I have been driving from Monterey to see him.
Dr. Rarick is very caring and patient. He is always open to questions. He has helped me with two separate gnarly issues that were either neglected or misdiagnosed by prior doctors.

The reception office was very unprofessional. They could not guide me on my first appointment today. I had an orientation session today with a nurse. No one was in the office when I arrived. I asked questions on how much is the cost of this session, and they told me they do not know, I have to ask the billing department. There were no billing office that I could ask. No one will answer your very simple and basic questions at this office. The lady working on reception desk was very rude. I’ve never had such an experience before. I do not recommend going to them. Take care of yourself and your baby.

Dr Rarick was our OBGYN through out our pregnancy. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He has a very pleasant personality. We also liked the fact that he is a very patient listener and a caring person. For every question we had, he provided us a detailed science backed answer. One thing we learned that in pregnancy, there are great alternative approaches which are time tested but at the same time there are many myths floating around. Dr. Rarick helped us understand many of them as and when questions came up in our mind. All in all, we felt that we were in good hands, and we highly recommend him to others.

I have no words to say thanks to Dr. Rarick for his guidance and treatment of my wife before and during pregnancy. He is superb intelligent, very kind, great listener, never forces his decisions and always provide complete information about everything and helps us to take right decision. In our case, after induction for three days, still survex was not diluting much and we were in dilemma to whether continue with induction for one more day or opt for C-​section. On call doctor (Har)and on duty nurse suggested to wait more but Dr. Rarick asked us to take decision and we opted for C-​section. Before going to surgical room, he came and told us about our decision is 100% correct and he was happy that we took right decision with his inputs. he delivered us our first child, baby boy and today we are back to our home. He is a gem OBGYN and very much recommended for all pregnancy and fertility treatments. Thanks DR. Rarick from me and vidushi for delivering us our first child.

Dr. Rarick was on call when my son was born via emergency cesarean on May 23^rd, 2015. I did not meet him or know him before my admission the previous evening but he was wonderful. Our OB is Dr. Weber and we love him and all the staff at Altos Oaks Medical Group. Dr. Rarick came in to meet us and checked on us a few times. He is really personable and the current Head OB at El Camino Mountin View. My labor was induced to some blood pressure issues and it progressed to a point where our baby was having some serious heart rate declarations (it ended up the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck several times). Dr. Rarick took all the steps necessary to check on our baby and get me into surgery quickly. He also made sure to explain what was going on during the hectic time.
Thank you Dr. Rarick for helping delivery our son… he is healthy and happy! We really appreciate you and the whole team at El Camino Mountain View L&D and Altos Oaks Medical Group.

I’ve been going to Altos Oaks Medical group for over 15 years now. I’ve seen Dr. Rarick for about 5 years and he has delivered my last 2 kids. He is a very gentle Dr. and is a great listener. He always explains everything and my options to me and even when the schedule seems to be running behind I don’t feel rushed.
It’s embarrassing enough to have to go through an annual check up and/​or have your Pikachu exposed for baby delivery. Or when you have some questions that WebMD or Google just can’t answer without giving you wrong information. Minus well chose someone professional, experienced and thorough. Thank you Dr. Rarick and I hope you never retire.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Rarick for several years and I have always found him to be very kind and considerate. He asks lots of questions and listens attentively, and he makes me feel comfortable discussing whatever issues I have. Even though I’ve moved out of the area, I will continue to drive the 45 minutes to his office for as long as I can.

I was seen at the Altos Oaks Medical Group on Monday and then on Friday because the problem was persisting after treatment. The doctor who saw me on Friday prescribed a medicine that wasn’t as strong but was supposed to continue the healing. The problem starts when I go to pick it up at the pharmacy and it’s not there.
I called and the after-​hours service had me speak with the on-​call doctor, Dr. Rarick. He said why not using something else over the counter. I said, «well, the doctor prescribed this, and that is why I would like to use this.» He said, «But there are many other things you can use.» I couldn’t believe he was arguing about it. I was understanding that a mistake could have happened and after a trip to the pharmacy my medication wasn’t there, but now he was saying I should use something else. He had not seen me and barely asked the diagnosis, not even all that happened since then.
I insisted that I wanted to use that because it was what the doctor who saw me in the morning had prescribed. And now I hear, «I don’t know why you are being so difficult.» Crazy! I responded, «I think the one who is being difficult is you, excuse me.» Finally he said he would send the prescription I wanted.
… 2 hours later …
I get a call from the pharmacy and he sent a different prescription. The guy simply doesn’t want to fill the prescription that the other doctor prescribed this morning. What he sent is essentially different from what the other doctor prescribed
I guess he was just pissed to have his dinner interrupted. I am sorry but he gets paid for his on-​call hours, I don’t. I called the after-​hours again and talked to him. I demanded to have the medicine the doctor in his group had ordered. He was very displeased saying the medicine didn’t exist in the form I wanted it. I had very well explained to him what I wanted on the first call, but I did it again – I read the label to him word by word (luckily I had it from an old expired one). Now the pharmacy is closed for the day so I will have one more night of discomfort because of him.

I couldn’t be a bigger fan of Dr Rarick. My first pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage, and it was Dr Rarick who gave us the news, we had been working with midwives until that point and it was a shocking and heartbreaking way to first meet him, but he handled it with such compassion and care we knew we were in great hands. Unfortunately, due to the miscarriage, we needed a DNC surgery, Dr Rarick handled that with such care that we wound up switching to him permanently for our fertility and pregnancy needs.
We went through a year of fertility speed bumps and Dr Rarick held our hands every step of the way. He ran every test I could come up with on the Internet (even if he didn’t think I needed it) and was so super thorough and knowledgeable about every question.
Now here we are 33 weeks pregnant, and of course, Dr Rarick has been such a great support the whole way through. He takes his time for questions, has incredible bed side manner, and is extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend him!

Dr Rarick is a gem of a person. I found Dr Thomas Rarick to be a very kind, knowledgable and caring person. I visited him for a non-​pregnancy/​delivery issue and yet he gave me almost an hour of his time to listen to my issues. I have been consulting various doctors with my HMO for 2 years (doctors who never spent more than 10 – 15 minutes) without any solution. My quality of life improved drastically and after a couple of months Dr Rarick’s line of treatment and I feel a lot better now. I was looking for an doctor for my husband and Dr Rarick was instrumental in referring me to a wonderful endocrinologist. Thanks Dr Rarick!
