Went here to grab a bite to eat with my folks. As most reviewers have mentioned, it’s cafeteria style food. Had the baked spaghetti which was awesome. Did a few sides as well and had a great slice of chocolate cake for dessert. Servers in the seating area were very attentive and checked on us asking if we needed drink refills several times during our meal. Used plates were cleared quickly and thought the meals were quite reasonable. They do have take out boxes if your eyes are bigger than your belly! Overall a good meal.

Just had dinner the food was cold and tasteless. The fried whiting had scales, the chicken tenders and roll were hard and it will be a long time before I patronize them again.

It’s institutional food just like school, hospital, military, or prison. Same recipe cards and about the same mass feeding operation quality. If you like that sort, I do, then it’s fine. If you’re expecting prep to order and table service then this ain’t that. If you’ve never been — it’s a cafeteria. You walk the line, pick your poison, go eat, then pay for it. It’s all a la carte so can be as cheap(few bucks) or expensive(no limit) as you’d like it to be. It’s not going to be «hot from the fire» because it’s a cafeteria and this is what cafeteria means. Two cautions: your eyes can easily be bigger than your stomach — use caution. And, don’t hold the line while you stare at all the food — look ahead and pick. We’re hungry, move along! My favorite? Baked spaghetti — just like the lunch ladies used to make.

Went here based on a review from a Unilocal critic… Never been to a restaurant cafeteria style place. The biscuit smelled like sour milk… fried zucchini was great. Fried fish was cold… fried chicken smelled bad… couldn’t eat it… mac n cheese was terrible for 20 dollars for lunch it sucked.

I had never been to one of these restaurants before, but since I was eating alone, I thought I’d give it a try. This restaurant is located opposite the bypass from Home Depot in Murrells Inlet, SC. I arrived just before 5 pm, the place was nearly empty. I noticed all the empty ropes, and thought, wow, they must do some business. I got my tray and flatware, and advanced down the row of foods to choose from. All prices were clearly marked for each item. I had some grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, fruit and I selected a warm yeast bun, custard pie and sweet tea. I was given a price ticket as I left the line. The grilled chicken and potatoes were delicious, my heaping serving of fruit was too much for my sitting, so I brought some home. My yeast bun was flaky and light, but I hardly ate any as I was getting full. My custard pie was delicious, but after a few bites, I had to take the rest home. A waiter offered to refill my tea, but instead made it to go. This is a nice place to go to get good food at reasonable prices. Nothing fancy, though. I left with my bill being $ 14 with tax. I would definitely go back.
