History

Established in 2002.

Deshun and Yasmine met in college while working on a project together in fashion class. Both fashion majors at the the time, DeShun continued his photography classes as an elective. He realized his true calling, and very soon, with slight influence from DeShun, Yasmine’s interest and talent in photographic art emerged. They now appreciate how their strong fashion background influences and fuses with their high end photography.

Yasmine and Deshun’s photographs have since won worldwide accolades and competiton awards, and have appeared in several publications.

Our passion and love for one another is what motivates us to create our beautiful art together. Known for our fashion approach to weddings, our high end photography has earned worldwide awards, and we have been voted top wedding photographers in San Diego. We are DeShun and Yasmine Wooten, a husband and wife wedding and lifestyle photography team of 9 years, who’s work reveals the «romantic side» of us, and our love for weddings. Without each other, and the talents both DeShun and I have been blessed with individually, we could not have accomplished our dream of operating a full time boutique photography studio. «We appreciate how our fashion background influences and fuses with our modern wedding photography. «Images that evoke emotion, pop with intense color, and high contrast black and whites, and look like they came from your favorite fashion magazine spread, are the edgy, artsy images we are known for.

Dapper Images exemplifies professionalism and their work product is phenomenal. We hired them for our wedding. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. From the very first meeting, they made my husband and I feel very comfortable and confident in what they could do for us. We knew we were in the right hands.
Not only is it extremely easy to work with them, we received our pictures and were blown away. They are an amazing team. They have «it.» I could not ask for better experience or better pictures. If you are considering hiring professionals for your wedding, or really any event, I strongly recommend Dapper Images– DeShun and Yasmine are incredibly skilled and easy to work with. Where do i even begin!!! Me and my wife had been looking for a photographer for a while and was lucky enough to come across Yasmin and Deshun through a coworker. It was the best decision we ever made choosing this amazing duo. We met with them and fell in love with them instantly when we walked up to their studio and they had the custom sign greeting us. They showed us their work and we were blown away and secured our date with them. These two make a great combination and make taking the pictures fun and extremely comfortable. Their experience shows and have a great eye for getting that perfect shot. Our pictures came out amazing and we have received non stop compliments on our photos. If your trying to decide whether or not you should use Dapper images then the answer is YES! stop searching Unilocal and call them. I can promise you that you will not regret it!

Yasmin and Deshun took our wedding and engagement photos and we are still in awe over how beautiful they turned out! I am extremely opinionated and had very high expectations for our wedding photos and they blew all of those expectations out of the water! Our images are classy, timeless, and emotional and I get teary eyed every time I look at them. As we near the one year anniversary of our wedding, I thought that it would be a good time to let the public know how amazing it is to work with Dapper Images– book your wedding now! Love you guys!

Yasmine and Deshun came highly recommended by our venue, Twin Oaks Garden Estate. If you are going to have your wedding there definitely go with Dapper Images! Not only do they know their way around and where all of the great angles are, you get a little discount too!
The day of the wedding can always be a little stressful, but they directed us and managed the time for us. The entire wedding party complimented on how great they were.
We ended up doing another reception out of town two weeks later and by our request they had made a little teaser slideshow for us! We were able to show everyone who couldn’t make it to the wedding the slideshow and they were so happy!
The photos turned out beautiful! When we showed it to our family they said it was like they were reliving the wedding. It seemed like they captured every special moment.
We definitely got what we paid for. They may not be the cheapest, but the quality of the photos, their professionalism and the ease of working with them are worth every penny :)

Yasmine and Deshun are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We love our wedding pictures and we love the video they created of our Big Day. Both Yasmine and Deshun are very professional and super friendly at the same time. Not only, my husband and I felt very comfortable posing and working with them, but we had many of our guests tell us how great they were.
I would 100% recommend them for your event. They exceeded our expectations and at our next big event, we will definitely work with them again!

I can’t say enough good things about Dapper Images! They did our engagement photos, my boudior book, and our wedding video and photography. The shots are insane and they are so fun to work with! They even brought a drone to our wedding for footage! If you’re worried about spending, save where you can but spend on photos and video, the day goes by so fast and it is 100% worth it! Thank you guys! I can’t look at the images enough!!! Oh they also did my brothers wedding and one of my other bridesmaid!!!

I don’t even know where to start this review of Dapper Images. Not only are Yas and Deshun the most incredible, fun, sweet, attentive people that I’ve dealt with EVER, but they are also BEYOND talented. Our wedding pictures and video exceeded all of our expectations. If you are looking for the best of the best of the actual best, then look no further. Dapper Images is worth EVERY PENNY.
From the first moment we met in their perfectly styled studio-​like house, through the multiple phone calls where we dished on the outfits I would wear in the engagement shoot, to discussing the specific vibe we wanted in our video, my husband and I have known that Yas and D were the dream team to memorialize the most important day of our lives. We never once felt worried about our pictures or videos, and we never once were disappointed.
In fact, through working together and feeling supported every step of the way, we’ve built a friendship that I truly believe will last a lifetime. The easiest decision I made during wedding planning was choosing my photographer. Yasmine and DeShun were such a pleasure to work with. They are like photographers sent from heaven. Made our engagement shoot so comfortable and the day of the wedding things went so smoothly. All of our guests, family and wedding party kept commenting on how lively and great they are at what they do in order to capture the perfect shot.
It also helps that they are amazingly talented and the photos have all turned out SO AMAZING. I spent a lot of time researching photographers and packages and comparing. For the consumer, photography is going to cost a pretty penny regardless. My package included the engagement shoot, which was important to me, and plenty of coverage of the wedding and an enlarged engagement photo to display at the wedding. I think it was worth every penny for the amazing photos that I will have to remember this special day for the rest of my life!

