History
Established in 1979.
Wortzel Integrative Dental Care is the realization of a dream that began in 1979, when Dr. Rob Wortzel established his Mountainside practice. At that time, his highest aspiration was to help his patients keep their teeth for a lifetime.
Realizing that dental fear prevented many people from seeking the care they needed, Dr. Rob used his musical talents to help children and adults move beyond their fear.
In the1990’s, Dr. Rob completed advanced training at the renowned Pankey Institute. This comprehensive approach to oral health included an optimal balance of healthy teeth, healthy gums, a healthy bite and a healthy (vibrant) smile. As his patients began to improve their oral health, it became evident that their healthy mouths enhanced their confidence and well-being.
Then, in 2007, Dr Rob realized that, through an integrative approach to dental care, he could help his patients achieve not only the benefits of excellent oral health, but enhanced overall health.

Dr. Rob Wortzel and his team of dedicated professionals have been improving smiles and enhancing lives for over 30 years. He has combined his advanced dental training at the renowned Pankey Institute with his extensive pursuit of complimentary health care. He has a BA degree in biology from Franklin and Marshall College and a DMD degree from UMDNJ. He is a member of the Union County. Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, American Dental Association as well as being an active member in the AADPA and Seattle Study Club.
In addition to his traditional and advanced training, Dr. Wortzel has redefined dental healthcare to include a patient-centered approach that connects oral health to overall health and well-being.
