Let me just say as soon as I walked in I was turned off. I went to the podium waiting for someone to greet … Which came a few moments later after several waitresses and waiters passed me by. Then I was hit by this loud music that was so loud I couldn’t even hear the waitress asking me how many people will be joining me. When I finally did sit down I was rushed to order and before I could finish half of my meal she came with the bill. Now for my critiquing of the food; I had grilled chicken linguine which was amazing and came with a small garlic bread. Really good I suggest you trying I also ordered a mojioto which came in the wrong glass for starters has way to much lemon and was more sour than everything I have ever experienced. Which then led me to the Margarita I drank which once again was severed in the wrong glass. But this time a lot better. The drinks here certainly aren’t strong I can say that but it is an ale house but it resembles something similar to a frat house. It’s a cool place to go if your just in the mood for a quick beer or if you want to sing karaōke which was the night that today was. The overall decorations was big booths in the dinning area && lights which would blind anyone in that room But on the bright side the bathroom was the cleaninest one I’ve seen in a bar but it’s only one stall per gender … So drink slow!

Great space. Cheap drinks. Food is so so. Great spot for an outdoor Hangout in the summer. Staff is pretty friendly. Quite busy during game season.

Charged a $ 5 cover for the rooftop when it was not crowded at all. Bouncer at door was pretty rude, bearded bartender went off on my female friend when she asked him a question. Guy was unreal. Won’t be back due to the rudeness of that staff. Literally it’s Mt. Vernon, they should be happy anyone goes there at all.

I’m visiting from out of town and needed a late night snack while binge watching Netflix. What better than a double order of spicy and jerk chicken wings?! FASTDELIVERY – ordered at 9;10pm and arrived 40 minutes later.

It’s a pub. The drinks flow and the staff is reasonably attentive. The roof deck is nice on summer evenings. However, the food quality is only so-so.

Came here this past Saturday with a group of friends. We just had drinks. The drinks were good but there service was not great. The waitress had a bit of an attitude. Then I moved from the table to the bar area. The service was a little better. But I have been to Maggie’s before and I absolutely love the rooftop area and the music is good. I never had food from this location but the drinks were fine. On the weekends its usually packed and quite popular in that area. I recommend anyone to go for drinks and to have a good time. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because of the poor customer service.

Maggie’s used to be great 3 years ago but has been slowly going downhill. The rooftop changed their name, introduced a new more expensive menu, got new servers that are slow and forget your orders, they play awful country music(this is Mt. Vernon not Alabama) and the food quality is very poor, all frozen food reheated in a microwave. The hamburger is not fresh beef, it’s a frozen patty that’s been defrosted. The fish and chips are also frozen. A plain beer is now $ 7. All the corner cutting is very disappointing. I used to come here 3 or 4 nights a week but now it’s once a month or less. I miss the old days.

Came here tonight with my friend Kelly and can’t fault anything about the place. What more do you want in life than to have a delicious burger and a few drinks with your best friend. Can’t commend our irish american waitress Ciara enough. Full of chat and banter. What a wonderful girl. Will definitely be spending the rest of my summer weekends here. Thank you Ciara and Maggie Spillanes for such a wonderful experience. See you again very soon

