Dr. Hull is pleasant and LISTENS very well to patients! He understands drug costs and was helpful in finding the right mix and timing. His staff is kind and friendly!!! We had to deal with Alopecia Aerta since Oct 2014. Excellent results and full regrowth in 2015. My daughter lost 99% of her hair from Oct 2014 — Dec 2014 and then she started growing all of her hair and has now had 3 haircuts. THANKS Dr. Hull.

Dr. Hull certainly went into the right field of medicine for him, because he is not a wet-​fingered or hands-​on practitioner. In fact, he kept his hands in the pockets of his knee length white lab coat (didn’t those fade away in the early ‘80s?) for the 35 seconds or so that he «examined» my skin infection. Let’s call it lightbulb analysis from 5 feet away on the fly! He did tell me, however in his defense, to apply distilled vinegar to a large MRSA lesion. I left thinking I had just visited a clinic in Appalachia with the ‘country remedy’ recommendation. Dr. Hull’s office was indeed filthy (both the waiting and examining rooms: no pride in upkeep or infection control there) — just as one would expect out in the hollers.
Keep looking elsewhere. I’m in the third month of my infection that Hull declared to be «resolving» nearly 6 weeks ago.
Hull did win «Compassionate Doctor Award» in 2014 – an example of that would be that due to the fact that I filed a grievance regarding what I allege was inadequate care, Dr. Hull and his colleagues had the University Office of General Counsel exclude me from the premises of the campus. And my wife is a professor there!
We are waiting for Vivian Lee’s other shoe to drop by firing my wife, so that we can have a whopper of a wrongful dismissal suit to pad our retirement funds. Hull is certainly «compassionate»: most people refer to these types of antics as patient abandonment.

Going to the doctor can feel scary, especially in the instance of going to a dermatologist and dealing with warts, moles, and questionable skin marks.
I’ve been to Dr. Hull three times now for pesky plantar warts on the sole of my foot. The first time I came, Dr. Hull made me feel very comfortable and adressed the issue with honesty and good advice.
I had my warts frozen twice, but that didn’t seem to kill the buggers. On my latest visit, Dr. Hull determined they needed to be injected. That’s right… a needle… into the bottom of my foot and one of my toes.
But Dr. Hull made the process as easy and pain-​free as it could be, and made sure I knew how it would help. He definitely made sure I was getting the most optimal treatment and what it entailed.
If you need a dermatologist, I can’t recommend Dr. Hull enough. He’ll make you feel comfortable and make sure you’re getting the best treatment.

When I discovered a suspicious spot on my hubby’s cheek (on his face! get your mind outta the gutter!), I knew we needed a dermatologist – and soon. I was overwhelmed by all the options, so I came to Unilocal for help (hey, I rhymed!). I found Alison H.‘s 5-​star review of Dr. Hull and felt confident booking the appointment.
Sure enough, Dr. Hull was amazing. He removed the suspicious spot, and my hubby reported he was respectful and gentle.
I booked my own appointment, too, since skin cancer runs in my family. Truth be told, I should have booked an appointment a long, long time ago. I have been worried about some of my moles for awhile.
Dr. Hull did something I previously thought was impossible. He checked my skin without once making me feel self-​conscious or uncomfortable. Not only that, he never once judged me for putting off this all-​important appointment.
I was too nervous to chat with him much, but once I overcame my initial fears, we did have a nice little conversation.
Bonus: He actually saw me on time!
If you need a dermatologist, do not hesitate to see Dr. Hull.

Best dermatologist a girl could ask for. My dad was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma when he was in his 30’s. This fact along with the fact that I am a red head with green eyes puts me pretty much in the top category for risk.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Hull for about three years now. He is incredibly intelligent and catches things other dermatologists have missed. I was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma that another doctor said was just dry skin. He will treat any issues you have with care and concern. He was worried about me scarring this last time and had me try some alternative treatments before he would resort to Mohs’ surgery.
Dr. Hull makes me feel extremely comfortable and his humor never ceases to make me smile. Also, I love his verbal intonation. You’ll have to pay a visit to see what I’m talking about.
He’s also an amazing cyclist — if you feel like shooting the breeze.
I can’t say enough good things about him. He’ll be my derm for as long as I can make it to his office. He also works out of the U of U hospital if that’s more convenient for you.
