This place is pretty good… The subs get 5 stars for sure but the customer service is what got me. What if it was my first time in there and I didn’t know you have to tell them if you want mayo and mustard before the veggies. I understand your busy and there is a line but you can ask or maybe you should fix your online ordering. Then I don’t have to deal with getting dirty looks for hit remembering. Really great just don’t go there during lunch hour.

For fast food, this was really good. I like that the cheese and meats are not cut until you order. Also, their ingredient choice is not full of off the wall items like some other sub places, it’s just high quality traditional choices. I like the bread they use, it doesn’t smell so badly of yeast that it impregnates your clothes(like other places) nor is it cheap or tasteless. What put me off was the fact that the employees seemed completely pissed off at me for daring to order a sandwich from them. When they were done, I felt like I needed to apologize for bothering them. I can deal with that, however. It just means I don’t have to tip.

Holy cow! Any positive reviews for this place are either for a totally different set of operators, or by people who don’t know how good this chain usually is. My sandwich was slapped together as though they resented my presence, and the amount of meat barely covered the bread. I have been getting the same sandwich from PoS for 30 years, so I know how many slices of each they are supposed to use, and except for the ham, I got about half of what I was supposed to. We still don’t have one of these where we live now, so my experience was a huge disappointment that I went out of my way for, and had really been looking forward to. If you have never tried a Port of Subs, skip this one, as it’s a dark scary shadow of what it should be.

I really like the sandwhiches here. I go very frequently especially when i wanna eat something less fatty. I and up buying for the rest of my family whenever i go. Their prices are pretty good though so it doesn’t hurt my pocket hugely. I feel that they need a little more selection with their veggies. I should mention too that unfortunayely depending on when u go the service is either fair or lacking. I go back because I really like sandwiches but I don’t always feel like the I’m really welcome to keep going back.

Not really impressed. The sandwich I ordered tasted like something I could make at home easily minus any flavor. I tried it once. Maybe I’ll try a breakfast sandwich next time. Ladies making sandwich seemed angry. Not very many choices for toppings.

Food is not too bad, but customer service is awful. They are so impolite, if change them you can make more

If you’re looking for a good, basic sandwich shop, Port of Subs is your tasty Subway alternative! I’m just sad that this is the closest one to Seattle. This location is on the corner of a strip mall, with plenty of nearby parking. We were there at dinnertime on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty — most people seem to just get orders to-go. The store is clean and well-maintained with lots of seating, though. There were several fairly large wall-mounted TVs playing sports, and it’s difficult to sit in a spot where you can’t see a screen, which is mildly annoying. My usual order is a #15 on white, but I decided to go slightly healthier with the wheat bread this time. The wheat bread doesn’t seem particularly whole-grain or wholesome, so don’t go expecting some kind of seeded multigrain deliciousness. Our guy made the sandwiches quickly and to order. All the ingredients seemed fresh and the prep area was clean. They have hot and cold sandwiches, breakfast items, sides like soups and pickles, and a couple of dessert items like cookies and brownies. The combos are a pretty good deal and include chips and a drink, so I usually get that. Overall, a clean, reliable location of a sandwich chain that I like. Good for road trips or quick meals when you just want something easy and inexpensive.

Not impressed by this place at all. Overpriced and not very good service. I guess the bread is baked fresh and ingredients are fresh as well. I didn’t find the taste or quality to be unique at all. Won’t return.

I called Harry the manager at this Port of Subs. I told him that I want to eat there but my coupon expired on 7÷31÷2015. I told him if he could honor my coupon, I would bring my husband in to eat dinner. Harry said he would take the expired coupon«No problem so long as it’s not a photo copy of a coupon.» We went to Port of Subs. I was so happy that I did. My husband had #3 and I had #5. With the coupon we got 2 foot long sandwiches for less than $ 9 total. ITWAS A GREATDEAL! Harry was very generous with the vegetables. Both he and the other employee were very kind to us. It’s a nice clean atmosphere. My husband got a chance to watch his favorite baseball team while we ate. Relaxing, very good food! Thanks Harry and associate. Please, everybody eat here! It’s great! Good price, clean, great sandwiches, nice people — what else do you need? What else could you ask for? Very good! Thank you Harry!

