H&R Block

Horrible Experience. My tax lady, Patricia, did not know what she was doing with my Michigan returns, but she did try. She was very nice and tried to figure out how to file my Illinois and Michigan returns, but it was done wrong. She estimated my Michigan return to be $ 572. I received a letter from the IRS saying my corrected return is $ 69 because of some historical preservation contract that was not filled out. When I called her about this issue she was helpful and even called me after hours to try to resolve it. She had to google it to figure out what was wrong. She said she would work on it and call me back. I called her back and she did not answer. I called the H&R Office a few days later to check up and her phone was disconnected and the H&R man told me there is nothing he can do for me. He told me I could not get connected to Patricia. He said he could maybe work on my file but I told him Patricia was already working on it and that she was to be in touch with me. He was extremely rude and basically told me that they do not work in the off season. Even though they say if you get any corrections or letters from the IRS that they will help you resolve it. I called myself and found out the form I needed was about owning historical property and renovations to it etc which does not make sense since I do not own any property. She must have clicked something wrong making it look like I did and now it looks like I own buildings and am not showing proof of tax payments on it and it lowered my return by $ 500. I still have not gotten a call back from anyone at H&R and now have a $ 500 lower return than expected. For a full years of work in Michigan. Needless to say I will never be using H&R again.