Horrible all around experience filled with excuses galore. My wife and I went for a casual dinner. They sat us in the side room next to the bar(not the party room). It took 15 minutes before we finally went and got the waitress. During that time 3 foul mouth loud drunks were yuking it up with the bartender who didn’t have the good sense to tell them that there were dinner patrons there and they should lower their voices or stop using f*** as a verb, adjective and noun. When the waitress showed up 5 minutes after she told us she’d be tight over, she took our order which consisted of a soup and salad as appetizers. Another 15 minutes later we again went in search of the waitress who sent a busboy with the soup. Where’s the salad??? We complained again and the hostess told us it’s her first day and apologized.(Excuse #1) She asked us if we wanted anything else and left. The waitress brought said she thought the salad came with the prime rib and not before(Excuse #2). When the prime rib was Beirut to the table the busboy left but there was no butter for baked potato or steak knife. I again went in search of anyone who could get us what we needed and found a different waitress who in my opinion outshined everyone else. She took over and she was wonderful and offered us free dessert which we refused but appreciated. Then the original waitress came over to apologize and told us she was the only waitress working the first floor(Excuse #3) which means the other waitress in the floor was a figment of our imagination. She too offered free dessert which we again refused. The hostess came over, Apologized since she advised that she never told waitress #1 where she sat us and once again reminded us it was her first say(Repeat if Excuse #1). Then SHE offered us free dessert which we refused. We just wanted to get the hell out of there. We asked for the bill which came right away. Food wasn’t good enough to overcome poor service. Not planning on going back anytime soon.

Delivery time is not the worst I’ve encountered, usually get my food within the hour after ordering online. I usually get the wings. I love the honey mustard and the herb, the herb being my top choice. Their steak and wine reduction with mashed potatoes and spinach is pretty good. Got their turkey burger on a wrap the last time I ordered and it was great. The patty was seasoned well and the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly with the right amount of salt. Can’t comment on the experience in the place since I’ve only stopped in once to pick up food, but from what I remember the service could have been better.

Food is not that good, but if you’re drunk and hungry, it will do. The service was good; very attentive.

For a long time this place was a «go to» for good food and drinks. My last previous visits, it has become very uneventful and lack luster. I tried doing brunch today and the menu alone is very un inspiring, especially given the recent BRUNCH fad and many places offering it now. The Long Island Iced T’s are $ 18 which is absurd, the salmon has become dry and unseasoned and $ 11.99 for a failed attempt at a quesadilla. The texture of the chicken wings give you the feel that they were thrown directly into the deep dryer while still frozen. The service has never been bad and is usually very good. I am disappointed in the food being prepared in that kitchen and the pricing strategy they have adapted.

My review will be for the way this place conducts their business… I spoke with Lisa at Maggie Spillanes to rent out their main stage area for my mother’s surprise 60th birthday party. After confirming with her manager, Lisa tells me that the stage is available on the date we needed and all they needed was a deposit to lock it in. Fine, the deposit was made and everything was confirmed via E-Mail. At this point, as far as we’re concerned, everything is a go. Then,(I’m not kidding) 1 week before the party, Lisa calls us to tell us that the staging area was already booked by her manager and she didn’t see the reservation in her system at the time she books us… Yeah OK. She wanted to now move our party to the side area next to the bars instead. That sucked for us because we wanted to decorate the walls of the stage with balloons etc. Plus, it was a more private area for us which we liked about the stage. I was willing to just go with it because I really didn’t want to ruin the party for my mom. Then, 2 days later Lisa calls us again trying to convince us to do the party downstairs now because it might rain and we would have a better experience blah blah blah. At this point, I’ve had enough with this nonsense asked for a refund because I’m taking my party elsewhere. Luckily, I found a much better place, with a live band, and at half the cost, in such short notice. I feel that they were just renting out the space to get a deposit and a sure thing. Then, if a bigger party(more money) came along, they would shift the other parties around which is not fair and is bad business. Now get this… I had to call Maggie Spillanes 3 times to check up on my refund to no avail. After a month passed, I had to eventually call my bank to fight the charges which I finally got back. Take this as a warning if you’re planning to do business at this establishment… you’ve been warned.

Great Irish bar. I couldn’t have asked for anything more on gameday. They set me up with a Bronco tv, spicy tenders, great beer, and Irish curry fries. I’ve learned that you can never trust an Irish bar that doesn’t have Irish curry. This place is a gem, and anytime I’m in Bronxville this is my spot.

Prompt delivery. I have never eaten in, only done take-out, but the food is great! The grilled atlantic salmon filet with herb garlic butter is a meal of surpassing beauty; I’ve ordered it twice and it was amazingly even better on the second time. Delicious! I cannot wait to try more!