We get subs to go when we don’t want to cook. I get an Italian with the works. They are inexpensive, taste great and are consistent.

People are very nice here, and professional. Strictly good business! This place has great bread. I don’t know where it came from, they could have easily baked it I guess. Just totally great stuff. And the provolone cheese. With mayo. Easy components for a sandwich place to ruin. You’ve gotta trust me, this place is far better than subway, on par with Jimmy John’s. Also, a fantastic nail salon(TT) located just around the corner. Sounds like a nice little afternoon ;)

Stopped in for a sub. Ordered the #1… Salami Ham and some other Italian meats and cheese on wheat bread. It was really good. They give you a lot of meat for your money and a large was less then $ 10. Way tastier then Subway. Very basic other vegis and sauces but I was happy and I will be back

Our office orders sandwiches for meetings from Port O Subs. My complaint is the sandwiches the same nutrition content as other American fast food places: empty calories The bread may be fresh, but even the so-called whole wheat bread is quick rising, soft, sweetened American style bread made mostly with processed white flour. A sauce rich in mayonnaise made from mystery oils is generously applied. Thin layers of lettuce, bullet hard tomato slices, and slices of onions are added to a thin layer of whatever processed meat and/or cheese. A small, calorie laden slice of a submarine sandwich slice is remarkably unsatisfying. Perhaps the idea is to have people eats lots of them, also not a good idea.

stopped their thinking it was a different sub shop we had recently tried and liked down in Lake City. As soon as saw name knew it was a different restaurant but decided to try it. if you like skimpy portions of meat and pressed meats you will like this. there are a lot of veggies.

I live right next to a Subway, but I will drive the extra 5−10mins just to go to Port of Subs. I always get the white bread for my sandwiches. It is soft, and very tasty. The fresh sliced meat, cheese, and fresh vegetables really hit the spot. The people working there are friendly, and know what they’re doing. It’s a little more pricey than Subway, but it is so worth it. Its just a great, solid sandwich… I think I may grab one on the way home from work today!

The sandwiches are good. They slice the meat and cheese to order. Everything tasted fresh. The are three bread choices; we got sour dough and it was good. The customer service was fine. This place is way better than subway(but that’s not hard to do). We will be back for sure.

If you’re looking for a run of the mill sub shop in a strip mall, then this is IT! There’s a Subway near buy but I think this place is better than Subway. The people running this place are courteous but a bit slow. The place is clean but nothing fancy. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, which I guess it’s the best thing to order at a sub shop. Anyways, the meat was very mushy. Like pre-chewed meat. it was alright, I guess. I’m pretty sure they microwaved the meat while I was there too. Fresh! Anyways, I think the bread here(ordered sourdough) is actually pretty decent!

I got the turkey, pastrami, Swiss with bacon on white bread. The white bread looked deflated and thin. I got a good amount of cut meat. I like that they slice the cheese and meat in front of you. As for toppings there is the typical variety you would find at a subway. Customer service: the people making my sandwich worked very slowly, couldn’t hear me or understand what I asked for on my sandwich. It was my first time there and I wish they told me about the various sauces. They didn’t smile or start any conversations. Only what do you want and sign here. Taste: it was a great sub! I loved the pastrami and the turkey together! Great flavor and I love the spices from the pastrami. The bread was deflated and thin so you can really taste the meat.

I have been a fan of Port of Subs ever since I discovered the brand when I still lived in Bellingham. Then after moving around the Seattle area for a few years I ended up living just a few minutes away from this location in Mountlake Terrace. I have to tell you that the people who own this particular Port of Subs really epitomize how a small business or franchise should be run. For starters, the food, service, and appearance of the restaurant have all been exactly the same every single time I’ve been here which has been many times over the years. This is truly a family owned and operated business and it really shows how much they care about their customers. What I love about their sandwiches is that everything is as fresh as it can possibly be. When you place your order, they take out the block of meat and slice it right on to the fresh baked bread as opposed to other places that peel off the wax paper from the stuff that was portioned out at least as far back as the night before. You can really taste a difference in the overall quality of the ingredients they offer and that puts them way ahead of the other chain competitors. If you are in the area, definitely stop in, you won’t regret it.
