Imaginations Creative Costumer

They had a huge selection and I really wanted to browse but I had to leave within 15 minutes. The staff really doesn’t seem like they want you to browse at all. They kept asking what we wanted, if we had any idea what we wanted. When we replied no we just wanted to look, the reply was «Browsing is like dating. You stick to what you know.» Then they proceeded to always be within 10 – 20 feet of us. It’s not that they were rude but it wasn’t pleasant. It was very uncomfortable and we felt very rushed. The store it self was wonderful and had an amazing selection. I am disappointed I didn’t get to purchase anything or browse the entire selection.

Insane selection of costumes, accessories, shoes, dance wear, just about anything you need. They have an awesome selection of plus size wear, and leggings too! It’s a must visit when we visit myrtle beach.

I lived in Myrtle for a long time and still frequent the place fairly often to see family and friends. Imaginations is pretty much billed as the Halloween store but there is much more to it. Yes costumes are their main attraction but they also have a full selection of dance wear and what they refer to as their «sexy“section. I’m guessing due to the number of gentlemans clubs in The Dyrtle, I would assume the employees need a place to shop as well.
Back to the costumes, they have a huge selection of them ranging from low to high end with originality you wont find at just any costume shop. I prefer to make my own costume combining purchased pieces with some homemade additions as well. This is where Imaginations truly steps it up. Whether you are looking for halloween accessories or any other costume creators, this is the place to go.
The staff is also knowledgable and actually cares about helping you find what you are looking for. Another benefit of a year round store as opposed to seasonal pop up shop.
