Ken’s Appliance Service

I was referred to Kens by whirlpool for my warranty. The tech called me the day before to let me know the two hour time frame and was very on time. He was nice and checked multiple things even though this issue was very minor. I will use them in the future. Luke was very nice and professional.

I have now had Ken’s Appliance out three times in regard to warranty issues with my Whirlpool Refrigerator. My service technician, Jesse, has been outstanding. From the courtesy call the evening prior to my appointment to his on-​time arrival, Jesse has been very professional and has patiently noted my concerns. Each visit has provided outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and all of my issues have been resolved. I highly recommend Jesse and Ken’s Appliance and will certainly call again when I need service! Thank you for the great service!

I would highly recommend Ken’s Appliance Service! Jesse from Ken’s Appliance Service came and fixed our microwave at the referral of KitchenAid. He was courteous, helpful, and very knowledgable. The problem was fixed within minutes. He offered information about our other appliances and went above and beyond to make sure our questions were answered. Truly amazing customer service. Highly recommend!

Kudos to Adam! He was a very friendly tech. I was given a call the night before my appointment with the time frame he would be at my place, he arrived as said, fixed my fridge and was out within a hour.

We had Ken’s today for a factory-​warranty on a KitchenAid oven. This is our third service call with this company and after such a great experience, I chose to write this review. Andy our tech today continued to show the professionalism, knowledge and efficiency that make this company a great choice.

We get recommended to this place by Maytag. And we have been trying to get ahold of them every day since the tech guy came out to test are dishwasher. Then need to get a other line or something.

This is the worst service I have ever had. They did not fix the problem and after repeated phone calls they still have not called me back. I want my money back. I feel like I was tricked. I am calling Kitchenaid to take them off of their provider list. This is extremely unprofessional.

Okay, this is a modified review, six weeks after the original repair. They finally fixed it without additional cost (except for the unnecessary plumbing thing, which I can live with). It was decided that the replacement electronic board was defective (how that happened I wouldn’t hazard a guess, I assume Whirlpool checks them before they ship them), so they replaced it again. This time everything works. Not a pleasant experience but in the end the repair worked. I probably would use them again.
This is one of the worst repair experiences I have ever had. My Whirlpool dishwasher was not working, 50% of the time there was no water in the wash cycle. I called Ken’s Appliance because they were an official Whirlpool repair center. Repair person came out, looked at it, replaced the electronic board. Total cost: $ 350. Guy leaves. We run the dishwasher, still not working. Guy comes back out. Says that the only thing that could explain this is the plumbing, tells us to get a plumber to re-​route the drain. We hire someone to do the plumbing. Still not working.

We had a technician to come out and take a look at our washer. He was very nice and seemed knowledgeable about the appliance. He assured us he would be able to fix the washer and so the first bill came out to be about $ 200. He installed that part a few days later and quickly informed us that the part he installed did not fix the washer and we would need to pay another $ 200 to get the washer fixed completely. So we ended up being out about $ 400 on a used (10 year old) washer. Some you win and some you lose. Ken’s appliance service won and we lost.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible
This is our first ever compliant, but the service was so bad that we had to inform the public somehow. First we had a manufacturing defect on a top of the line brand new 6 month old Kitchen Aid refrigerator that was highly recommended to us but failed miserably. Unfortunately for us Kitchen Aid has a service contract with Ken’s Appliance service and one other company for the greater Nashville area. So needless to say that going through the process of the proper channels of scheduling a repair, we contacted Kitchen Aid for a service repair only to find out that the technician (Paul) for our area was booked up for over a week and that there was nothing that could be done to expedite our repair. So after a week without a refrigerator, the technician calls only to give a 2 hour window that he didn’t make to show up and inform us that the refrigerator is broken and that he was ill equipped for the job and to contact the company to reschedule for proper time for the repair. Somebody pays this service man to inform the consumer that the product that you called for service repair on is broken, it doesn’t sound like the bar is set very high at this company. So contacting Ken’s Appliance (Becky) we were informed that the same technician that we waited for over a week for was not available for another week and that there was nothing that we could do. After contacting the company and Kitchen aid it seems like we are getting the short end of the stick and nobody is willing to provide proper customer service needed. I will never recommend this company to anybody and companies like this need to reevaluate their business practice. So now it has been over 2 weeks without a proper refrigerator and needless to say I don’t see any promising relief in the near future. The best advice I can give is to check the manufacturer’s contracted product repair service before purchasing a product and see if it worth it, but if Ken’s Appliance is listed I would RUN (not walk) away from that product for good…

David M came out to service our appliances. We were amazed that David took the time to advise us on the proper dishwashing detergent to use. We were using Cascade liquid and getting horrible results. David suggested we use Lemi Shine to clean out the gunk, and then use Finish tablets for daily use. All I can say is WOW! what a big difference. Our dishwasher shines again. Our dishes are clean again. Thank you David and thank you Ken’s Appliance. You have new fans in Franklin TN.
