Above All Heating and Air Conditioning

I work in property management and whenever we have a heating or AC issue, Pete is the first one I call. Not only is he affordable, but Pete tries to get the job done as soon as possible. I’ve called him in the morning, and he had the job done by dinner! Pete is knowledgeable, friendly, and will always guide you in the right direction! I’ll definitely continue using him!

The AC unit that services the upstairs portion of the house quit working last July. I called for an estimate, so the guy comes to take a look. I was told the fuses were burnt, cap burnt, and that the capacitor and condenser were bad. I was told it would cost about $ 2,860 to fix, including R-​22 refrigerant refill. He didn’t tell me about the wire that had a bad/​burnt spade terminal at the end. Instead I get technical jargon about, «compressor to ground». He puts the bad fuses back in upside down and proceeds to write out the nearly $ 3,000 estimate. Anyone who doesn’t get a second opinion is fooling themselves! After that bout of sticker shock, I was recommended another HVAC tech by a friend. The guy came out and fixed it for $ 300.00. He crimped on a new spade terminal, put a hard-​start kit in, replaced the fuses, and refilled the R-​22 refrigerant. He even topped off the other unit with 4 lbs of R-​22. I have had absolutely no problems with the AC since. If the guy from Above All was trying to be honest about what he thought it would cost to fix it, then he was honestly under qualified and/​or honestly trying to rob me. They must think anyone would be willing to throw their money away in desperation during the hot Summers here… Bottom line, get other estimates, people, and don’t let Above All screw you over!

Property manager called that tenant reported AC stopped working. With the heat I asked them to send in this company they normally work with to do a diagnosis ASAP and provide a written quote. I was told we would get a quote before any repair is performed.
PM called next day stating per diagnosis the condenser capacitor needs to be replaced and the estimate was $ 340. I asked for a written quote in detail. And guess what before I got anything back the next call I got was the AC guy who went in for diagnosis fixed it on the spot and I am stuck with a bill of $ 352.50.
How can they just perform work without me agreeing to an estimate first? I complained to the PM and he said they have relayed the complaint to the AC company.

After calling 5 or 6 different heating and air companies and not feeling comfortable with the conversations, we came across Pete at Above All !!! We are so thankful we didn’t just go with the first place we called!!! Petes service from the beginning conversation to the end of his service was exceptional!!! He is an upfront, honest knowledgeable, fair person to do business with!!!

The best client experience! Our air went out late day on a Thursday, we called them Friday am. They squeezed us in Friday, came to find out needed a major repair. Called Pete yesterday, said he would be out this morning between 9 – 10, and it would take about an hour and a half. He got here just barely after 9, and fixed our a/​c (that had been not working properly for a month) in less than half an hour! He was very friendly, and his price was more than fair. We will definitely use Above All Heating and Air again if we have any future issues!!!

Just had a great experience with this company. Called them this morning and they came out on time at 1:30. After calling multiple other companies and getting the run around it was refreshing to get an honest company. They came out and fixed what needed to be done at a good price which was exactly what they had quoted us. Going to start using Pete for our annual service check up. Highly recommend and thanks again.

Pete came out to our home the same day I called (amazing– we live about 30 minutes out of Temecula, and he could have turned away our business, or even scheduled for another day) and gave us tremendous service. He was honest, professional, prompt, and took care of our problem quickly. I will definitely recommend Above All Heating and Air, and will use them again!

Pete was out early this morning to for an over over due air conditioner check up… like 20 years overdue… yikes. He was efficient and fair and explained everything to us. Our air is at least 70% cooler now!!! Why didn’t we call sooner???
I pondered over all the reviews and chose Above All and was not let down. Pete is professional and personal. Anyone could have told us we need a new system. how would we know? Not Pete, he gave it a well needed boost of coolant and cleaned it up. and welll… we could not be happier!!! He also discussed filters and a tip on buying that is more economical. Nice!

Pete came out this morning to work on our A/​C unit and was a great example of good service and excellence.
The quoted price was not only fair it was significantly lower then other quotes we had gotten. He provided a good explanation of what needed to be done and went above and beyond to make sure we understood what happened and how to prevent it in the future. And he was a heck of nice guy to boot.

My husband and I are disabled, so our air conditioning is important to us. When it stopped working on Saturday I looked on Unilocal for help. The first business I called had no appointments until Monday, but Mike from Above All answered and offered to come out that evening.
Mike looked at our air conditioner and even though it is an older model, he told us what was wrong and explained why he thought it was better and definitely cheaper to repair it.
Our air conditioner was repaired two days later by the owner of Above All, Peter for exactly what was quoted. I greatly appreciate their help.

Called with an AC issue and Mike (I think) answered. Very professional and courteous even though he was busy and running between service calls. Wanted to make sure we were at least cool before he triaged our issue over the phone. Even walked my husband through a few steps to help us out temporarily until someone can get out and figure out what the issue is. It would have been easy for him to tell me he was busy, didn’t have the time, or just make us schedule an appointment and wait, but he was very thorough and made sure we would at least have a functional AC for the time being until we are able to get the issue addressed. Will definitely keep this company in mind in the future just based on my dealing with this individual.

With the recent weather change getting hotter, my A/​c decided to stop working stopped blowing cold air.
I called 3 business within 5 minutes, 1 never called back, 1 called back a day later. Guess who actually picked up, Yes above all Heating and A/​C. Spoke to Pete gave me some ballpark figures. we settled on an appointment immediately for the next day.
When Pete arrived he diagnosed the issue and told me the price. No running around a price, no i do no have the part need to go to pick it up.
Within 30 min i had my nice cold A/​c running again.
There is a reason why i use small independent business, and Pete owner of the company really emulates everything a small business should be.
So glad I found him.

I had Above All (Pete) come out today to inspect our furnace/​AC because we are planning to sell our home in the near future and wanted to make sure nothing needed to be fixed. He was on time, quick, clean and very sweet. I felt that he was very honest and if you’re a lady who is single or has a husband deployed (like me) then this is your guy to call. He didn’t try and take advantage (like car mechanics) of the fact that I had no idea what was going on with my AC/​furnace. Thanks again Above All! Will be spreading the word about y’all.

Our furnace decided to stop working during the coldest week of the year. Although we don’t live in Wisconsin, it was still mighty cold in our SoCal house! I Unilocaled a few places and decided on Above All Heating & Air. I called them on a Monday morning around 11am. Pete answered and was at my home by 1pm the same day to assess the problem and fix it. He was on time, polite, and very honest about the situation. He looked at everything and figured out the problem, checked on parts, then gave me a full estimate. Thankfully we didn’t have to replace the whole unit… just a few parts that he was able to get that same afternoon and install an hour later. We had heating going again by 4:30pm.
I would highly recommend Above All, and would feel comfortable referring them to my family and friends. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again should I have any other issues!
P. S. Friendly advice to all you readers: Be sure to use a surge protector where your furnace plugs in!

Absolutely amazing, their name says it all. My A/​C went out a few weeks ago, and I called Above All the next morning on the strength of their glowing reviews. Pete and his technician were at my house within the hour, despite having several other jobs scheduled that day as well. They were incredibly polite and professional, and described the necessary repairs (and their causes) thoroughly. I was charged a very fair price, and my A/​C is now working better than ever before.

Came out same day I called and got me back up and running for under $ 400 (replaced bad main capacitor and cleaned out coils).
