Wonderful place with all sorts of magical treasures that will catch your eye. From a cool sci-​fi or horror book to a really neat stuffed bunny skull rabbit — awesome !!

Ball State has almost 22,000 students and has never had a decent bookstore, which is not to say there are not a lot of intense book lovers in this town. The only way (pre-​internet …) to find interesting books in Muncie has always been in used book stores, and this one is one of the last, and best — I love White Rabbit — it is the special kind of crazily eclectic, shambling, huge stacks falling over kind of used book store that can only exist in small college towns, and you will always find something if you have the time to look. He is especially deep in out-​of-​print 60’s/70’s sci-​fi authors and anthologies, and I’ve thought the prices were about where they should be.

A fixture at the Village Shops for many years, the White Rabbit has a charm that many other bookstore lack. Some people might be overwhelmed by the close quarters of the place, but I think it lends to the charm. The shop is two floors. The first floor is dedicated to baubles and fiction, and comics. The second floor is mostly non fiction and has the feel of an eclectic reading room. If you have the chance to visit, you should. Gems like this are vanishing left and right.

One of the best used and rare book stores in the state. Silver Age Marvel, pulp books from the 40’s to 60’s, Savage Sword of Conan runs from the 70’s in magazine format and much more.
Deep collection and very knowledgeable owner with 20+ years of experience in the same 2-​story location near BSU.

This place is like Wonderland, except this version is filled from floor to ceiling with used books of all varieties and genres, with many obscure titles to boot! Take the spiral staircase upstairs and you will find even more titles, from vintage cookbooks, philosophy titles, older leather-​bound books, and classic 1950’s pulp fiction novels. What I loved most was that this wasn’t a franchise store, just an unusual gem in The Village that offered some fun shopping and interesting finds.
In summer, the a/​c there isn’t so great so you may wanna go during evening hours if you get a bit hot…
And it’s cash only, but with prices as low as what the owner offers, it’s worth it. This quirky shop is amazing, and if you pay close attention it’s right across the street from another business named «The Mad Hatter»…too cute!
