OK, yeah, the place is a little shabby. Not a lot they can do about that without spending big $$$. But here’s the lowdown: The staff is unfailingly welcoming and friendly, the rooms are very clean and have a fridge and microwave in them, the breakfast is great with lots of variety, the wifi is fast and reliable, there are TWO pools (indoor and outdoor) and a hot tub, and the beds are very comfortable. For the price? This is a huge win.
We have a son that goes to MTSU and we live in Illinois. When we have need to be in M’boro, this is where we stay. If you want The Ritz, go pay for the Ritz. If you want somewhere comfortable and affordable with all the amenities, stay here. You’ll like it!

My husband booked this hotel over the phone. He obviously didn’t read reviews before booking.

This is definitely a 2-​star hotel/​motel at best. For the price, you get what you pay for I suppose, and we got it for next to nothing on Hotwire. It is pretty run down, not really very clean (except maybe the sheets thankfully), and just reminder me more of the old motels of the past. The main issue really for us is that Hotwire, if you use it, rates it as a 3-​star among other much nicer hotels, but they don’t tell you that until it’s too late. Just beware if you plan to use Hotwire.

Staff is very friendly. Hotel is old with a few upgrades. It’s good for a sleeping hotel. It has a bar restaurant attached and the weekend you can’t even find a parking space because of all the patrons for the bar. It was very loud at night couldn’t sleep unless I had the loud air conditioner to drowned out the noise of the people. The second night kids were running all over and screaming playing hide and seek out side the sliding glass door of my room. It wasn’t completely clean carpets were old and dusty, vents were dirty. I gave it three stars because the beds were clean and the staff was great and breakfast was good.

This hotel has the necessary amenities. Not only is there a workout area but there is an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast bar is unique compared to most and is beside the indoor pool. Some rooms overlook this area. They also have real eggs… not the powdered junk. The location is ideal, across the street from a Shell and near Walmart. If you’re in town to see Nashville, you’re fairly close to the city.
The only inconvenience about this hotel is the laundry situation: One washer, one dryer. During my one night stay, the dryer was out of order so I had to dry my clothes in the room. But the staff was friendly and I’d still recommend this one. Great for families.

You end up paying a little under 100 a night for a room. It’s clean and just pretend that your bill included 2 typically mediocre hotel breakfasts for about 15 bucks a piece and it seems like a better deal for a quick place to stay on your road trip. They need two receptionists on the weekends to help guests check in and answer phones. You will wait a while.

This is an older hotel from the outside. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. There is a huge common area that is great for kids or adults to spend time. For the location and the price you pay, this is a great choice. If you are looking for clean, safe, and reasonable price, choose here.

Our stay started by being given our room keys, walking into our room, and a guy with his belongings in the room! This could’ve posed a serious safety or liability threat! Our trust in the hotel was shaken from the get go. I can’t imagine if this would’ve happened to us, our safely and belongings could’ve been at stake! The worst part is it was the front desk a manger at made the error. The only credit I can give this hotel is the decent and decently clean room. Our room was a non-​smoking room yet the housekeeper had a lit cigarette hanging out of her mouth while cleaning the room! She also had her child with her. Another employee had their dog with him. We claimed this hotel «bring your kids and pets to work hotel». How tacky and unprofessional. Who runs this place anyways?

My first impression on the hotel staff they are very friendly. The hotel itself needs to be updated. Entering the second floor it was HOT from the air conditioning exhaust. Water was leaking in to trash cans and buckets that was sat in the hallway (my sister said we lived in the hood) because on her end everything was fine). Going into my room my comforter had just stains from old visits looks like from dryer. I was staying there for a sunburst pageant and of course their would be children but no top stopper. I asked for one but it never came. So I had to use a rag to stop the drain in order for daughter to bathe. My beds had no headboards but other rooms had headboards hmm?

