Brier Veterinary Hospital

I am quite thankful for this little veterinary hospital.
On a Monday morning I woke up and discovered blood in my dog’s urine. I immediately called the office when they opened to see if they had any openings and thankfully they did! Between the time I called and the time of the appointment, they were able to make contact with my old vet office (in Ohio) to get ahold of my dog’s records.
By the time I got to the office my dog was peeing everywhere and I felt bad taking her inside so we waited outside. When the exam room was ready, we went in and waited for the vet tech. The vet tech. took my dog’s history and did a general exam (temperature, etc.). During this very brief encounter my dog peed all over the floor multiple times. I felt terrible but the vet tech. reassured me it was okay and continued cleaning up the pee.
We saw Dr. Earls and she was quite friendly. We ran some tests on my dog and she prescribed an antibiotic and recommended we return for X-​rays to see if my dog had stones in her bladder.
I will likely be back when my dogs need to do their annual visit. It is quite convenient to my place. The only downside is that they’re not open later than 5pm throughout the week which forces me to either take time off work or take a Saturday appointment. (No biggie.)

Was not happy with service, the vet tech were very nice but the vet my dog was seen by was rude and not very helpful at all. And it’s not clean, my dog got fleas on him from the exam room.

I have five pets, and all five see Drs. Earls and Johnson whenever we need to fix what ails them.
Both are incredibly conscious about the cost of veterinary care, and make sure to consider that your pocketbook is not bottomless when suggesting diagnostics or treatments. Our younger dog has been treated for a lupoid condition using vitamin supplements found at Costco, and a bad case of acid reflux using a common acid reducing medication, with great success. Our older dog has been seen more than a few times as well, for ulcers, hotspots, and one notable tooth removal that was wicked difficult. The vet techs put the cutest wraps on our dog’s foot when he lost one set of nails, and it had a little minion on it!
Our cats have gotten equally wonderful care, dealing with neutering, sudden weight loss, health decline, and end of life for one of them. I’m consistently impressed with their entire office.

We were very happy with our previous Vet hospital, but Dr. Earls was exceptionally caring with our now-​passed FIV-​Positive cat. When we heard she’d left that group, we followed her to Brier Vet. Hospital, and have been very pleased with the service and the professionalism.

Very pleased with my recent experience at Brier Vet. I had been looking for a cost effective dental cleaning for my cat and had asked around for months before taking her to Brier. I received their information from someone at Mud Bay. When calling around and doing cost comparison I found their dental cleaning to be cheaper than others in the area, including my own vet, $ 225 for the basic cleaning under anesthia. Note this does not include extractions but thankfully my pet didn’t need any. My cat’s teeth had so much tartar on them but they were beautifully clean after her appt. I also took advantage of the opportunity to have my pet X-​rayed while she was under anesthia as I suspected something may be wrong with her. The front desk staff were very nice and the Doctor provided excellent communication, I appreciated the doctor taking the time to talk thru and understand my cats medical history and answer any and all of my questions. Will definitely recommend this place to others.

My dog Sadie has been going here since the days of Dr. Bob.
I was really nervous when the ownership changed but that quickly changed. Sadie has anxiety and both the front desk/​Vet Techs and the Vet are amazing with her. They acknowledge her nerves and are very very patient with her. I love that they take the time to know and remember my dog and make her feel comfortable in the space. Excellent all the way around!

Poor kitty. The vet people fixed a small issue and were very quick to get us a same day appointment and saw us right away even though we showed up early. (30 minutes early!)
Our kitty started drooling excessively and we got him in to the vet immediaetly. The vet (Carol) was extremely helpful and diagnosed him with a spider bite in his mouth from the kitty attempting to eat the spider.
A shot and some fluids later and everything was fine!
Highly reccommended.

I am very happy with the visit I just had with my 14 year old cat. I have been going to Cat’s Exclusive in Shoreline and I gave up on them for many reasons.
Brier Vet is VERY knowledgeable about cats and Dr. Steve Johnson did a great job informing me about what was going on with my cat. He was great and I plan to make him our regular Dr. from now on.

I COMPLETELY recommend this vet clinic. Here are my reasons:
–The front desk staff were very professional and super courteous.
–The vet tech was really friendly to both human and animal members of our family, and knew her stuff. She gave me recommendations of a better flea and worm med before the vet came in.
–The vet was SO competent, friendly, great with my two dogs, helped me save a ton of money on meds by recommending a medicine that better met my needs but was cheaper that what I was using, respected my decision making process on what plan to take but gave me all the information so I could make an informed decision. She was super competent and knew all about different procedures to the point that should could really explain the pros and cons of everything, and she was respectful and not demeaning in her explanations. I loved her.
–The whole office was kid friendly! There were kid books in the rooms, the vet let my kids listen to our dog’s heartbeats, explained measurement: ccs and mLs.
I 100% recommend this vet clinic to anyone I know. I was so impressed.

