He’s prepared taxes for my software small business (S-​Corp) for the past few years.

I wish I could have added to all the 5-​star reviews here but apparently Ron doesn’t want to work with me. This is the extent of our interactions:
1– I saw these glowing reviews on Unilocal,checked out his website, contacted him via the form.
2– Next day he emailed back (speedy, good sign). He needed more info and verbatim, «I do charge for tax planning. It is currently $ 175.» Well alright maybe my questions are more complex. (BTW, someone wrote this in another review which just cannot be accurate then: «It turns out he bills only when he runs numbers and working on your tax return.»)
3 — I responded and asked him what specifically comes with tax planning, and how much he also charges for tax return filing. I figured these are going to be separate charges. Then I gave some more bg info to my questions; so as to be fairly clear I’m *willing* to pay for the initial consult, I said: «Look forward to hearing from you. We can discuss the questions when we meet, just wanted you to have them so you have an idea of what I’m looking for. Thank you!»
Never heard back after that. I seriously was never trying to get a free consult here, as that’s too good to be true and understandably I’m not a personal referral like some of the other reviewers here. But ugh, I feel pretty mislead coming from Unilocal

Really like working with Ron. Came to him last year when we had a more complicated personal income tax situation and he easily saved us $ 2000, plus a lot of worrying and tons of time. We are sticking with him and recommend him highly. I really like that he’s got the E.A. certificate too, makes me more confident in the estimate.
He also helped a coworker of mine with free advice, got her pointed in the right direction, she was very happy.

I know it looks fishy when service provider consistently receives 5 star rating, but Ron is worth each of these stars, and fully deserves the praise. Someone recommended us to talk to Ron, because our situation got a bit complicated.
Ron could meet us pretty fast (actually the same day I called) and spend one hour and half answering our endless questions and educating us on how things work. He opened our eyes on quite a few important topics and structured our tax situation the way it made sense to us. When I reached out for my check book to pay for that consultation, he refused to bill us. It turns out he bills only when he runs numbers and working on your tax return.
My husband and I received the best service and extremely helpful information from Ron. I highly recommend Ron, very intelligent and sharp tax pro for tax planning and tax preparation, especially when TurboTax is no longer able to answer your questions.

Ron is extremely knowledgable about various aspects of the tax code. He even offers to do tax planning thourhgout the year as often as I like at no extra charge. As an independent businessperson (not an employee) I find that a particularly attractive offering from an experienced tax pro. Ron also provides his clients with electronic tax law updates. This helps keep me from getting caught underfunding my tax liability at the end of the tax year. I trust him enough to recommend him to my friends and clients in need of a tax specialist.

Ron is arguably the best accountant and bookkeeper EVER! He was super easy to connect with and in 1 day I was in his office for my initial consultation. What I was really impressed with was that he is really understanding and he really wants his clients to understand their business accounting. My business’ accounting is pretty simple, but I was having issues with Quickbooks (for mac, which is crap!). Ron quickly figured out my issues and fixed them. He had to take a 1 min call with a client while I was in his office and I overheard him agreeing to meet a client at a coffee shop later this evening to help him! Talk about great service.

True Unilocal success story right here. All the reviews below are true. I did a Unilocal search and spoke to a couple different accountants, Ron by far was the most personable and broke down taxes for a me in easy language I could understand. I really don’t want to even think about taxes, and having Ron helps me keeps my mind on my business and not side tracked by tax headaches.
Ron is such a great asset to any small business! He really goes the extra mile, and esspecially in my case since this is my first small business, I came to him with zero knowledge and he helped explain everything and answer all my questions with so much patience I couldn’t believe it, I always leave with more knowledge.
Since I am a sole proprietor and a healthcare provider (with no formal business training) he helped answer all my personal tax questions and business tax questions and also the questions of what overlaps and what doesnt. He is very professional and helps to keep my business operating by all the rules so I have no worries. Ron helped us with a quick calculation on our taxes for a projected stock sale. He was very helpful and efficient in getting us the data we needed. He further went on to suggest several strategies we might adopt before the end of the year to save on taxes.

Ron was enormously helpful in helping my husband with his bookkeeping and preparation for his taxes. He helped me to understand how I could help my husband keep things tidy by teaching me the basics of bookkeeping. He even created customized, SIMPLE systems, that are aligned with GAAP standards to fit our specific business and personal needs. Best was that this was all done at a very reasonable price.

You will not find a better business tax accountant! As a new business owner, I didn’t know what to expect, but Ron made it easy! His professionalism and customer service are top of the line. I had a lot of questions and confusion related to small business taxes and payroll. My previous accountants were not very helpful in answering my queries. Ron was the first one who not only explain why you should form corporation and what tax benefit it will give. He also answered my numerous questions without any fuss or delay. He communicates with you in timely manner and answers your email the same day (no previous accountant did this to me).
He is a very helpful person not related to taxes but in general with your business-​related questions. His fee is reasonable for individual and corporation taxes. I tried cheap to expensive one, but they fail to deliver where as Ron stand in between in fees but deliver the best results. If you are looking for an honest accountant who will guide you to right direction. I highly recommend him.

Excellent service by Ron. I called Ron to get an estimate of my taxes for year 2011. Ron was very friendly and professional. I sent him all the info he needed and he provided me an estimate within couple days. He gave me different scenarios and gave me recommendations. He reviewed my taxes for the last 2 years and confirmed everything was done right. I used a different person for my taxes for the past few years and Ron told me to stay with that person if I was happy.
