Stuart Event Rentals

Our daughter had her wedding at the Rengstorff House in Mountain View about two weeks ago and Stuart Rentals were very prompt and professional with their delivery and setup. The quality of their event preparation and materials such as chairs, tables, linens, glassware etc were excellent
Now with that said, we must warn everyone that signs an agreement with Stuart to read the agreement carefully. Our daughter and new son in law were presented with an additional invoice after the wedding for another $ 115.00 for «missing items».
Now that can be an arbitrary number set by Stuart rental and the customer would never know if what they claim is true unless everything was meticulously inventoried off the truck and back on the truck.
In addition you must pay a percentage called a damage waiver which covers all items presented back to them damaged — so listen up if anything breaks then be sure to stop the celebration and sweep the damaged items up in a box to give them back to Stuart Rentals so they don’t call it «missing» items and then you are subject to additional charges. Beware of the strong arm tactics and budget accordingly for their charges and additional double dipping for the damage waiver and cost of their so called «missing items».

Start to finish, we were so happy with our wedding planning and the part Stuart Rental played in making it happen. They had everything we needed. Their phone staff was friendly, patient and super helpful. The items were exactly as they appeared in the photos, so no surprises. The prices were competitive. The delivery and pick-​up team was SO courteous and helpful and calm in the face of our raising pre-​event jitters! E.g., a table arrived and was broken, Within the hour, another table arrived. I cannot say enough good things about Stuart and will use them again, and recommend them to anyone.

Stuart did an excellent job with our wedding rentals this past weekend! We ordered everything from plates, silverware, glassware, tables, and chairs to the cute barrel bar where we served our wine and beer. All of our rentals arrived at the perfect time (before our rehearsal) so I could pick up the silverware to wrap inside of my napkins.
Customer service was also top-​notch when I had a question. The people I spoke with on the phone and through email were all very responsive and extremely courteous.
My MIL also ordered plates and glassware to host our wedding brunch the day after the wedding, and the plates were gigantic (more food for me to eat –haha!).
Will use this service again if I ever have a need for it!

I have worked with Stuart Rentals for years on events including backyard BBQs, school auctions, and most recently an 8^th Grade Dinner Dance at St. Nicholas Catholic School. For this event they provided tables, chairs, linens, flatware, and glassware. The quality of these items was great even though we were on a tight budget.
In addition, I have always found their customer service to be outstanding. However, this year, I discovered just how great they are. For the 8^th Grade event, we had parents setting up the school gym. A bag containing all the napkins disappeared. I called Stuart Rental after hours on a Friday night. To my surprise, I received a return call within 5 minutes! The gentleman made plans to deliver the napkins before our event which was great. Then, I received a 2^nd call from the driver who had delivered the items. He confirmed that he had delivered the napkins. After a search, we discovered someone had moved them. It was our mistake. Nonetheless, everyone at Stuart Rental — including the driver — mobilized to deal with and resolve our concern late on a Friday night!
This level of service is almost unheard of these days especially when you consider that this was a small event for Stuart Rentals. Yet they gave us the service I would have expected for a very large, grand event. For the first time, I also had the opportunity to work with the owner. He helped us with planning the event. The fact that the owner was willing to help me with this school event illustrates why they have such amazing service — it is a priority that comes from the top. Thank everyone at Stuart Rentals!

They do have a good selection of rentals but their prices are higher than many of the vendors I have contacted — for the same items. Unfortunately, I had to go elsewhere.