I’ve visited Maggie Spillane’s rooftop a couple of times for lunch since my mom lives in the area. This past visit I came with my husband and a few family members for lunch. On our way up to the rooftop I noticed that my husband was lagging behind, and when I went to find him he came back wearing a t-shirt given to him by the restaurant. Apparently sleeveless shirts weren’t allowed. He wasn’t wearing some ratty old tank top, it was a sensible top considering the heat of the day, but okay. While I never understand the point of these kinds of rules, restaurants are free to set their own dress codes and I’ll respect that. At least the shirt was free. Our waitress was somewhat stand-offish for some reason. Admittedly, it was 5 of us and some of my party couldn’t figure out what they wanted to eat but no one was rude so I didn’t see a problem. Either way, once we were ready to order a different waitress came to serve us. I ordered a margarita that was alright, I’ve had better. For my meal I had the steak sandwich. While the rest of my table had received their food, I sat there wondering where mine was. I had to call over one of the waitresses who brought the food over and let her know I hadn’t yet received my food and she said she didn’t see my dish with the others. She went back and in no time came out with my plate, but it was disturbing that I had to inform someone that I never received my food. None of the waitresses seemed to have noticed. The steak sandwich was pretty decent, I didn’t have any complaints about it. But the interactions prior to eating the meal were quite weird. The staff didn’t necessarily make me feel very welcome so while the food was good, I’m not necessarily rushing to go back.

On June 27, 2015, I had the opportunity to attend a private party at Maggie Spillane’s Ale, and my experience was fairly warm and inviting. I enjoyed myself so much, why not return to have a bite to eat and cocktails… BADCHOICE!!! After an afternoon of shopping with my BFF @ Cross County Shopping Center, i suggested we stop, eat and have a cocktail. When we walked in, the Hostess was on the telephone for approximately 3 – 4 minutes. She asked the person on the telephone to hold on, and at this point we «thought» she would attend to us… Instead she yelled in our direction to WAIT A MINUTE and proceeded to walk to the back. The Hostess returned with a colleague and they both were having a discussion with the person on the telephone for an additional 3 minutes. Meanwhile, my friend is totally confused because i just told her how much of a great time i had when i attended the private party back in June. Needless to say how humiliating this was for the both of us! Of course, we left and will never return!

The Good: Garlic herb wings!!! so good. In fact, I’ve never had anything bad at Maggie’s. My friends and I usually go for brunch which comes with a mimosa or Bloody Mary — and the Bloody Mary’s are authentic, savory and strong. The Bad: Sometimes the service is questionable. Staff can mix up orders or be less than attentive but it’s like an Irish pub so I’m not really expect ice five star service Overall, Maggie’s is one of my favorite local places. Definitely go to watch a game or kick it with your homies

We frequently get delivery from here, and the food is typically decent bar food. However the first time we actually ate there in person, that was a mess. I guess my waitress was just ending her shift and wasn’t really paying us any mind. I can’t eat milk, so when I asked for no cheese on my sandwich AND the manager came over to confirm what I couldn’t eat I thought… Great, my food is going to be done right. But of course my sandwich came out gooey with cheese on it. Then it took another 15 minutes for anyone to come around to fix the sandwich. Aside from that, the atmosphere there is a little BRO-ey. IE a bunch of 20 something guys in popped collars out on the town trying to get laid. Not really my scene so I think I’ll stick to ordering delivery from there.

My friends and I go to Maggie quite often. Between their deal on groupon and their affordable lunch specials Maggie’s is always a go to. They have a great outdoor rooftop that is great on summer days. The chicken quesadilla on the lunch special is great I get it almost every time. The buffalo nachos and wings are great also. The nacho chips can get a little soggy if there is too much buffalo sauce but it’s still edible. I will continue being a loyal customer to Maggie’s.
