Went there for breakfast yesterday(June 14, 2016). The food I ate was good. HOWEVER, if I did not have a free voucher I would have left. (Here is why) The hostess lead me to a booth with a seat that I named(Crumb Valley). I asked her to clean the seat for me and here was her response. «The seat will be wet.» WHAT!!! REALLY!!! By this time I looked to my left and decided to sit at the booth directly across from it. A nice waitress walked by as soon as I sat down and quickly wiped the seat out dumping all the crumbs all over the floor with the rest of the food that was already there. I guess this is(their) protocol… to have the guest either sit on food or step on food. I never expected a response like that from the hostess… Especially since the resturant was not very busy and there were plenty other seats. This lady really surprised me because she looked to be in her 70’s. I expected better from her, and never would have thought I’d see a seat full of crumbs in this restaurant. At least the young lady that was seated there next had a fairly clean dry seat to sit in.

Guests of the hotel on Christmas and turned away for dinner. Only 4 tables being used and a staff of 2. We were told to go to the bar. REALLY!!! I wasn’t going to eat on a small coffee table. Decided to order room service and took an hour for my food which came up dry and over cooked. Should have gone to New York Prime.

Oceans is your typical resort restaurant. Don’t expect anything spectacular, but the food isn’t bad.

I had high expectations for this place but the service was lacking and the food was mediocre. My appetizer(Mac n cheese) was buttery and not cheesy at all. It lacked in flavor and was really oily. My salad was good but had an overwhelming amount of Bleu cheese — I couldn’t finish it. I tried the salmon purse and it was bland. Probably wouldn’t come back here.

We were staying for the week and this was the first place we are after a long drive. Menu is pretty diverse with seafood to American food. The service was ok and the food was average. What makes the place a nice experience is the views if you eat near the back with an ocean view. I highly recommend this.

NO! The only thing good about the restaurant was the staff. They are very pleasant very nice and very accommodating. I am easy but I know good food. They are very overpriced and stingy with the protein. I had an oversized plate of pasta and I would be generous to say it came with what had to be a single piece of cut chicken tenderloin at best. Caesar salad does not have tomatoes btw but theirs does. Generous portion as a side salad and if you must get it ask for the dressing on the side. We arrived within an hour of closing so maybe we just got everything they were about to throw out.

We had lunch here yesterday, first day at the resort. Overall, this is a below average experience. The beer menu is very limited. The quality beers on the menu are Blue Moon and Sam Adams types — no craft, nothing local, etc. My wife got an average margarita, basically exactly like a Jose Cuervo premix, and kids had lemonade(pink). Food was as bad. I had fish tacos, which was dry and not much flavor. My wife had a turkey burger she ate less than half. Kids food seemed fine — PBJ, grilled cheese, etc. My oldest had French dip, which she ranked even below a fast food French dip like Which Which(she’s a French dip connoisseur). Food here is well below a Red Robin — just as a barometer for you for quality and price value. Service was good and friendly. Basically, after this lunch, we committed to going off site for every meal this week. There’s a lot of good options around for better food and prices.

Agree with others, this was a total surprise. Usually expect to get overcharged for average food at a hotel restaurant. This was really good food with great service. Wife had the sea bass, extremely light and well made. I had the shrimp and grits, and while I’m not a southerner, it was fabulous, full of flavors. My son had the chicken carbonara, a huge portion of creamy goodness. Alejandra our server was suberb, knew the menu and it’s preparations completely. Was able to tailor requests for everyone at the table. Even the key lime mousse was home made and fabulous. The house wines were average, so I’d get something else. Overall surprisingly great, would come back

Went here for the breakfast buffet one day — well-stocked, with all the scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc. that you could want. Pretty pricey if you eat a traditional-sized breakfast. But if you decide to Joey Tribbiani it, then you can get your money’s worth. Also had a late night meal at the Marriott bar(food from Oceans on 82nd). Good sandwiches and apps, nothing spectacular. My dining companion’s caesar salad was pretty wilted(borderline rotten). We alerted the server and it was removed from our check. All in all, a completely average hotel restaurant experience. Didn’t try any of the big ticket items, but the stuff I did have was decent. Definitely okay if you don’t feel like venturing off the resort for a meal.

Very overpriced. I wanted to order dessert to bring back to my room and I was told it would take 10 minutes. The hostess then came back out and told me that it would be less than 5 minutes until my dessert came out. Twenty minutes later, I walked up to the desk and could not find an employee. A couple minutes later she walked out looking clueless– she said she forgot my food in the back. When she brought it out the ice cream was open and tipped over in a plastic bag. The ice cream was placed in a tiny little container as if it were a side of sauce. I was less than thrilled. To make it worse, my dessert tasted awful. I can’t believe I paid $ 8 for something so tiny and tacky.

We were pleasantly pleased. After a long day of travel, we checked in and were hungry and didn’t want to drive anywhere. So we ate at the Hotel. The food was excellent. The appetizers we had were very good. The Ahi Tuna Roll and Pot Stickers were as good as any we have had. I had the Shrimp and Grits and my wife had the Salmon Pocket both were outstanding. The Shrimp and Grits was as good as any in New Orleans. Our waitress Desiree was very attentive and took care of our needs as well as the rest of the restaurant as it didn’t look like the other server was doing much of anything except standing around. I would have rated this establishment as 5 star had it not been for the wait staff that wasn’t doing anything.

You can sit in the bar area outside and order from the Ocean’s menu, which is what we chose to do for the view of the ocean and pool. After a long drive I just wanted to enjoy the water and get dinner at the hotel. I ordered the sea bass and was pleasantly surprised that it tasted wonderful and was cooked perfectly. The prices were also very reasonable considering it is an all inclusive resort. The service was also fantastic. The staff were very friendly and attentive. This was probably our best tasting dinner on the trip.

Inside the Marriott Resort and Spa at Grand Dunes. We ate the Buffet Breakfast and also had Lunch at The Bar with Patio overlooking the Pool. Same Menu. Both were excellent and Service was absolutely great! Friendly and well trained staff from top to bottom.

Excellent food, excellent service with a beautiful view. The she crab soup was amazing, the tuna trio was scrumptious, and my husbands grouper was phenomenal. My drink, Palmer Peach was absolutely to die for delicious! Again, excellent service, the best we’ve encountered in Myrtle Beach. And– if you’re not a guest of the Mariott– valet parking is complimentary when you dine at Oceans on 82nd.

This was a total surprise for us. They have 2 areas that Ocean’s provides food. The Bar area which you can sit outside and overlook the pool area and see the Ocean and also a restaurant area for Ocean’s. Great views of the pool and Ocean. The staff is excellent in every way. We did have dinner in the bar area and it was great. The restaurant area was breakfast, and excellent also. The pricing is not bad at all for a Inclusive Resort, I have paid twice the price and not even close to the quality of food I received here. Give it a try and I am sure you will agree.

Tried for lunch, liked it so much we went back for dinner! A true restaurant in every sense of the word, small menu of fresh food cooked to order. Fresh seafood, tasty soups, and even a good turkey club with home made potato chips. All of this in a restaurant that gets customers for free based on its location in a hotel, and the five or six tables that overlook the ocean! My only negative is that this place could be more profitable if they gave smaller portions and didn’t use expensive«baby» vegetables. Their prices are average for the area(about double Applebees). The dinner entrees range from $ 15 – 30(I got a salmon dish for $ 24), which includes sides. At those prices this food is a great value.