i originally picked stuart because they had very unusual chairs that fit my art deco theme, and were half the price of the standard chiarvari chairs! they also have the fred astaire style wide mouth champagne glasses for our wedding toast, which other companies didn’t offer. the staff was very friendly and helpful, and changing the reservation was never a problem. i opted to purchase rather than rent linens as the price was the same.
I really appreciated the ability to go into the local showroom to see everything in person and mix and match looks with the plates and flatware and linen colors. some of the flatware was older and showing its age, and i was grateful to see everything in person to make informed decisions.
the real tell of why to pick this business rather than one of the larger ones is the human element — the ability to connect with someone after hours, and the personal attention and follow through — and how they handle things that go wrong: they both quickly fixed the problems, and graciously and generously compensated me for the trouble and stress, and i couldn’t be more impressed. i could easily imagine not being able to get in touch with someone on a weekend, but my late night weekend emergency email got an immediate response.
there were some problems with my order: i went to the site just to do OCD double check on the inventory that had been delivered in advance, because it had to be delivered to site during weekday business hours. I was freaking out as it was the night before and the historic site had hard core restrictions on delivery with another big event scheduled. stuart managed to get the replacements there, even though they were coming from milpitas in weekend traffic, in the narrow window they had.

We couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of Stuart Rental Company.
Our school (St. Matthew Catholic) put on an auction and Andrew was our savior. He brought peace of mind and sound advice to a group of ladies who were in the dark when it came to building an event from the ground up. Roger was the site manager and we absolutely adored his ease and wonderful attitude during the build and take down. A+ Stuart team!

An update on my previous review. Both of my complaints have since been remedied. A very courteous Pablo from Stuart’s got the damaged stone steps repaired and those unnecessary charges for breakage were refunded. That is why I have now upgraded the company to five stars.

I’ve had the good fortune of retaining the services of Stuart Rentals for a few departmental BBQs I coordinate each year and I have no hesitancy recommending them. The coordinator I worked with (Trish) is the consummate professional, and among her many wonderful qualities are her on-​the-​job enthusiasm, which is contagious and her creativity that is so refreshing. Trish is a person who will take any idea I might throw at her, execute it quickly, happily, all the while providing an outstanding end-​result. I never have to think twice when she is handling a job, because she truly loves working with and for people … and it shows in everything she does. Because she has been so innovative and thorough, I do not hesitate to recommend her or Stuart Rentals very highly to anyone. If you are fortunate enough to retain the services of Stuart Rentals, you will not be disappointed.

The Stuart Rental Company provided and delivered the chairs for my wedding in Santa Cruz. They were quick to respond to my initial inquiry and where very pleasant to deal with. The only minor issues I had was that the week before my wedding I e-​mailed the company to make sure everything was set and to ask when the remainder of the bill due would be charged to my card on file. I guess the associate I contacted was on vacation so I never heard back until the day before the wedding when another person called me to inform me that my card didn’t go through. I explained to her that I had never heard back from anyone so I never transferred the funds. She apologized and explained he was away, no big deal I transferred the money and everything was set. The chairs were beautiful and delivered and picked up right on time! The other minor issue was that some of the chairs were broken. (Guests could still sit in them but because the chairs were stained a dark color it did not look good.) But all in all I would recommend this company. :)

I used Stuart Rental for my sister’s graduation party and was very impressed by both the great customer service and the prompt delivery service. We had some bar tables that we required tablecloths for and the lady who assissted me helped figure out which tablecloth length was right to use for them. The other tables, chairs, and tablecloths were in great condition and looked great during our party. We also rented out some heaters that worked great as well. In addition, we initially went with Stuart Rental because they had the lowest prices than any other party rental company I was looking at. We will definitely be looking to Stuart Rental again.

I used Stuart Rentals for my wedding. They were very helpful to work with and the set up turned out beautifully. The one thing I would advise others on is to save any broken glases. They have you buy a free replacement policy, but you obviously need to show them something was broken and not stollen. My wedding coordinator broke 16 glasses, so I wish we would have saved them so I didn’t have to pay for the replacement. Lesson learned :)

We utilize Stuart Rentals’ services at the law firm I coordinate events for on a regular basis, and their customer service is always first rate.
I miscalculated the measurements of the dance floor area we had at our previous holiday party, and I spoke with the manager on the day of our event, and they were able to deliver and install a larger dance floor, without any hiccups occurring to our event.
For that and everything thing else they do on a regular basis, I am extremely grateful, and will continue to count on Stuart Rentals.

The people there are easy to work with. I pick up the equipment for family parties and return it myself in my pickup truck. I returned tables and chairs a few hours late once and they did not charge me extra.
