Hands down the best produce in North Alabama. My wife and I relentlessly sought out grocery stores, fruit stands, farmers markets, etc. for the best locally sourced fruits and veggies when we first moved to Muscle Shoals. That is, until we found Rick’s. Rick and Kevin are two of the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful people we’ve ever met. The produce is local, organic, and very inexpensive. It’s simply the best around. Check them out ASAP. You won’t be sorry.

Rick’s Produce is a large stand/shed with a large variety of produce and plants during the warmer months. I stopped here this summer hoping to support local farmers. What I found was SOME fresh produce and plenty of imported(?) goods. At least they appeared imported as they were packaged in oversized containers with«Grown in(insert non local name)» while other items had stickers of origin directly on it. Please forgive me if I’m wrong about my observations. And the price was a lot higher for these items than what I could pay for imported items at the local grocery store. I did pick up a few pricey but beautiful tomatoes because I wanted to make tomato pie. One of the young guys there was nice and helpful the other was annoyingly flirty in a «I’m trying to get you to buy my produce» kind of way. Dude… I’m not a dumb blonde.