The front desk agent must have been new. She checked me into two rooms with guests already occupying them prior to room number three that should have been on the do not rent list. The room had an adjoining room with a broken lock on the door dividing the two rooms. The door to enter the room from outside also had a broken Charlie-​Bar (it’s the latch at the top of the door to keep people out) and was as run down as you would expect from a truck stop where you pay to shower. The air conditioning never cooled just made a lot of noise, it was also in pieces. The front desk clerk said she would be happy to send down a maintenance man (at 9:30 at night). The carpet had stains on it that looked like it was only missing chalk lines to be an active crime scene. Did I mention hair and little black things in one of the beds? Wtf?

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. When I walked in the hotel was not clean at all. The bed was not made, food was all over the room, towels were on the bathroom floor. This is some real bullshit. The pool was filled with green urine. This is the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in and would not even recommend to my worst enemy. Please DON’T STAY HERE. I hate this vacation.

Why on earth would you put an air hockey table and all of the other activities right outside the guest rooms??? It is a ridiculous joke. I think I would have a much better chance of sleep in my truck! While checking in they tried to tell me they didn’t have my reservation but after I dug up my confirmation # they acknowledged that they had it but it had been cancelled — but they didn’t say why or by who. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Well we called and reserved a room for the night. We drove over one hour to get to the hotel and the front desk clerk gave explained she gave our room away. Needless to say I won’t recommend them. Especially after we drove there for that room. Very inconsiderate!

Had to check out early due to family emergency, was told I could not get a receipt as the machine was down. They ended up charging me for the entire stay and will not return phone calls. stay away.

Overall a nice hotel, though I have not been here to stay overnight, just a day con. I find the place a bit confining though in some areas and not well taken care of outside, particularly in the back where it felt bug ridden.

The kids really enjoyed the pool. The front desk lady was really nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in the King Studio.
The pretty good: It was a large room and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean. It was a fairly low price. There was breakfast. The breakfast area — in fact, all the interior common areas — were very clean and pleasant. It was in Murfreesboro.
Now the mediocre.
It was pretty noisy. The parking lot right outside was busy until about 1 AM Friday and 11 PM Saturday nights. Friday was particularly bad, with a bunch of rowdy wedding revelers making merry using OMG loud car stereos I’ve never been shaken so hard in my bed in my LIFE I’m surprised the windows didn’t fall out. People were talking loudly on their cells while smoking right outside the door (why is this necessary? can’t you maybe walk to the other side of the parking lot? motels ARE for sleeping, after all, and since you’re staying there, you KNOW how much the outside sounds penetrate through the windows!!)
It smelled a little musty-​old and actually kind of over-​cleaned and chemicall-​y, but it IS the humid south and an inexpensive motel, so that’s kind of to be expected. The hot water would occasionally not be so much hot as … cold. But just for a couple of minutes once per shower or so.
Breakfast was edible, including the greasy greasy scrambled egg food product and the cereals that were the kinds where you feel even hungrier an hour later. Fortunately, there was yogurt. And sausage, for those who choose sausage, but I don’t, so I can’t tell you what it was like. Oh, and bananas and OJ and those waffles you get to make yourself.
I dunno. It was way, way better than a sharp stick in the eye, and cheaper than the Doubletree across the street and there WAS breakfast. But we can afford better, so next time we probably will.

Any negative star ratings? This hotel has all the charm of a prison riot. I must have died on the interstate: for surely this purgatory. I happened to arrive in the middle of what can only be the Little League World Series. Screaming, all night long. Bean bag games and playing catch indoors around the breakfast area. Dirty rooms. Stay somewhere else. Like a cave on the side of the road.

Booked on hotwire. Decently updated rooms, fairly comfortable bed. Front desk manager seemed nice but it was apparent she didnt want to be. You could see into the room behind through the bathroom vent! Not a bad cheap stay, but I wouldnt choose it again.

Stopping here tonight after a 16 hour drive from the UP of Michigan. Horrible service, the room smells, no parking and the front desk manager should find more rewarding work taking trash out for state prisoners.
