History

Established in 1977.

What’s New Hair Design was started in 1977 by Peggy Hollandsworth-​Moore. Steve and Sandy Haynes joined her staff in 1978. Adding staff along the way, they purchased the salon in 1989. The salon has continued to grow and add services and staff. Many of the current staff has been with the salon for well over 20 years.

In 2004, What’s New The Salon expanded once again and built a new location at 412 Uptown Square, just off Memorial Blvd. in Murfreesboro, Tn. Two years later, What’s New expanded and remoded to create separate salon and spa areas. Our facility is now almost 5000 sq. ft. and is constantly refining and adding services. We now occupy buildings 410 and 412 Uptown Square.