Simply the best in the business… their Unilocal review speaks for itself. From the initial meeting you have with them you feel like they are your best friends right away — they were so much fun to work with for our engagement shoot and our wedding shoot. We have recommended them to all of our friends who are getting married. Our wedding (4÷11÷14) was made complete with the awesome artistic photos they provided us with.
I would strongly recommend their video package as well. I have had numerous people tell us that our wedding video was the best they have seen, of course my wife and I love it too.
We plan on using Yasmine and DeShun for all of our major life events such as announcing pregnancies, babies, and family photos. We just love working with them and they capture the moments perfectly.

There aren’t enough kind words that I could use to describe the experience we had with Dapper Images. From the moment we met Yasmine & DeShun, we knew that we had to have them as our wedding photographers. Not only are they talented but you can tell that they love what they do and they care about making your experience special and unique.
At the wedding they were professional and so personable to the point that my guests were taking selfies with Deshun and commented about how cool they were later. I honestly feel like my wedding wouldn’t have been the same without them.
When we got the photos we were genuinely in awe! They were so absolutely stunning and captured the day so accurately both in the look and feel and my husband and I also looked amazing (if I do say so myself :)
Also, they surprised us with giving us a video/​image collage that captured the day from beginning to end which was so absolutely beautiful and totally unexpected.
I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough. If you hire Yasmine & DeShun you will truly get quality and artistic pictures that will capture the «heart» of your special day.

Its so crazy that I use Unilocal everyday, and never once thought to check out Dapper Images on here until over two months after my wedding shot!
Well, they just sent me our video from the wedding, and I just had to see if they were on Unilocal so that I could write them a review.
So first off, let me say that Im not surprised to see that they have 5 stars on here. They do outstanding work.
I looked at so many wedding photographers and the quality that Yasmine and DeShun put out is better than anything else I could find.
Meet with them, you will not be disappointed, they are true professionals. Also, everyone at our wedding thought they were great, I heard many compliments about our photographers before I even saw the photos themselves!
Your photos are what will last after that special day, go with people who are going to capture those memories the best. Do yourselves a favor and go with their video as well, they do an outstanding job.
Highly recommend, cant wait to use them again for future memories!

They had us at, «Hello.» Yasmine and DeShun made us feel at home when we first met them at their humble studio. It felt like talking to a couple of friends who you knew would do their best to help you out. They asked some really good questions and got to know the both of us. It showed in the pictures that they truly listened. Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it. Not only did they capture great moments but they also created some too. They went beyond just snapping pictures and created gorgeous works of art. No joke, my wife looks like she could be on the cover of a magazine. You can tell they’ve done this before :-).

Yasmine & DeShun are the best! They photographed our wedding on July 26th and we couldn’t be happier with the job they did. They are two of the most personable people and we are grateful that we had the opportunity to work with them for our wedding/​engagement shoot.
From the moment they welcomed us into their home/​studio, we knew they were going to be a perfect fit for us. Their energy and the way they work together made both our wedding day and engagement shoot so comfortable and efficient. They put us at ease with their genuine nature and they worked well with every person in our bridal party.. .even our rambunctious flower girls!
Their pictures are amazing and they were able to capture us in such natural and dynamic ways. They are so creative and true artists. There is no comparison when it comes to wedding photographers in the San Diego, Inland Empire, LA area. Anywhere really! Yasmin and DeShun are truly amazing. It is so awesome to see a husband and wife duo do what they love, and do it so well. They work creatively as a team and man, are they are on point!
They are so good at getting back to you in a timely manner if you have any kind of question or concern. And your photos will be out of this world! I promise!
My husband and I have been together for close to seven years and just got married in November 2013. Our first professional photos we have taken together were our engagement photos, and we were both nervous, and as soon as we arrived at their studio we were put at ease. Yasmin made me a latte and they joked around and showed us albums and we bounced around ideas for our shoot. They make you feel right at home, which I totally loved! And our nerves were totally gone by the time we took our photos and they turned out beautifully!
As for our wedding photos, again, nothing compares! I swear we look like we are straight out of a magazine, but they still feel so personal. I cannot express how happy we were with everything. Seriously, everything was so perfect!
P. S. For you brides out there thinking you might want to do a boudoir shoot for your groom, Yasmin does her own thing on the side, and again, I am so happy I went with her! She made me feel like a total bombshell, and believe me, I am quite shy, I have never thought I was they «sexy» type, but man did she make me feel like a goddess! Amazing. Look no further for any photography need. :)

My husband and I found Deshun and Yasmine (Dapper Images) using google and I am so thankful that we did! They were truly incredible from our first meeting them at their studio we knew they would be the perfect team to photograph our special day. They showed us video of their work and actually showed a video of them while working. They are so professional and they show you exactly how to pose or stand before taking the shot. We had so much diaglouge before the wedding they knew without a doubt what I was wanting /​expecting for my special day. They went above and beyond what I could have dreamed of. They took photos of things I would have never even thought I wanted. We received our online photos yesterday (earlier than expected) in addition to a slide show of photos that we didn’t expect. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dapper Images! They are professional and so talented.
