Well, I ended up coming down to Murfreesboro without a reservation. Whoops! Luckily, there were vacancies. Unluckily, it was vacant in the summer because it was 115 degrees all three days of being there. I would suggest waiting until spring, fall, or winter to visit Crater. Joyce, the owner was great! We forgot the tent, as well as all tenting supplies. Luckily, they rent them out. The prices are very reasonable. We didn’t know how to set up the tent… but they helped. Okay, they put it up themselves for us. Excellent experience. They also have places for RVs and cabins to rent if you so choose. The sleep quality wasn’t the best, but that can be attributed to our forgetting sleeping bags. It all worked out well, considering how ill-​prepared we were! Highly recommended!