If you go here to even get your pet looked at be aware you will be charged a fortune and they don’t care about you it’s about the money they get. I went to get my pet a health certificate to fly and they messed up because the lady that wrote it was training another one and it could not be worse. Dr. Earls spent 4 min with my dog and didn’t double check the certificate so my pet missed her flight because they would not take certificate and did I get a refund? No! I talked to Dr. Earls she laughed and said it’s the service she gave me so no reason! Will NOT be back DO NOT RECOMMEND! If you care for your baby find a place that will actually care for you and her!

I wanted to make sure I wrote about how nice everyone at this office was. I recently brought a outside neighbor cat in for a check up. The owner was out of town and the cat needed some care, so I took it upon myself to bring him in. He got a basic check up and I was given some ideas of what might be wrong with him. He was dehydrated, infested with fleas, skin and bones, and was pretty old. They couldn’t give me a answer on exactly what was wrong with him without blood work, which made perfect sense. Odds were good it was something internal like renal failure, diabetes or something not good. So blood work was for sure needed. Since it wasn’t my cat, I couldn’t make that call, but they were kind enough to pull the blood and not charge me. They left it up to the owner to do if they chose to. They were not going to force the owner to pay for the blood work unless they wanted it tested. (they did get the blood work tested. :)) The vet was kind enough to do a flea treatment for free for the kitty and was so very nice. The gal at the front desk (I’m afraid I don’t recall her name) was wonderful and very helpful. And the vet was just great!

I was not happy when Dr. Bob sold out but figured how bad can it be. Bad!!! no bedside manor with dogs, this Vet is only concerned about how money they can charge for their services, tests were done that were not needed and they cost a fortune. I guess they need that money to pay for the renovations that Dr. Bobs office didn’t need, he was just a good Vet that was excellent with dogs and cats, he didn’t charge and arm and a legs when it wasn’t nessasary. I would go to any other vets office I could find, especally if you a dog owner.

This Veterinary office recently changed owners and Dr. Earls is great. Much better than the previous owner.
I had a 14 year old cat and after blood tests confirmed he had both Kidney and Thyroid issues and things just weren’t going very good in his world. Dr. Earls talked me through all options and was very good at explaining so that I would understand.
I ended up putting him down last Friday. The comfort the office staff and Dr. Earls extended to me did not go unnoticed. Dr. Earls stayed with Toby until the very end and was there for him when I couldn’t stay any longer.
Yesterday I received a card in the mail from her and her staff offering sympathy for my loss. It’s the personal touch that makes a difference when it comes to our furry family!

This clinic changed ownership earlier in the summer. I was hearing good things about the new owner so decided to give Brier Veterinary Hospital a try.
I was so happy I did! I took my kitten in yesterday to get spayed. Dr. Earls was at the front counter when I arrived and greeted me with a smile. She then held my kitten and gave her some love before getting her settled for her surgery. She was very genuine and put my kitten at ease.
The space is currently being remodeled — Dr. Earls was very excited about being able to make the animals and clients as comfortable as possible, as well as offering high quality medicine.
The staff was courteous and helpful and my entire experience was wonderful! I plan on bringing my other pets to Brier Veterinary Hospital and will HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, competent veterinarian. I am so glad I decided to give this clinic a try!

My hubby and I have 4 cats (aka 16 paws of destruction) our youngest is 6 our oldest is 17. Needless to say we’ve seen our share of vets…
Recently our middle fuzzy child was having some problems. We’d moved to the area about a year ago and wanted to find a LOCAL vet. (hey two of the four are Siamese — you try listening to them cry while you drive 30 minutes to the vet!)
Anyways — after much research we decided on visiting Brier Vet. They are new to the area but I was able to snag some reviews on Carol.
My hubby has the more flexible schedule so he made the first visit. But I am the «know it all» and the ultimate cat mom. Carol allowed my hubby to put me on speaker and participate in the visit.
Turns our we needed to do some xrays and teeth cleaning on her. On the day of the procedure everyone took amazing care of her.
Annnnd after all that the Xrays came back clear (cats issues can be such an enigma!) But Carol already had a plan of action in place and we’ll keeping trying to figure it out.
So on behalf of myself, my hubby and our kitty krew — we recommend Brier Vet
