Quik Smog – Mountain View

I have been a client for several years of Quik Smog. I will NOT go there again. I had the check done elsewhere for more money but worth every penny and this one actually looked inside the hood to check other things. Quik Smog had an Incompetent operator (5 months on the job) and the office was filthy. No opportunity to pay by credit card (cash only). I totally agree with the Sid P. review.

They aren’t joking with «Quick» in their business name! Nice staff Teran. I think with waiting for one person I was here a total of 20 minutes.

teren is quick, faster and very professional. I walked in didn’t make an appointment still I did it wait much time. I wil recommend this place to family and friends. Highly recommended. Thanks for quick service. Five star for the service. I m happy.

I came here twice for a smog check. The first time was at 5:30pm on a Thursday (during business hours) and there was nobody in the office, no note with an estimated time of return, and one other person was waiting in line. We both waited for 20 minutes before giving up and leaving at the same time. The second time I came here, I sat in the office area waiting for over ten minutes while Taran walked another person through writing a Unilocal review! He made the person write more than three sentences (because a short review shows up as a tip rather than a full review) and made sure the person gave him five stars. So I would not be at all surprised if a lot of the five-​star reviews here are from people who traded their reviews for a discount on their smog service. Personally my Unilocal review is not for sale.
Horrible customer service, waiting time, owner is more focused more on Unilocal reviews/​reputation than on actual customers in the office. Don’t waste your time here, I left after getting tired of waiting, went to Smog-​IT on Evelyn Ave, and was very happy with their efficiency and price.

Friendly, efficient and very easy smog check. Thanks so much Taren! I would definitely recommend to friends. Be sure to check them out. Just make sure you are keeping an eye out for the smog check sign when driving here. It can be hard to spot!

These guys are pros. Fast, friendly, and professional. Ask for Teren. The Smog test was very easy to complete. He was super helpful.

I called to ask if they could take me since they were closing in the next 30 min. I showed up 5 min later and there was 1 customer in front of me. I checked in with the employee and he confirmed I was the one that called and that he could still take me.
Then, he proceeded to stay in the office area and play on his phone while the other customer and I were waiting outside. We both checked in 15 minutes later and the employee said «oh we are closing». I didn’t wait around to hear how the story ends but while I waited the place looked pretty shady.

Taren has been extremely friendly and helpful «both in person and on the phone». I was looking for a smog check service and I got excatly what I wanted: a great service, quick check up and a fantastic value.
I highly recommend you stop looking around and work with Quik Smog for your smog check.

Tarzan was friendly and professional, service was fast, it only takes no more than 20 mins to complete the service.
Overall good experience.

I went on a Sunday around noon and there was one car ahead of me in line. Was there a total of twenty minutes or so.
I gave them 4 stars rather than 5 because the credit card machine didn’t work so I had to walk to an ATM to retrieve cash to pay.

Quick Smog told me my truck failed the Evap part of the smog check. The technician said if I got it fixed and brought it back, I would only be charged $ 20 for the retest if it passed or $ 70 if it didn’t pass. This seemed suspicious, so I took my truck to another location for a second opinion, and it passed. Quick Smog either lied to get more money or they have faulty equipment. Either way, don’t waste your money here like I did.
Forget the coupon deals. Go somewhere else and get your smog done right the first time.

Went on a Saturday and perhaps that’s just a bad day to go. Two cars in front of me and the employee there said «oh just 10 minutes wait» and 20 min later he still hadn’t even looked at my paperwork or finished w the first car. Don’t appreciate him lying about it. He also had very poor customer service. Not addressing customers properly and just walking around smoking…
I left and went elsewhere

2 year’s ago I was happy with my smog inspection. Fast forward to now: Taren made this an exceptional experience. Delightful to chat with & yes, my 10 yr old car passed. Head’s up, it has extremely low mileage & is a Honda Civic. None the less, I’d return in a heartbeat.

Taran is quite the technician. Passed my car’s smog without even hooking up the smog testing equipment. Apparently your car, too, can pass the smog test merely by driving halfway into their garage bay.
This is state certified? Total sham. Happy to charge me, though. So much for trying to take care of our air quality.
