of the time I change the next day.
It’s a hit or miss…

I came in here for the first time today because my shellac had gone for over 3 weeks and was getting embarrassingly ugly. I decided to come by on my lunch break since I work down the street. I read mixed reviews but decided why not since it was so cheap compared to other nearby salons. I called ahead and was able to get an appointment right at the start of my lunch — when i went in, they took me in right away. I let the lady know I’m here on lunch & need to be back by 3. she worked at a swift pace and did my shellac beautifully (some reviews mentioned rough handling during the process which I didn’t experience) && managed to get me out of there in time to make it back.
This place lost 2 stars from me though.
1. I totally dislike people hovering over me and because it wasn’t so busy, there were THREE techs that came by (speaking LOUDLY in their language right next to me) and basically peeking at my hands & whatever she’s doing. RUDE!
2. I’ve been getting shellac for years and I like that it lasts a while without chipping but also reinforces nails from breaking. For the first time, my nails feel very flimsy and bendy. I feel like it’ll break within the week!

My new favorite nail salon. Was going to go to another nail salon in the same strip mall but they only took cash, so I thought I’d try this place out. I’ve been here 4 times since and they’ve done exactly what I want every time. It’s not a fancy place, but they keep it clean and work hard to make sure you like how your nails turn out. You have to *communicate*. If you don’t, how are they gonna know what you want? I describe exactly what I want every time, and it turns out exactly how I want. They just know by now and I don’t even have to say anything. They talk to you when you wanna talk, but mostly they let you sit back and relax. Yeah they sit and talk with each other, but I don’t see that as a big deal. They’re incredibly friendly and if they wanna sit and chat while I lay back in my massage chair, by all means. I’m glad I found this place. It’s a gem and they do good work.

I was happy they were able to accommodate me before they open.
I came in for a gel mani and pedi. They offered me a deluxe pedi for ten more dollars which included a green scrub, odd mask and paraffin. I agreed, but it was nothing special And the massage was too short. The mani massage lasted literally thirty seconds per hand. Not worth the additional ten bucks.
The staff are always chatting away so rudely.
A regular client walked in inquiring about a mani the owner must have gave. The staff was not ready to accommodate looked at her and advised her to go to a other saloon. Talk about losing a customer.
The gel Polish was applied to thick and my nails looked bumpy!
I won’t be back.

I have been coming to this nail salon for a few years now. My visit today will be my last. The ladies are becoming ruder and ruder. I always come to this salon for pedicures and facial waxes. The workers do not engage in any conversation with you and speak to each other the whole time. The lady who did my pedicure today just left me on the seat after I was done. Usually, they walk me over to a dry light, recheck my nails to make sure they are dry, then proceed to tell me the total amount. The manager lady walked over to me after about 5 minutes on the seat and begin putting my flip flops on. As soon as she was done, she said $ 20. I told the manager lady that I wanted a wax as well. They look flustered, and then a few minutes later, had me proceed to the back. The lady who waxed me was very nice and gentle. The wax was extremely hot and I told the lady it was too hot on my skin (I have been burned before at other salons, so I wanted to prevent this). She waited a bit, then proceeded to put the wax. She begin adding the wax way too deep, on my throat, and I had to remind the lady this is not where I asked to be waxed. It was very uncomfortable. When it was finally time to pay, the wax was $ 12 and the pedicure $ 20. Usually, waxes are only $ 6. I paid the $ 32 and tipped the ladies anyway. Now that my pedicure is dry, I see that it needed another coat. My experience was not great and it was not horrible. I wish the lades were nicer but I guess you get what you pay for. There are so many other nail salons I have been to that have better service for the same price as Nails Number 1.

Worst nail experience ever — and I’ve been to nail salons all over the country. The «techs» are rude and talk to each other constantly. It reminded me of the old Seinfeld episode where Elaine brings George’s father into the salon to translate and figure out if they were talking about her (he supposedly picked up the language during his experience in the military).
Here are several examples of the poor service:
— pedicure water was not hot at all
— manicure was done at the same time by another «tech» who left to accept payments from other clients, answer the phone and generally scurry around the salon
— atmosphere was not relaxing, tranquil or quiet
— no effort was made to help me transition to the drying station
— nail color has already chipped from the edges of my fingernails after less than 24 hours
Highly recommend finding ANOTHER location, since there are so many options in the area there’s absolutely NO reason to support this establishment!

Came here because I was in desperate need of a manicure.
I was able to walk in without an appointment. No wait, but fairly busy. I isn’t get the name of the women who did my nails, but she was amazing. Very gentle, and cleaned my nails very nicely. Also she had asked if I wanted gel, and after politely declining, she didn’t ask again. Which at other salons become obnoxious, and sometimes you just give in.
No complaints. This place is clean, friendly staff and great prices.
I walked out with a 10 $ manicure, and perfect looking nails.

ok i’m super torn. i went back 3 weeks ago and got my nails done and the gal did an amazing job. however, i had a chip in my nail and that never happens to me. and this happened within a week.
so i go back just before a function i had and the boss lady (sits on the couch when you come in) starts to argue with me on the type of work i need to get done. i get gel over my regular nail to make it stronger cause they always break. note, this is not the gel nail polish, but gel gel… similiar to the arcylic. so she argues with me that its gel nail polish and finally goes… ooh you right, it not gel polish. thanks lady i know. so then she tells me its gonna cost $ 30…i was like ugh no, it’s $ 25 from the last time i came 2 weeks ago… more debating. then i point to the sign that says Gel Fill $ 20…my french is $ 5 more total $ 5. ooh i’m sorry i’ll do whatever you want, dont be mad. i was more frustrated then mad. so then 10 min later she tells me that the lady who did my nails remembers me cause of my rings… she did an okay job, but damn i was ready to walk out with my nails shaved and half way completed.
round 2 was with my boss… she went cause our normal lady was busy. omg her nail polish is HELLA chunky! (see photo, good /​bad) my bosses nails are NOT that chunky! she also told me that when she was painting them she had the nail polish all over her nails. like her son painted them or something. she didnt have time to complain and had to get out of there so she got stuck with them.
i’ve had 2 great experiences and then 1 + my bosses. so it’s really hard to go back but it’s soo close to work.: sigh:

Well, thank goodness I found Nails # 1, and NOT Nails # 2. I just don’t know what I would have done otherwise.
Although the place was packed, the staff were welcoming and assigned us to our pedicure chairs as soon as they were available. I sat back and relaxed in my pedi-​massage chair, adjusting the settings to the Knot-​Grinding Channel. The equipment was clean, and the prices were so cheap I had to go for a French pedicure. It came out beautifully, with a pinkish tinge (instead of the usual neutral color).
The French pedicure lasted for almost a month. I will definitely be back!
TIP: Unlike most nail places with such low prices, this place accepts credit cards. They Numba One in my book.
