CLOSED. Willows Edge is walking distance from the Mukilteo ferry, Ivar’s, and the waterfront. It has a well-groomed yard and garden around the building with even a picket fence. Indoors, the décor is moderately Victorian but not overdone. Each table has a candle or lamp as well as a small vase of flowers. I found it cute and cozy. The waitress was polite and attentive. She came several times to check on how we were doing. There was one or two other groups at that time – one a baby shower – and so it also wasn’t that busy. The high tea that we had was excellent. I’ve had some pretty nasty tea sandwiches before that were pulled from the fridge days old, or fruits that came out of a can, and this place seemed to have fresh or fresh-enough of a tea platter that I didn’t have complaints. The tea was also scrumptious though I can’t remember what I had. I would recommend the place to friends, esp for a girlfriend outing or a mother-daughter date. I plan to be back again, maybe for mother’s day!

What a nice find! Bright, cheery, and very girly. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was walking in to spring. Located right off the Mukilteo Ferry waiting line, this is a very charming little spot set in a Victorian style house with lots of gardens. The tea was very good, the food was very good and the service… well…not so good. Tea sandwiches were really great. There are a couple choices on the menu that I wasn’t so hot about but they were very good. I loved the cucumber. The fruit(for the middle of winter) was all very fresh and flavorful. There wasn’t a spoiled grape or berry on those plates. The scones also were very good. The day that my friend and I stopped in there it was early afternoon late morning. There was one other table besides us. So they weren’t swamped. We each had a pot of tea, it was mostly drank before our food arrived. Very slow for tea sandwiches, fruit, and scones. We never saw that waitress again after she set our food down on the table. So there we sat with no tea or water for the rest of the meal. That was VERY disappointing. Overall…Charming place, priced reasonable, presentation very good, Service not so good. If the service was better I would definitely put this on one of my regular«Ladies that lunch» stops. If you don’t care about how long it’s going to take and you don’t need something to drink with your food then you won’t be frustrated or disappointed.

Very quaint! I like the location of this, right by the Mukilteo ferry. It’s a cute, sunny cottage — not overloaded with bric-à-brac. They have a pretty yard/garden. It’s clean. I had the Assam Golden Leaf tea which was yummy. The food was good, the fruit was really beautiful and fresh. My only gripe is both myself and my friend emptied our tea pots and the server never came back to ask if we needed more hot water/tea until we were done! Which is also not acceptable because there was only us and two other people there! I read some other reviews(on another site, gasp) and it appears the service is hit and miss for the most part. Very unfortunate because they really have a good location, cute cottage and good food & tea!
